(Exact same phone number and Ed is still in charge) My mom passed away shortly after she contracted with Ed, we recently did an audit of some of her building expenses. We found two bills, 9/21/05 and 9/23/05 BOTH paid in full. Two of the line items were exactly for the same repair/re[placement. A Gerber laundry room faucet ($465) and $390. Rather expensive for a $35/faucet. But charged and paid for TWICE. There is ONLY 1 laundry room in the building. I recently contacted Ed directly, sending him the copies of the posted paid invoices. Asking him about the duplicate charge and to refund the smaller of the two amounts. He refused. Granted it has been many years, but the audit was just conducted and the discrepancy found. Ed took advantage of a dying senior citizen and now refuses to correct his mistake. I'm using the term mistake, only because I find it difficult to think that his business would take advantage of a female senior citizen who died of cancer shortly after he performed these services.

First, let me say that I HATE writing negative things about anyone's business. Good reviews are…read morenot only about delivering a product, but equally important is the customer service that goes with it. On the day I originally spoke with Jim about replacing a water heater (8/7/2018), we were back and forth all day on the phone. The next day which was to be the installation day, we also texted/talked several times. He kept saying he was still coming into the evening and arrived around 11:00 p.m. He had agreed that at the end of the job, he would remove the old water heater from the premises. (And isn't that standard procedure for professional contractors to pick up after themselves anyway?) I was not on-site when they were done(12:30 a.m.) but he texted me a picture that he had completed the job. He had collected the money prior to the work. It was my disabled son's house and he did not go into the basement to check anything. He was so grateful about them coming out at such an inopportune time that he foolishly offered Jim a $100 tip which was accepted. When I went down in the basement the next day, I was shocked to see that the old heater AND the carton from the new one had not been removed. OF COURSE, my attempts to contact Jim by text/phone calls went unanswered for more than 24 hours. Long story short.... today is 22 days later and at least two time frames have been agreed upon only to find that Jim is a no-show/no-call. He has given personal health problems and logistics as reasons why it is so difficult for him to complete his part of the agreement. The $100 tip would have more than covered someone else removing this heavy object and large box from the basement. I am left wondering if ALL customers have this problem with him, or is it only the ones in certain towns, which I won't name? I even let him know yesterday that I would review his service with 2 stars, but I guess he could not care less....no response. Will ABSOLUTELY NOT use this company again.......I am one disgruntled senior citizen of color! Thank goodness, the heater works!!!
