They suggested I talk to HP and see what they could do for my laptop because they did not want to see me have other problem than a cracked screen. Unfortunately, my nearest Apple store was unhelpful in this and only wanted to sell me what I didn't need presently. I made an appointment at another Apple store location two hours from me. It's good I double checked at the last minute because this store location also neglected to schedule me on their appointment list even with verbal confirmation. The Geek Squad here, however, was able to take me at short notice today and was courteous, professional and prompt. There was also no upselling either. Tower Micro has been a Bloomsburg institution since I was in high school back in the mid 90's when I got my first 486 desktop from them. They used to be down in the Agway plaza next to the Town Park and had a different name which has since slipped my mind. They have since moved to Rt 11 next to the super cool 1800's "western city" that it sits next to which needs to be seen to be understood (I believe it's an old Hollywood set). Parking is always ample and easy, the biggest complaint might be having to turn left back out onto Rt 11 without a stop light, but I'm not complaining.....merely stating. The service from the crews on the floor every single time I have entered the store has been courteous, thorough and educational. I have walked in on numerous occasions, been asked what I needed and was out the door in under 5 minutes because my needs were met and the transaction was done quickly. The general floor showing off products could be better organized and have more machines up and running to show off the products. I loved this when I was younger as I would always go in and see how fast solitaire would fly on the new generations of Pentium processors and how fast the Microsoft toasters would fly across the screen.....but the past few times I've been in the store, I haven't exactly been able to play with products.

I took it to the Ithaca store where I was initially told it would have to be sent to Samsung for repair and there would be a $49 charge. I paid the charge and the tablet was returned 2 weeks later. After another 2 weeks it malfunctioned again. I returned to the store and was told I would have to pay another $49 to have it sent out for repair again. After a brief discussion I was referred to a manager who approved waiving the second $49 charge. 2 weeks later I received a message that the unit could not be repaired and it would be replaced. I went to the store to obtain the replacement but due to their system being down I was told to return in a few days. A few days later they still could not give me a replacement but I was told that I would obtain credit for the faulty unit and I could purchase a replacement and as soon as their system allowed the credit they would call me. After several days and not receiving a call, I went to the store again. they told me the person(s) I needed to see were not there but they would call me. No call so I returned to the store again. Same result...right person(s) not there but they would call me. Still no call so yesterday I went online trying to call the store. Was told they could not connect me to the store but promised I would receive a call back by 5 PM EDT yesterday. Still no call.
