Gave me a quote very quickly, and was able to schedule the cleaning right away (Blaze King stove). My wife was there when the cleaner came and she said that he was "so nice, incredibly respectful and helpful." He explained about the creosote buildup we had, cleaned it out thoroughly, removed all the material. I had to go back and forth with the company a bit because I think I told my wife the wrong time, and they had to send the cleaner back after missing her, but he was incredibly gracious about the whole thing. They came out and swept my chimney as they did the prior year, but they left a pile of soot at the top of the chimney and when it rained it ran down the outside of chimney. I tried to pressure wash it off in spring, but it would not come off so now I have to hire a painter to repaint my outside brick. did contact the company when I noticed all the black suit running down the outside of the brick, but they basically told me to pound sand. We have a wood burning stove that had not been cleaned in years and we have a fireplace that we use occasionally that we were not sure if it also needed cleaning. So, based on the positive reviews I called Lucky Chimney and spoke with Joseph about setting up a cleaning. From the first minute on the phone, to setting up an appointment, to completion of the job, Joseph was friendly, professional, helpful, and honest. On the day of the cleaning, Joseph arrived early and patiently explained everything he was going to do step by step. He inspected both our fireplace and our wood burning stove and explained that the fireplace looked good and did not need an inspection. He could have very easily told me otherwise and charged me for something I did not need and I would not have known it. He then started to clean the stove. He covered our floors and everything around the stove with clean tarps. He took his time and really got in there and cleaned everything. He then went up on the roof and cleaned and inspected everything else. Afterwards he showed me the amount of build-up that came out of the pipes. I could not believe how bad it was. He even cleaned the inside and the glass on our stove; it now looks like a new stove. We could not be happier with the service. Joseph is a true professional; honest, knowledgeable, polite, and friendly. He is a rarity in today's world. My favorable impression of Lucky Chimney began when I called for an appointment. Cherie was chipper and polite as I declined a couple dates for other appointments. She stayed with me and was SO polite throughout. I was so impressed I shared the contact info with my daughter right after I got off the phone. I got a reminder from Cherie my voicemail. Today, Joseph came to clean chimney 10 minutes before scheduled! He pulled the wood stove pipes apart and cleaned and vacuumed everything inside, then cleaned the outside ash/cinder receptacle. Highly recommend Lucky Chimney! Joe was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I thought our chimney needed cleaning but after an initial inspection by Joe, he said it was already very clean. There was still an inspection and trip charge but Joe gave me my money's worth by taking the time to educate me on the fireplace and chimney, as well as clean out the fireplace.
