He says to get a better look at it we need to get a cat scan done. $700.00 cat scan, later we are back in Dr. Todd Johnson clinic and says well I cant do the surgery you have to go to someone else. We asked didn't you see the foot was broke on the x-ray we brought you? He replied Very frustrated voice that the cat scan shows me the exact break and yes clearly its in 2 pcs.. So we ask why did you send us to get a cat scan done and have us come back here to tell us that you can not do the surgery. Why didn't you just tell us at the first visit. So we ask, Can you reduce this visit to help out with the fees to have to go to another Doctor since we have to pay a deductible before our Ins will cover any cost.. Then he says I have a family to feed too, is that all the questions you have? We said yes and left the room. Checking out the lady at front desk says the amount. We ask are you sure cause we have not paid our deductible for you to bill INS. Now 3 months later we are getting billed for the difference of what we were not charged up front cause they said Ins wouldn't pay. So we call up there and asked why we are being billed we told y'all that our Ins was not going to pay a dime until our deductible is met. The lady says sorry you owe the difference. So we replied our first visit here was a few days ago did y'all not see you charged us full price then due to Ins not paying till deductible is met? The lady says yes I see that, I'm sorry we billed you incorrectly but you owe the difference. Even when surgery is unwarranted, they still recommend it. So, I held out without seeing a doctor while suffering from a bum shoulder from falling off a motorcycle. Ugh. Finally, I had to drag my butt in to the doctor. The pain was unbearable. Surprisingly, Dr. Paschal did NOT recommend surgery. He recommended physical therapy. After 8 sessions with the therapist (a different office & different practitioner), I am now 95% better. Hopefully, I will be 100% better in a couple more weeks. Dr. Paschal truly wants to help you. He is not a surgery pusher. He only recommends surgery if it is needed. He is also very good at diagnosing with only a couple of x-rays. He doesn't necessarily need a CAT scan. CAT scans are very bad for you as they are equivalent of a dozen or more X-rays.

It was after lunch and the office didn't unlock the doors for 20 minutes after their office opened back up. They said they had an office meeting that ran over. The patients were very upset. I know because I was standing outside with them. I overlooked that, but the first time I tried to call, after what I thought was an error, went unreturned. This was my second visit. The text I received, showed my appointment with Kyle. I tried to call about that, but my calls were not returned. I mentioned that to Dr. Zhao who immediately took notes and had the office manager call to apologize. After more visits, I had a minor surgery that was over $109, 000. Even with insurance, I'll spend the rest of my life trying to pay off. That doesn't include his dr visits or therapy visits. Almost a year rocked on and my last visit was with Dr. Zhao. I purposefully asked to see him for my appointment because I wanted what I thought would be my exit visit to be with him. After the tech took my blood pressure and asked a series of questions, she told me Kyle, the PA, would be in to see me. I told her I made that appointment with Dr. Zhao, and at that point, she said, "Let me see what I can do." I could hear people laughing and talking right outside the door, but no one came to say, "Just a few more minutes" or anything!" After an HOUR in that room, I stuck my head out the door and said, "I've been waiting an hour. Do you know how much longer it's going to be?" The tech said, "You are next." After another 5 minutes, Kyle, the PA came in. He said I'm going to access you and then Dr. Zhao will come. You could tell he was mad. After he did a quick assessment, Dr. Zhao came in. I told him an hour of waiting is too long. He just said, he has Kyle to help with some of the appointments. I told him I understood that because many of my visits had been with Kyle, but I specifically asked for him on the appointment whereI was hoping to have the restrictions lifted. The restrictions were lifted, and I could not wait to leave that office. It seems the price of healthcare is rising but the level of care isn't. Needless to say, I would not recommend this office.

I saw Dr. Kushal Patel today and he didn't seem to want much of my time at all. I felt rushed, barely had time to say what I needed and he didn't even exam my knee at all. Didn't even touch it. All he did was looked at the xray and gave his opinion. This kind of service is unacceptable and unprofessional.
