We have a wall air conditioner that we are interested in replacing. The current one we have is a Friedrich brand, which we know are sold at Voitek's. We also wanted to shop local. My boyfriend stopped in and approached a salesman. He offered little help (younger, tall guy). Pointed him in the direction of air conditioners and that was it. My boyfriend went to him with questions bc he knew exactly what we were looking for and wanted to see if it was available from Voitek's. The guy stared at his computer and said he would need to have the installer come to our home to give us an estimate. He left his phone number were told we'd get a call the following day. It has been over a week now and we haven't received a call. We figured that would happen due to the awkward interaction. As soon as my boyfriend left Voitek's he drove to Rebannack's in Kingston. The sales guy there was super friendly, but unfortunately they do not sell air conditioners. He was so nice that we'd definitely buy appliances from them as opposed to this store closer to our home. Customer service is everything. We have the $, but won't go back to this store. They obviously don't want our business. The owner responded after seeing this review. Yes, the salesperson did call us after this was posted, but we won't fight for someone to call us. They should have called us regardless. We shopped the discount centers and big box stores finding very few people with any product familiarity, then met Logan at Voitek in Exeter. He knew of product features and was accompanied by an iPad that readily answered questions of availability. Stay away from this place. Dishonest salespeople and practices. They pretend to be your cute local small business appliance store while ripping you off, and lying to make a sale. The prices you end up paying are absolutely outrageous and way higher than anywhere else, don't be fooled by what they tell you on the way in. They will find a way to pad the bill. If you check out their public docket sheet history on the PA courts website, you will see they sue their customers and (and frequently get countersued) REPEATEDLY...not a place you want to do business with!! read more

My husband and I purchased a Maytag range from Voitek Kingston location in December and within three weeks the oven stopped working. We contacted the store and we're told we had to go through Maytag warranty service. We were not offered any assistance with contacting Maytag or setting up the appliance repair. We are now on our third appointment to have the appliance fixed. Meaning taking time off from work three different times and numerous time on calls to Maytag. I called voitek several times to let them know our experience and the issue we were having and I was told by a manager that I was just looking for a "quick fix". This business does not stand behind the products that they sell and the customer service amounted to no more than giving us the phone number for Maytag. Communication wasn't great and it took amost a whole business day to get a call back. Speaking to another associate other than the one that you're "working" with yields virtually zero results. Purchased a TV to have mounted at a family members newer home for a gift. No one called notifying they're on their way even though I gave instruction to do so. Pricing of the TV, wall mount, and installation are ambiguous and need to be negotiated. If I offered to provide my own wall mount, prices of the installation went up. TV and wall mount were priced $100 over retail each. Price of the install were 'ballparked' and way over what I expected. Overall, work was good and professional but I feel like I got screwed. You will easily find a better price here than at franchise retailers, and for most major appliances, that price will include delivery, standard installation, and removal of the old appliance. I was in need of a new washing machine and began researching brands, cost, etc. I visited two of the big box stores along with researching brands online before visiting the Voitek location in Kingston. As soon as we walked in we were warmly greeted. After a brief conversation of what we were looking for and our needs a recommendation was made. The gentleman explained the benefits of that particular washing machine and answered several of our other questions. At no point in time did we feel pressured and after a few minutes he excused himself to allow us to browse and discuss on our own. After several clarifying questions we made a decision to purchase the washing machine that he recommended. This washing machine was only a few dollars less than what we could have purchased it for at one of the big box stores but the reason that we chose to purchase it at Voitek was because of the service and it was a local company. If something goes wrong with the washing machine we can call them directly and they will dispatch a service tech to resolve the issue. The warranty that we purchased was a few bucks more than what the box store was charging but once again its easier and more efficient to deal with a local company than a box store where you are just another number in the filing cabinet. Overall our experience was wonderful and I can't recommend them enough. The staff is knowledgeable, pleasant, and by patronizing them you are supporting a local company. read more

From beginning to end which, we are still dealing with problems almost 9 months later, it has been an absolute mess to work with this company. I ordered all appliances for my kitchen. I waited 7 months for a refrigerator that I finally canceled and when I canceled I was told " Oh they don't make that one anymore" my dishwasher was damaged in shipping again I understand things happen but it took countless phone calls over the span of months to even get them to call the repair company. I was incorrectly refunded granted it was in my favor well over 1k$ now I just got a bill saying that balance is past due , and this is all over that refrigerator that I didn't even buy from them.. Wanted to patronize a local establishment versus the bigger stores. The staff at both stores are pleasant and incredibly helpful. We bought a TV and surround sound system from them. They were able to beat the "sale" price at a larger store and came to our home for installation. Incredibly happy with the service and our purchase.
