The service is good. The staff is always kind and ready to help when you walk in. The quality of the donuts has declined quite a bit over time. I ate a few bites of my donut and didn't feel the need to finish it. My daughter lamented that the bear claw is now the size of a baby bear paw. read more

Hi everyone...I went by there this AM and the food and coffee was not very good. I ordered a kolache, a dozen donut holes and coffee. The kolache was not warm/hot all the way thru, donut holes were somewhat stale and very mediocre and the coffee had a metallic taste to it. I have been here one other time and the food was good but this time around it was a major disappointment. Not sure if I will make it over there again anytime soon.. First things first ambiance of this shop is little small mom and pop donut shop which means first come first serve for donuts if you are to late you miss out on donuts you might want. It is a little on the pricey side, but when I say the donuts are huge take a look for your self, they are worth every penny in my opinion. Service is always quick which I love in the mornings. I love bear claws with a passion this shop has the normal apple bear claws but they also have pineapple which isn't for me, but the cherry and blueberry are my go to's every time love them Makes my mouth water thinking about them. New management is not neighborly or very good at running small businesses. The staff smell strongly of cologne. Both coffee and donuts had a lingering taste of perfume. They were also poorly made. This place used to share parking with the GB Fish and Chips for years. Now they use it to run a towing racket with their friends. This place used to be amazing. Fall from grace. This used to be my favorite doughnut shop in Denver! Admittedly, I haven't been going as often as I have in the last, but I stopped in to grab a couple treats. The fence is definitely off-putting. Trying to ignore it, I walked in and it was surprisingly empty. No line at all. But more importantly, no one working at the counter! Waited a while because I could hear someone in the back. Then eventually I had to call out into the abyss a few times before the sole employee came up and looked at me. No greeting or question of what I wanted, fine whatever, I ordered and paid. However, the glaring issue was the fact he didn't change his gloves from working in the back, to grabbing my food, to working the register, to wiping down the tables. Gross. I genuinely don't understand how this place has 4 stars. The donuts looked good when I walked in this morning, so I ordered before fully noticing the condition of the kitchen and overall cleanliness of the shop. Once I started looking around while waiting, I honestly regretted ordering. The floors looked like they hadn't been mopped in weeks. The kitchen area was even worse -- the trash can was covered in caked-on grime, the proofing racks were crusted with old dough and dust, and the appliances looked like they hadn't been properly cleaned in a long time. If a health inspector walked in, I'd be surprised if this place scored above a D. I remembered the donuts being decent the one other time I came here. Unfortunately, the apple fritter was the only one worth eating half of. Everything else tasted fresh but somehow still completely flavorless. The coffee tasted like low-grade gas station coffee. I really don't enjoy writing bad reviews, but this experience was genuinely disappointing. Between the lack of flavor and the concerning cleanliness issues, I won't be coming back and wouldn't recommend it to others. The cleanliness alone left me feeling grossed out. read more

If you want something savory get the kolache. It's much better than the croissant, egg and sausage sandwich. Though the pastry was quite good, it wasn't able to save the dry and oddly seasoned sausage patties or the dry egg with crumbling yolk. The donuts are solid, but not worth going out of your way for. Finally, they appear to have had some sort of dispute with the shop next door so they have put up fences and it gives the place a prison yard vibe. Baked N' Denver is a great little spot on a corner of S. Broadway in Denver. There is a tiny parking lot and street parking near here. They have big windows to see inside. I walked in and was immediately greeted with the lovely aromatic breeze of donuts that was dancing in the air. There was a guy attending to the donuts on the racks and he acknowledged me and went to wash his hands. The donuts were all nicely displayed and labeled in a glass case and they had a menu board up on the wall. They had a bottled drink case , beverages like sodas, milk, water, juice and teas. I chose a devils food cake, donut and a chocolate glaze with sprinkles. It was actually pretty cheap. It wasn't expensive at all. They did not taste greasy, or as if the oil was old or anything like that. It was a perfect amount of sweetness and the donuts were nice and moist. I wanted to try more but I really can only eat so many donuts. I'll say this , if I was in the area, I would probably duck in to grab a few more. They were pretty tasty and I'll be back. read more

Baked N' Denver is a great addition to the Platt Park neighborhood. They honestly serve up some of the best donuts I've had in the area. While their breakfast sandwiches leave much to be desired, they are totally fine for a quick morning bite before heading to the mountains or a round of golf. I was impressed to see employees hand dipping certain donuts before handing them to customers and the Staff are always nice and welcoming. I can't wait to go back and try more donuts!! read more

First off this business and management is not the issue, I have recently learned the LANDLORD cares too much about things that probably don't affect his income, which is GROSS. The business's hours are completely wrong, which is hard for people from out of town to come to this business, on top of not having a website is a bummer. Saw a previous review from another fellow Texan saying the kolaches were the real deal so we decided to check this spot out. We were sadly disappointed with the kolchaes. They were very dry and the staff told us they make them the night before then reheat them? No wonder they were dry. The price per each kolache was 4.50!? I was mind blown at the price point. I'm not a donut person in general but that didn't stop me from going to this store when I was in the neighborhood early hours of May 7, 2022. I'd seen it before at least several times while I was driving on Broadway in the past. I could have stopped there and checked it out. What motivated me today to investigate this place is still unknown but hey, I finally did it is all it matters, right?? And my first experience today? I was pleased with at least 4 star review. And here is why: 1. Simple interior layout is good enough for a donut shop although I saw a few things that are worth a mention: pink donut clock right above the restroom door (uploaded a picture of it.) And a display of donut after donut is not too over the top. Good selection to choose from; not too many but not too little either. 2. They make craft coffee beverages. It's true; the exterior sign does give you an impression that you can get quality coffee. Maybe that triggers me to go there finally. 4. Service wasn't necessarily top-notch but it was decent enough. And my order came out so fast. I don't know if I even waited a minute. As soon as I got home, I bit into my beautiful churros French Cruller. It was light and slightly sweet. I certainly appreciated the right amount of sweetness. My double shot espresso tasted good as well. Now I know where to go to get quality donuts. However, the service has declined (the employees don't interact with customers as much), prices have significantly increased (the last time I was in, I paid nearly $40 for two small breakfast sandwiches and a chai latte), and the quality of food isn't worth consuming (microwaveable meat, stale bread, etc.). They did have cherry and blueberry fritters to go along with a standard apple fritter. Sooo....I went out this morning and drove to this place on Broadway. The service and the inside of the restaurant is very nice. They have a lot of different pastries etc...However I was there for the breakfast burrito. Unfortunately it turned out to be a bit of a disappointment. The tortilla to filling ratio was completely off and the chorizo was not the best quality. All in all it was actually pretty dry and there was no green chili at all inside of it. I was so hoping this would be the place I would go often but this visit was not at all was I expected. :( I also believe that the burrito was heated in a microwave and not freshly made....that always gets me - it goes so fast and makes it so much better when made fresh....why save a few seconds with a microwave... The total cost was a bit over $10 with tip....way to pricey for what I got. Some places have a burrito for under $5...and they are so good compared to this. read more

I went in Sunday morning at 8.30 and it wasn't a long line. I took a raspberry filled donut and a Boston cream. They both tasted good, more cake-like and not oily at all. My husband and I each got a sandwich and a donut and it was $25 after tip (no drinks). My "bacon" was this weird pork meat, where it used to be fresh, crispy bacon. Egg was preformed and overcooked.
