Absolutely fantastic experience. I went about 40 minutes out of my way to get to Vutt because they had about 4x the number of Maui Jim frames available than any other local authorized dealers, and I'm glad I did. I wasn't bombarded at the door by overeager sales folks, but instead was able to walk around for a bit before anyone approached me. Fortunately, the person who did was Layahnna. She was incredibly patient with me, encouraging me to take multiple frames out into the parking lot so I could see how the sunglasses compared while actually in the sun. All-in, she spent over an hour with me on a Friday afternoon before I made my decision, and I never felt rushed, not even a little bit. Dr. Paul Lucca was also there, and was helpful with some questions I had about how the different colored mirror finishes on the lenses affect what you see through the sunglasses. On top of all that, I changed my mind on the lens color I wanted after purchase (blue instead of green), and Layahnna ordered them custom from Maui Jim the following Tuesday, and she called me back that Friday morning (one week after initial purchase) to let me know that the new glasses were ready for pick up and exchange. Overall, an incredibly positive experience, and though I don't buy glasses often, I will go back to Vutt every time, whether it's for sunglasses or optical glasses, and will encourage anyone in need to do the same. read more

Never again will I set foot in a store that simply ignores you. I entered the store, with a recommendation from a very very good client of theirs. I went up to the countered and literally stood there for 10 minutes (I timed it) while watching the staff completely ignore my presence. One of the staff was busy with a customer, while the others were just doing whatever. I own my own business and if I treated people like this, I wouldn't have one. My husband has been going to VUTT for years and I gave it a try after my insurance changed. Although VUTT is a solid half hour drive for me it's worth every minute in the car. All staff are pleasant, knowledgeable and kind. They are comprehensive with your eye exam but also are quick and accurate. I've been noticing vision differences and found out my rx doubled. When I went to pick glasses they were helpful to pick frames that not only were tailored to my features but they were conscious of my budget and worked within my limits. I was able to get my lenses in my previous frames changed on the spot and also leave with a new pair of glasses with only a 20/30 minute wait. I had a wonderful experience with the team at VUTT yesterday. Just had cataract surgery and my prescription changed, so I needed some new glasses as quickly as possible. VUTT is one of the few places with a working optical lab in house and I was able to walk out with new glasses in less than an hour. I also ordered a pair of bifocals which will be here soon. The service here is second to none! I can never find the Oakley frames I like with the lenses that are best for me. (I spend a lot of time on water.) They helped me mix and match frames and lenses since they were the same price, which made me wonder why no one else has thought of that! They also had a huge selection of frames to choose from, including inexpensive frames (like $5 maybe?) that had polarized lenses. I've never seen that before. I got a pair for my daughter. I called Vutt after moving to the area. I have an unusual prescription, and I was concerned that an eye doctor would want to change my prescription which has happened before. I spoke to Randy on the phone who assured me that they would not change my prescription if it was working for me. Dr. Kelsey was very understanding of my concern. VUTT Optical is a great place to get prescription and regular eyewear. They have a big selection, excellent customer service, and they are just all-around great folks. I just ordered progressive prescription sunglasses (Maui Jim) with the works on Monday and picked them up two days later. This is the second time I have used VUTT's services for eyewear. Two years ago, when I came in with my scrip from my ophthalmologist VUTT said that the script did not look correct. VUTT and I questioned the script but the ophthalmologist insisted that it was correct. VUTT questioned it more and finally an error was discovered by the ophthalmologist. VUTT is one of my favorite sunglasses spots. Even though I dread going to the Burlington Center Mall (the mall has gone down hill over the past decade), I will take the trip up to VUTT to get my sunglasses. I like Oakley glasses, VUTT has the largest selection in the region as far as I have found. They have a HUGE selection of other designer glasses as well (Cavalli, Ralph, Revo, Spy, etc.). The sales associates are honest. If you ask them 'how do I look in these glasses', they will tell you if the glasses don't compliment you well. The last time I was there, I believe Randy was my salesperson..... I had narrowed down my selection to (2) pairs of glasses that I liked....... Instead of up bullshi*ing /up-selling me, he was honest & recommended the pair that happened to cost a lot less and they looked better on me. I'm a fan. My only suggestion: I know rent is probably cheaper at the BCM but please move the shop to Cherry Hill or Deptford Mall so we can avoid the Burlington Center Mall. read more

I then treated myself to my first sport Rx sunglasses from Vutt. In just under a year my Rx has changed again, this time enough in both eyes that I, begrudgingly have to replace all of my eye wear ($$$h\T). After going tjhrough all my info, and even asking for my SS#, I as told they do not accept United Health care Medicare advantage, which has paid for my exams for many years. So. I made a mistake. I broke my glasses and decided I was going to fix them temporarily with crazy glue. Needless to say. Do not use crazy glue to fix your glasses. So I went to Vutt and they were able to eyeball my prescription (since I didn't know it) and make me a emergency pair the same day. Also gave me a new eye exam and got me the correct prescription. From start to finish the staff was extremely nice, professional and extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I would recommend Vutt to everyone. They were great all around. read more

Yesterday, I went to Vutt Optical for the first time. Misty was the one who set up my appointment on the phone & she made me feel like a valuable customer & I hadn't even had my first appt yet!! What a wonderful experience! I think I interacted with the entire staff while I was there. Everyone works together as a cohesive team. From the moment I walked in the door & was greeted by Alicia & Randy, everything went beautifully. They have a very high table to sit at to fill out paperwork. I am disabled & was having trouble getting on the chair because it was too high for me. Layahnna noticed, from the other side of the store mind you, that I was having trouble & provided me with another normal height spot to sit & fill out the forms. Megan checked me in & looked up my insurance info for the exam. They have a brand new state-of-the-art machine that tests your eyes for glaucoma, macular degeneration and a myriad of other things. With this machine, you don't have to have your eyes dilated with drops!! They are in the process of getting an elevator, but for now, there is a set of stairs you need to go up, to get to that machine. They carried my rollator up the stairs for me, while I climbed up using the handrail. Misty walked behind me ready to help if I lost my footing. (You have to love that someone cares enough to make sure they are there for you if you fall). Michael was very patient when explaining how I needed to be positioned in front of the machine for each of the (eye) pictures he needed to take. Once we were back downstairs, he also helped me find just the right frames for me. This is my first time seeing Dr. Sarver. She listened to my full "eye" history, (eye surgeries, acid in my eye, patches, etc). She is thorough & I was very pleased with how much time she took to explain everything & she answered all my questions. After that, Michele sat with me going through all the options available, ie, scratch resistance, glare resistance, smudge resistance, etc. I have 3 insurance plans that cover vision needs. One of which I didn't have info for with me. Michele called the company & got all of the info. Then, Paul put everything together. Exam charges from one plan, frames from another insurance plan, lenses from the 3rd insurance plan - all to get me the best pricing for everything I needed. He is one very patient person. He even showed me a way to save even more money for my vision needs next year! I highly recommend Vutt Optical. They treat you like a friend. read more

I looked up Costa dealers and first went to Dicks Sporting Goods. The selection was about 5 pairs of glasses and none were for me. Vutt was easy to find and is right in the front of the mall. They probably had over 150 pairs of Costas. Paul and the associate allowed me to take my time check out every brand in the whole store and didn't pressure at all. I couldn't be happier with my new glasses. they are soon moving to a new location on route 130 and can even cut new lenses for you if you have a old damaged pair. this place is the best in central nj! read more
