    Fig Balsamic Vinegar

Literally the coolest little shop.... one side is whiskey/scotch the other olive oils/vinegars. We bought a scotch blend that you can only find in Charleston and a couple specialty oil/vinegar combinations. I believe the woman that helped us was the co-owner of the shop. She was beyond helpful and we made it home with some wonderful items to share with family and friends from Charleston.

I have never noticed this store. We stumbled upon it while strolling down King. It's a very interesting concept--olive oils and seasonings on one side and liquor on the other. They offer a large selection and different sizes. Within a minute of walking in, an employee was greeting us and informing us about the products. Some of the liquors are exclusive to Vom Fass. I was taking pictures (for Yelp of course) when a salesman approached me (I think his name was Dennis) and asked what kind of wine I liked. I had no intention of getting anything but somehow I ended up walking out with a bottle of wine. Great sales techniques...I didn't feel pressured to purchase anything. I asked him a bunch of questions. He was very knowledgeable and patient. Opened the bottle last night and it was great! This is a great spot to grab a gift for someone who appreciates specialty products.

Vom Fass on King Street in Charleston is a unique store and shopping experience that is cool to see and be a part of. I like all of the options that they have available to taste and sample and have been happy with all of the purchases that I have made here. This is a fun place to visit and shop at and is well worth a visit.

Pretty cool place. Flavored olive oils and vinegars on one side, distilled spirits on the other. Friendly and helpful staff/owners? They will suggest oil and vinegar pairings and provide tasters from very large selection. For example orange oil together with date balsamic. Fantastic. Not only nice to try different combinations on salads, but also as cooking ingredients (or maybe with an avocado). Sesame and plum combination great for asian dishes. Also have lots of other spices, herbs, sauces, marinades etc. Some locally produced. It is, however, a bit pricey. Save a little by refilling empty bottles. Smallest size 100 ml, so good way to try lots of different flavors.

This is one of the stores that we stopped in! The Olive Shoppe is a store that sells all different kinds of Olives, and Olive oils and their infusions, like with balsamic, and it is fresher too. My Mom and I actually have been in a few shops like this on various trips in Lancaster PA, and NJ. So we are familiar with this type of place. The Olive Shoppe also has locations in Market Commons here, as well as another location in SC. Walked in and employee was friendly and greeted us. We then looked around at the olives and brought some kind of stuffed olive. We then looked at all the various types of Olive Oils which they had many different items and infused flavors. One can cook with them, One can use it as some kind of marinade, and lots of other things. One can also try the Olive Oil to see if you like it, and can buy it. We both tried the Avacado Olive Oil, and enjoyed it! So we got that. Plus avacado is supposed to be good for a person. We brought Avacado Olive oil, some stuffed olives, and something else, plus we got a olive oil holder that helps the container stay fresh. Purchasing that we got a discount on our items. We paid via credit card. We look forward to using our new olive oil! We will be back soon if we want more items!
