I had such a great experience with All Rooter. Another plumber recommended that I get hydrojetting in the lines leading out of and into my catch basin. I called All Rooter, and they came out to take a look and quoted a fair price. They were able to schedule me for a couple days later. While doing the cleaning, they said that they noticed a break in the line to the main sewer and explained the Private Drain Program, saying that they were able to provide the service for calling the city inspector and getting a work order approved to repair it. They were polite, friendly, and very communicative throughout the entire process. They walked me through exactly what was needed and what would happen going forward. I messaged over the weekend and got a response promptly. The plumber called me first thing Monday morning and came later in the afternoon. Two guys showed up and first power rodded the drain about 15 feet but couldn't go further because was worried it would scratch our thin PVC pipes. Then he camera scoped about 8 feet but then still worried it would damage the PVC pipes. I was disappointed we couldn't go further but I suppose it is what it is. He did clean out a good amount of tree roots and said that was probably the biggest blockage and though we couldn't see the rest, it will probably be OK. He said our pipes looked in OK condition, no holes as far as he could see. He was very nice and answered all of our questions. They did wear booties into the house but like every other contractor, they also wear the booties outside and then back inside everytime they go inside and outside. It was wet outside so some mud was tracked in all the way by the two people. Like I said, this seems to happen with all contractors, just a little nuisance to clean up afterwards. But overall, pleased with the service. They had competitive rates, $485 for the power rod and $200 for the camera. Will call them next time (maybe in 5 years?) when we need another cleaning. It would be an understatement to say that Bert from All Rooter was a good plumber, he's a GREAT plumber. Never in my life did I have a more responsive, polite, detailed contractor. My condo had a major tub pipe leak that was leaking into the neighbor's wall and subfloor. The situation was complicated by the fact that the pipe was on top of a drain that went into a thick garage ceiling beneath the condo. All other plumbers were unresponsive or turned down the job. One plumber wanted to charge me thousands to repair it. Bert not only fixed it beautifully, but provided a free inspection, and his price was not thousands. We submitted a request on a Sunday night as we had standing dirty water in both sides of the sink as well as the garbage disposal leaking under the Sink. They responded immediately and scheduled a technician for that night. You could say it was the perfect storm... 1) I went out of town for a week, during which time my husband decided his butt was too good for the thinner toilet paper we usually use (because we live in a very old house with old pipes). 2) When I got back, my six-year old daughter decided to express her anger over me going on vacation by putting half a roll of this thicker toilet paper in the toilet and then taking a man-sized dump on top of it.
