I've long suspected that Georgetown Professionals has overcharged for their services so they don't need to work on Friday's. It is so nice to go to a place that has the skills and integrity to do the right thing for their patient rather than just enrich their business. For example, Georgetown professionals wanted to charge me over $300 for a bite guard so I wouldn't grind my teeth. That's expensive. I said I'd think about it. When I went to Overloop, he told me that my grinding was moderate and didn't call for a bite guard unless I was having adverse symptoms. He also said it would cost $150. That's over $150 less than what Georgetown Professionals quoted me! This is how businesses should work. They stand behind their product, properly educate, are friendly and do the best they can to get you in when there is a dental emergency. Many problems with my children have happened on a Friday, it's so nice knowing they are open. Couldn't be happier with our switch. This is a great business run by great people. We especially enjoy Overloop as our dentist.

I actually followed her to this office. She is very thorough with cleanings and knowledgeable. I love Dr Katie and Dr Logan. Both are professional and great at putting you at ease, because let's be honest, most of us don't look forward to our dental appointments. They are also very honest about treatment options and costs. Not knowing what to expect I went in with total confidence that Dr Gaston would make the procedure uneventful. I was a little concerned on my pre-procedure visit when he wrote me a prescription for Valium to take prior to the visit. I didnt take them and the visit was completely uneventful. I didnt even have to keep my mouth open on my own, he had placed a rubber like block in my opposite side that did it for me. When he was done, he have me a prescription for pain medication. Once again like the Valium, I thought to myself, WHY is this necessary? Once again, the pain medication was not necessary. No pain, what so ever. Dr. Gaston D.D.S. is AMAZING.

I would not recommend Great Lakes Dental based on my experience as a new patient…read more Before scheduling appointments for my son and me, I specifically called to confirm that our insurance was accepted and that our routine cleanings would be covered. I was assured that they were. However, after our visits, we received a bill for more than $300 for services that we believed would be covered by insurance. When I contacted the billing department multiple times to resolve the issue, I was told that the office charges more than what my insurance allows for a cleaning. Had this been explained upfront, I could have made a more informed decision about receiving care there. I was also disappointed with how the billing situation was handled. Despite repeated attempts to discuss the matter, no meaningful resolution was offered. We even received a past-due notice before ever receiving a proper statement outlining the charges. The clinical experience itself was not particularly positive. The hygienist was chewing gum during the appointment and was not especially gentle. My son was given fluoride treatment without anyone discussing it with me beforehand or asking for permission. The office environment also felt dated and less welcoming than other dental practices we have visited locally. Overall, between the unexpected charges, lack of communication regarding costs, billing frustrations, and the quality of the patient experience, this was not a positive experience for our family.
