My ball cap was soiled, it's old and my wife said "it's too dirty " just toss it". "No.. I can clean it" I said. So I turned to The Online Encyclopedia 'YouTube'... after I watched 6min of nonsense, I opened the closet to put the cap away and Then I thought " I'm gonna take my cap to the place on E St.". VOGUE CLEANERS. I took my old sweat stained light Tan cap and simply asked can we try? The service person said they will try their best, but.... No guarantee, and was told I a pick up next Wednesday. I took the pickup receipt, and left excited because I knew they have always do their best. On Wednesday I took a call, it was Vogue, she said there were still stains and could they have one more day? SURE... (The Cap why didn't I just toss it? The Summer of '89 was interesting. I lived in the SF Bay Area, and to go watch a game simply took an easy hop on BART and go straight to the ballpark. I'm a baseball fan, and every game was fantastic, and plus my office was also across the freeway from the ballpark where the Oakland A's played. That hat was the last surviving souvenir from the year my two favorite teams Battled it out. Then there was an earthquake. ) I walked into VOGUE CLEANERS, the lady brought out the cap..... it was handed to me in clear display bag.... it was better than clean. This was August 21, 2020 but I just came across the receipt while cleaning and felt like I should put this to bed. I don't have a lot of experience with dry cleaning and in this case, I needed my wedding gown cleaned/steamed. I brought my gown to them and asked for advice and a price quote and she said no problem, and the price, and then rushed through an acknowledgement piece something like "Since it's a formal item, we need you to sign a release in case any sequins or beads or anything come off during cleaning." My dress was pretty simple, but I was worried and asked if I should go through with this, and how likely it was that there would be significant damage. She essentially said it would be fine, and I believed her. You can probably guess where this is going. Picked up the dress when it was ready, she took my payment and processed it first (rookie move on my part, I should have waited to inspect first) and then retrieved the gown, handed it back and said, "Here you go, there's a note on it about the strap" and then went to the back of the shop. The strap was pretty wrecked in several spots and I was just panicked. An emergency repair from seamstress saved the day in the end (she delivered it to us at the rehearsal dinner amid some extremely heartfelt hugs and applause ), but the lessons were learned: (1) This place did not know their craft/care about the end results enough to help me prevent this problem by actually looking at the dress and saying "This strap looks like it could come apart, I wouldn't risk it if it were mine." (2) After the garment *was* significantly damaged, they didn't seem to care in the slightest. No looking at it together, no suggestions on how to fix, no discount and no apology for what was obviously going to be a problem (with a *wedding gown* of all items). So, for the next person: Use caution in leaving your garments with them, and inspect them before you accept them and pay. Best of luck! read more

Ruined my wife's new sweater. My suit jacket came out good, but the sleeve on my wife's sweater was tattered. Kinda pricey, not going back.

I took a Magnolia Pearl velvet jacket in for dry cleaning. Got it back and it hung in my closet in the plastic wrap with receipt attached for about a year. Got it out a few weeks ago as I decided I could use some extra money so I was going to list on e-bay. When I was taking picture for my listing I notices on one arm what look like some patches where the velvet looks like it got too hot or something and got burnt? It was discolored and the velvet felt funny. I took it back to them and showed them. They did something to it the last time I had it in. They said they would try to clean it, but when I went to pick it up, it was the same. She told me the boss cleaned it twice and could not get it clean. Didn't charge me for the cleaning . So they ruined a Magnolia Pearl jacket that new cost around 800.00. new. I could of sold it on e-bay easliy used for 400.00. If you have anything you really treasure dont take it here! read more

Expensive IMO, didn't get pants clean, put suits on wire hangers with no spacer or padding and left marks in the jackets.
