Cost was expensive and when my concerns regarding the poor quality of work were discussed the response was that my expectations were too high and that I had signed the agreement and knew what I was paying for. Yes, I did, but my expectation was that at 89 dollars for weeding there would not be weeds left behind. We had already paid (6000) for mulching and I thought the first weeding was included in that. I was wrong weeds were under the mulch.When I chose to challenge the final bill, the manager did reduce the bill but it was minimal and would not negotiate any further and said since we were at an impasse she would forward the issue to a lawyer. I called the owner of the business Mr. Lehigh, he called back at 8 pm and I was out with friends, called him back in the morning and he deferred my call to the manager that I had been dealing with, she was curt and not so pleasant. That in itself tells me that his customer concerns are not a priority.No one wants to bring a trivial law suit , they are costly and take time away for more important things, neither which i was interested in pursuing . I paid the final bill very begrudgingly and disappointed in their approach to customer service.Will continue to write poor reviews and contact the BBB.

Absolutely horrible experience! Please don't be taken advantage of!…read more I needed my driveway repaired, specifically hot tar to fix cracks with a top coat of sealant. I called to ask for a price quote. When the gentleman, Ken, arrived to provide a quote, he did not have his measuring tools and would have to return at a later date. Question: Why show up to give a quote when you are unable to do so? You just wasted my day waiting for you to arrive. Mistake #1 After almost one week had passed, I did not get a call with a price quote. I had to call Pleasant Valley Landscaping and Sealcoating to get the price quote. This is your job to provide me with this information. I shouldn't have to reach out to you after you already wasted a day of my time waiting for you. Mistake #2. The price quote was $650 for hot tar crack repair and a top coating. I had my driveway sealed the prior year for $300 from a different company (that company did not perform hot tar repairs otherwise I would have used them again). Considering Pleasant Valley Landscaping and Sealcoating was charging significantly more, which included more work (crack repairs), I wanted to make sure the $650 would definitely cover the repair of several large cracks in my driveway. I was told "yes". I was told the work would be performed the following week. This did not occur. I assumed Pleasant Valley Landscaping and Sealcoating was busy... I get that. But after 6 weeks of waiting, still no indication of when the work would be performed. I decided to give a call and actually received a call from Ken on the same day, indicating that a family emergency had occurred and was the cause of the delay. I get that... Life happens, I completely understand. One week goes by and Pleasant Valley Landscaping and Sealcoating show up literally as I'm about to leave for work. The gentleman performing the work informed me he would not be repairing the cracks... Top coat only. I asked why and he said the material would not work properly for the cracks that needed repairing. I told him I was informed at the time of the quote these repairs would be addressed. Since these repairs would not be corrected as agreed upon in the initial quote, the price should be reduced. He said the price remains the same: $650. I didn't have time to argue... I had to go to work and paid cash up front. Mistake # 3. I reached out to Ken, the gentleman who provided the initial price quote of $650 for crack repair AND top coating and expressed my dissatisfaction with the repairs not performed as agreed upon. He said he would review the original price quote and get back to me with the specific details of what the $650 job covered. Ken has never returned my multiple voice messages and text messages. My calls always go unanswered. I paid $650 because I thought I was getting the work agreed upon. Ken and Pleasant Valley Landscaping took advantage of me and have not made any effort to rectify the situation. I asked that either he comes and finishes the repairs that I paid for, or I get a partial refund for the amount he charged for the unfinished work. I have never received any response. I'm a sucker for paying Ken before the work was completed. Please do not make the same mistake I did and be taken advantage. Shame on you Ken for running a business in this manner and taking advantage hard working individuals, only to further throw insult by making claims about family emergencies. We all have unfortunate and unforeseen events come up in our lives, but this is still no way to treat people.
