Getting a WoF is generally not a pleasant experience, but this place makes it not so bad. I tend to take my car near the end of the work day, rather than on a Saturday, so not sure how the weekend queues are, but during the week there's rarely a queue.
One receptionist in particular is real friendly and up for a laugh, so will chat to you while you wait nervously for the judgement on your poor, ageing car. Otherwise, quite a good selection of mags.
What i quite like about VTNZs is that they do things like top up your oil if needed and also offer a general 'does your car need desperately need to go to the mechanic for a service soon?' check (I think it costs an extra $20, and I also don't think that that's its official name...). For someone like me that a) doesn't know anything about cars and b) doesn't care in the slightest about cars and therefore usually doesn't regularly get them serviced, both these things are much appreciated. read more
