Once they complete an assignment, they get paid in KidZania money (bills or credit on a fake credit card). Then they can spend their money at the salon where they can get their hair done or nails painted or at the chocolate or candy factories. Your ticket gets you a credit card with KidZania credit on it to spend and access to the "city" for the entire day. My five-year-old daughter went while in Guadalajara for three weeks. Here's our experience: 1) Price: Out of all the kid activities we did in the city, it was the most expensive. It was around $27 USD for my daughter and I to get tickets. Once inside, you pay extra for things like getting a KidZania passport (it cost around $10 USD) to be stamped throughout the city and for food and snacks. 2) Space: It's pretty big with dozens and dozens of storefronts from a diner to a grocery store to a theater to a gym. For the places where you earn money, it's helpful to know Spanish. Currently learning, it was hard for us to follow along at places like the firefighter area or gym. However, some places we could follow along like at the fashion show or chocolate factor or recycling center. 3) Food: They have several restaurants with kid-sized tables and chairs. There's a Domino's Pizza and a sushi spot that my daughter and I enjoyed. They make sushi with kid ingredients like plantains v. fish. If you want a fun day with small kids and know Spanish, definitely go to KidZania. Just go right when they open to beat the crowds. There was a crowd on a Thursday around noon, making all the popular shops have long lines.

This was a nice place to take my family…read more The playgrounds are great-- clean and well maintained. We found two plus there's an additional slide transitioning from upstairs to downstairs. Farm animals are cute and for 3 years and up you can pay I think 150 pesos for a feeding experience. If I could go back I would skip feeding the flamingos as the attendant wasn't very friendly, the flamingos eat aggressively and it becomes a big splash zone. The fish are in good shape and lively. There's tons of animals to see. There were food options for my allergy child and a few places to get food and additional drink and snack station toward the playground and farm animals. The not so good: it's pricy for entry at least I think for the area. There should be places to wash hands or a hand sanitizer station nearby places like the fish touching, and farm animals. You have to go inside to one of the bathrooms to clean your hands after touching animals and I think it discourages a lot of people from actively washing their hands.

Outside are farm animals like chickens, bunnies, and goats. They also have a large bird area where you can feed the birds. The favorite exhibits were the finger-sucking fish (it doesn't hurt, just tickles), the bird area, and the outdoor animals, especially feeding the goats. One interesting thing different than other countries is that brands have ads throughout the space. For example, after the sting ray exhibit, you walk through an interactive Coca-Cola ad. Also, many of the close encounter exhibits cost extra money, usually $30 pesos. 2) Food: In the outside area is a food court with pizza, burgers, hot dogs, and other snack items. 3) Amenities: My daughter loved the sand box outside and the machines that dispense food to feed the goldfish, etc. It costs $5 pesos for food, but usually you can find scraps on the ground to use to save money.

This is a short summary of the tour: Got picked up around 10am on a clean vehicle, arrived at the location surprised by the size of the place. They explain in detail the history of the charrería We learned a few tricks with the ropes and got to ride some of the horses. We watch the show of charrería and hanged out with the locals have a few tequilas. Tour ended around 2pm and got dropped off back to our area. Over all a great experience!!

Get the hour pass as it's more than enough time. Here's my experience after going with my five-year-old daughter in July: 1) Space: It's a small space, but they make good use of it. You walk through a tunnel of changing lights into one large room with a little playground with three slides, a cafe area, a ball pit space, a craft room, and other activities. Some of the exhibits were worn-down and some were closed for a private party. After 45 minutes, my daughter had thoroughly explored every space. Here favorites: -The craft room where she made art using paint and marbles. -The rope tunnel. -The firefighter area. 2) Service: It's friendly and helpful. However, when we first went at 11 a.m., a worker told us to come back at 2 p.m. when it's open to the public. We did and was told it was closed for a private party. Third time was the charm!

Cell phone reception does not work there so got a little nervous. There is a lot of seating and tables and about 6 pools one with a natural waterfall. They do let you bring outside food. This is a good zoo. It's not the most modern, technological or exciting-- but it is cool…read more These animals were some of the most lively I have ever seen at any zoo. The lion roared loudly and paced around with a full, dark mane of hair. Really the animals look healthy unlike the almost sedated state I had grown used to seeing. The tigers and lions had me convinced that they could easily escape their enclosures with a good jump. The primates were also active with one orangutan digging into the ground and unearthing a large rock to throw. The birds were plentiful and interactive to feed the nectar or seeds and for a low price too. The train was nice, though, I do wish it ran the full route around the zoo. The zoo food was alright. And the gift shops were more child focused and cutesy. Overall a nice experience for the family. If my toddler were a bit older I'd have taken her on the ski lift to see the zoo from an aerial view.

There were babies out including baby giraffes and orangutans. The spider monkeys at under 2 pounds were adorable! And well the gorillas!!! A full day of fun and interesting things to see and do. Well worth a day trip!!
