Wow! It was certainly our lucky day when an acquaintance recommended Miss Jessi at Voice in the Valley as a piano teacher for our 8 year old daughter. Jessi is a delightful lady - a very warm, kind, friendly and knowledge teacher. Our daughter loves going to lessons and we have been impressed with her progress since starting last September. Jessi uses age appropriate teaching techniques, and makes learning fun. Our daughter is on the shy and reluctant side when it comes to performing, but she is coming out of that phase now and I think piano lessons are helping. The lessons last 30 minutes, are reasonably priced and take place in a peaceful environment, on a lovely piano. Parents are welcome to sit and listen or leave to run an errand or two. Jessi is AMAZING! We feel so blessed to have found such a wonderful voice coach/instructor and for a spot to have opened up. Our 11 year old daughter has only been taking lessons from Jessi for about a month and already we see huge growth, a continued love for singing, and such a greater understanding of the mechanics that go along with using your voice properly. Jessi is compassionate, incredibly talented, and able to relate with students of all ability levels. Having just finished our first recital with her studio...she is coaching future Broadway stars no doubt!! My son has voice lessons with Jessi and he loves them. She is a kind and instructional teacher and clearly passionate about what she does. Her lessons are time well spent and she is very good about accommodating the goals of the student into her lesson plans. Jessi goes beyond the usual by making suggestions for costumes, props, and choreography and she manages to be very positive while still making sure progress is occurring. She is also good at communicating with her students' parents and keeping us all organized. Jessi also puts on summer workshops that were great fun for my son where she managed to put together a musical show with 10-15 performances in four "half-day" sessions. read more

Jessi has helped our daughter Summer grown from an 11 year old girl that liked to sing into a blossoming performer, with solid vocal chops, and an ability to accompany herself on piano. Jessi, and all the teachers at Voice In The Valley, are for sure the most accomplished music professionals and teachers anywhere near Maple Valley. My daughter takes voice lessons with Jessi. And every week I am awed at the high, high level at which Jessi teaches. Her communication skills are excellent, and feedback to kids is always positive. I took voice lessons here for around 7 years. Such a phenomenal place and it really helped grow me as an artist. Such great opportunities to sing in front of others and I wouldn't recommend any other place in the Maple Valley area! Miss Jessi is an amazing piano teacher and just a really nice person. We are so grateful to have her in our lives. She is kind and patient, and has such great techniques for helping children learn the piano. After attending a few recitals, it is obvious that she also does a fantastic job as a voice instructor.
