After making the decision to give it a try, I clicked on the link to their website and made my appointment for a haircut and beard style - the website is very easy to navigate. Due to COVID-19, all customers must wait in their cars until their appointment time and must wear a mask prior to coming into the building. I showed up to my appointment with Lefthand Johnny, and he was not scared about me showing up many months removed from my last haircut. After a very easy and quick consultation, he started working his magic. The guy really knows what he is doing. The barbers there are flaky and constantly cancel at the last minute. Some show up late to your appointment and have excuses. Then once I was asked to pay ahead of time to book my appointment. The barber also messed up my hair and I had to get it recut. Definitely unprofessional and lack experience. In addition, I had to sit in a chair for almost two hours for a haircut. I will never be going back to this barber shop ever again. I do not recommend this place. read more

I take my son here to get his monthly haircut. I go to Shady but they're all good people and know what they're doing they are very friendly.

Not sure what went wrong, I requested a simple cut and wound up looking like I just got out of boot camp. The barber completely disregarded my instructions and cut way too much hair off. I sat down with a full head of head of hair and left with a tuft of hair on the front of my head... Never again. I'm not sure how this shop is rated so highly. Numerous shops in the area can provide the same sort of cut for a fraction of what this place charges. read more

I can't go out in public after a cut from Left Hand Johnny without being asked by at least 7-8 people who gave me the cut. This kids only like 19 and does better work than any other barber I've been to in NOVA. Ill will is running the best barbershop in the DMV right now. It's only him and some younger guys but the quality of all of their work speaks for itself. read more

Highly recommend it. I went in looking like a mop, having no idea what I wanted, and already having difficult fine and thin hair so it's difficult for anyone to cut and style. This was THE GREATEST haircut experience I've ever had. ILL WILL is the master when it comes to all men's hairstyles. With over 20 years of experience, he is an expert on all barber techniques. I had a huge family event and needed a fresh cut, as it's been 3 months since my last one. I found W through its excellent reviews on google and yelp and knew it was where I needed to go. Will made the entire experience so exciting and provided great conversation while cutting my hair. He knew exactly what I wanted. I didn't have to say a word to him and he cut and styled it exactly how I envisioned it in my head. I couldn't believe it when I saw the finished product at the end. I don't think I could find a better barber anywhere even if I tried! My only regret is that I live in New Jersey and can't have him cutting my hair every month. But I have no doubt that I will be making an appointment with him every time I'm in the area visiting my family. This place is incredible and all the staff are incredible.
