Voodoo donuts is well known for their friendly, welcoming and hardworking staff and pillowy soft yeast donuts, crispy-cakey, light and airy cake donuts and a great selection of decadent flavors choices. We had a tough time narrowing down which donuts we were going to get but honestly really liked all of them. And as basic as this sounds, I loved the plain cake donut...it had a perfectly fried crispy exterior and a dense but airy interior that was exactly my kind of donut. The yeast donuts were springy and light and so fresh, really great. Happy that we took a little detour to stop by while in Denver!

Very fun, delicious, variety of flavor doughnuts! Very limited street parking and no dining table. Come in and pick up from a wide variety of delicious doughnuts. Beautiful new Orleans voodoo vibe with beautiful classic chandelier and hip arts. Service is good. Very delicious doughnuts.

Pretty solid donuts, if they changed their oil they fry the donuts in more often, I see a clear path to five stars. Service is good, like the pink festive packaging.

I will always love Voodoo! The best part is as a vegan I have a good amount of menu items that are completely vegan! The vegan diet count is my absolute favorite and it is completely mouth watering. This voodoo location does not have great parking but is such a vibe when you get inside.

A little disappointed with this Voodoo. I've been to several (mostly in Portland) this one the doughnuts just were not as good. The go tart had virtually no filling (I've had this many times at other places) and the Sagark bite was weirdly lopsided on filling. The service was fine, and the overall ambiance if the story was somewhat typical Voodo but it felt a little cramped in comparison to others. I was with people and this was there first Voodo experience and it wasn't the greatest. However we went to the other Denver location later in my visit and was able to redeem them.

The donuts are OUTSTANDING!!!! They have all types of unique donuts!! The customer services is always on point!!! Parking is a bit rough but worth it!

I love the vibe, I love the donuts, but they lost a star for not having the only donut that really matters... the holy grail of donuts... the apple fritter. I did get a super cute little voodoo guy and he was delish AF but no apple fritter to grab makes it impossible to grab five stars. If I'm ever in the area again (or if they open a location in my city) I'd love to try them again but they better have the fritter this time :)

Many tasty options. Not many locations. Worth a try. The Oreo one was my fave. Also tried the hibiscus

Voodoo was very cute and they had a huge variety of donuts, however they look like they taste a lot better than they do. They're average donuts - soft and tasty but nothing that made me say "mmmmmm, this is so good". Ya know what I mean? If you're a donut lover like I am you've had that experience before and Voodoo just didn't hit like that. Is it worth visiting? CERTAINLY! Again, the variety alone is reason enough to check them out. We ordered the chocolate ring, Memphis mafia, oh captain my captain, cannolo and the viscous hibiscus and they were ll pretty good. Coffee was fresh and hot. Lively atmosphere inside and staff were nice and helpful if you're unsure bout what to order.

During a recent trip to Denver, we found ourselves at Voodoo Doughnut 3 times during our 5 day stay. Sadly, I wish we'd made it 5 out of 5! Fresh, creative, delicious doughnuts! Great hours, and friendly service!

A must place to go while on a bach party! It is definitely not your average donut shop. I think I saw an actual voodoo doll pinned up on the wall! If you don't know which donuts to choose, the employees are super helpful and gave us great suggestions on what to get!

    Anna H.

I heard so much about this Portland donut franchise and was very excited to try it. We got the maple, school daze, cinnamon honey glaze and mango tango. If you're into PB&J sandwiches HIGHLY recommend the School daze donut. I love how there's a large range of vegan donuts at voodoo too, much appreciated for a lactose intolerant person. This location is pretty small and there are no tables for sitting so keep that in mind when you stop by!

    Ashley D.

Portland creme donut was decent but the donuts all seemed overly sugary... even the glazed donut just tasted too sweet! They are nicely decorated and I get that they are a popular experience, it maybe it's not for me.

Ask the Community - Voodoo Doughnut

Do they have a drive thru?

    No they do not

    Yeast or cake donuts?

Both, as well as fritters, crullers, etc, with dozens of flavors and daily specials to boot. Something for everyone!

    Is it really cash only?

Used to be, but they recently got cc readers.

How much does a dozen cost?

My dozen was over $22. Too much, but bring cash... they don't take cards, but they have an ATM that with the fees added will bring your dozen to closer to $30.

Do they offer gluten free options?

    Oh hell no.

Do they have any gluten free donuts?

I went there and ask the staff. They do not. They have vegan but it has gluten in it.

What type of flour is the vegan donut made with?

It's the same flour as the regular doughnuts. What makes them vegan is they use applesauce or bananas in their recipes.

The employees are lovely and I like how all the options are displayed in front of you to make an easy choice. However, each item is incredibly pricey for what it is. Both times I have gone have been on days that Bakery Four has been closed. If both are open, my choice is, unfortunately, not here. A tiny croissant sandwich and 2 little donuts was $30. Everything is premade, so you can't make any substitutions or changes of any kind. Just not worth it for me, although I've heard from others that the donuts are good (I'm not a fan of donuts). Hopefully those make this place a little more redeemable! I will say that the interior is really well done. Visually, the place is great. You can also order through a little window to the left of the doors, which is convenient, particularly for those with dogs or strollers.

I had my sights set on a voodoo doughnut! The building was absolutely gorgeous! It had chandeliers and was very pink! I'm not sure if that's how it has always been, but with a name like voodoo, I was picturing something more dark and mysterious! This gave off cumbl cookie vibes... don't get me wrong, it was clean and pretty, just not what I was expecting. The service was subpar at best. There was no one in here, so when we walked in, it seemed like an inconvenience to serve us. Known for their irreverent style and neon-pink boxes, the Denver Airport location manages to keep the "Keep Weird" spirit alive. The Flavor Lineup: We dived into a curated selection of their signature yeast and cake doughnuts. Here is the breakdown: * The Voodoo Doll: The iconic signature. Beyond the playful aesthetics, the chocolate frosting is rich, and the raspberry jelly filling provides a sharp, tart contrast that cuts through the sweetness perfectly. * Banana Cream Pie: This was a standout. The filling is smooth without being overly synthetic, mimicking the comfort of a classic diner pie. It's a heavy hitter, so come hungry. * Mango Cream: A refreshing tropical twist. The mango flavor is bright and punchy--a nice departure from the more traditional chocolate-heavy options. * Strawberry Pop-Tart: This is pure nostalgia. The crunch of the crumbled pastry on top adds a fantastic textural element to the soft, pillowy dough. The Experience: The staff handles the high-volume airport rush with impressive speed, and the doughnuts tasted remarkably fresh--not "reheated" or stale, which can be a risk in transit hubs. While the line can look intimidating, it moves quickly, and the pink box is basically the ultimate status symbol at the gate.

The side salad was a standout -- spinach, small orange slices, and a berry vinaigrette. Super fresh, light, and refreshing. My husband got the biscuits and gravy and said it had great flavor with a nice kick of spice. Vegetarian options were clearly labeled, with a note to ask about vegan swaps. The service, unfortunately, didn't match the food. We waited at the door for at least 10 minutes without being acknowledged. After we were seated, our server started taking our order but stopped midway to run someone else's food. We also never got water refills, and with just one napkin each for donuts and a full meal, I found myself folding and refolding mine a million different ways. Overall, service felt slow and a bit disjointed, like we weren't a priority. If the service improved, this would easily be a go-to brunch spot.
