It's a beautiful bar, but there is limited seating and when they're at capacity they lock the door, so be patient and suggest coming in a smaller group. Humungous menu with tons of styles of cocktails for all palates, really inventive, and it does seem to change often. I got a tiki drink which was a twist on a zombie and it was AMAZING, tasty and unique plus it was lit on fire ha! My husband got another fun cocktail. They were maybe a little pricey but for fancy cocktails with many ingredients, plus the showmanship, this seemed par for this type of place. Staff is very friendly, loved our server and shout out to bartender Justin - I hope he comes to visit Idle Hour up in Baltimore! Note that they don't serve food at all and some of their drinks are BOOZY so be mindful! Overall just a really great bar with unique drinks in a swanky environment. Top notch experience.

These folks understand the meaning of craft cocktails, complete with making as many of their own ingredients/mix-ins as possible. We were lucky as we were able to just walk in and pick any table we liked at 8pm on a Wednesday. I guess it can get quite busy at times. The chartreuse colored chairs and gorgeous stained glass lights told me instantly that we came to the right place. They have an extensive cocktail list, but that didn't stop me from ordering something not on the menu. They had no questions or problems making it. My spouse also ordered something not on the menu that was recommended to her by someone that had it once here before when it was one of their seasonal specials. Once again, not a challenge for these master bartenders. Everyone was upbeat and clearly enjoying what they do. Looking forward to getting back the next time I'm in Bonita.

Our server was great. However the food, mine, was horrendous. I ordered the scallops and the presentation was excellent but the salt/sodium content was so high, the scallops and everything with it, was uneatable. At first I thought it was me but I offered 1 of the 4 scallops to my date to see if she had the same reaction and she confirmed the excessive salt content. I ate 2 of the 4 scallop's served and just had our server have a meeting with the chef and owner/manager. They discounted my meal 50% and offered complimentary dessert but we passed on that. My date had the lamb and she was very pleased with everything served her. Mine was the disaster. Last time here I had the miso sea bass and it was amazing. A very disappointing dining evening.

We had a great first experience at the bar. We've actually tried to get a seat here without a reservation a couple times in the past with no luck so was happy to see it quieter on a Monday night in season. Crab cakes and shrimp scampi were good, and we enjoyed the bread service. The cocktails and dessert (lava cake) were delicious! Very friendly and attentive bartender. Prices are very expensive for what you get, in my opinion, so this would definitely be more of a special occasion spot, but we enjoyed our date night out - thank you!

There were four parts to this visit. I'm going to call them "movements."…read more Movement #1 - - Arrive. Greeted. Checking the place out. There are couches and tables, outdoor seating options, and the traditional bar like one would get at a sports pub. There are board games and and other items to tinker with. Seems like a cool place. Bartender immediately interacts and helps me to understand Kava, Kratom, and give me and overall orientation of the menu. Movement #2 - - We are given a sample of the Kava in traditional bowls on the house. The bartender has one with us. We talk about the flavor and remark on our numb tongues. Then we order drinks and settle into conversation. I had the Kratom with Mango Habanero Kombucka mixed in. It's good. Slowly my drink disappears. Eventually, The bartender remarks about the empty glass. I say I'll go for another one. Just like the first. Movement #3 - - Where's my second drink? Apparently, after confirming that he would make me a second drink, the bartender completely forgot. A couple of his friends came in and he took a seat next to them, only getting up to help a person who came in. I slurped my empty glass any time he walked by. Nothing. It was a bummer. Movement #4 - - I set my money on the counter and waited...and waited. Finally we flagged down the guy and asked how we paid. We had to walk down the length of the bar and pay him at the end. Couldn't just take my cash at the bar?!? Weird.

They were so respectful of the guests and kept our tables immaculately cleared. Access to the island by boat was a surprise and thoroughly enjoyable. Plus, the captain and boat crew were focused on ensuring patrons had a positive experience by slowing for bird and dolphin sightings and their willingness to take family pictures. In addition, our room was incredible with three balconies and two amazing views. The gym was also nice; all the machines were clean and working, plus it was well equipped. For such a fancy hotel, I was quite surprised there was nowhere to find water. I expected a fruity water station somewhere near the entry, a standard in high-end hotels today. I was also surprised the concierge could not provide a running map. Even with the local construction, the path right out the front door is nice and separated from traffic. I found the run to Target (for a cool coffee drink) was perfect for a 5-miler. Surely the 10-mile option would include even more treats. Having the front doors opened every time anyone approached the front of the hotel was a nice touch.
