I showed them a fade image and they said it's low taper, i tried to argue it's a fade but ended up agreeing with them given they're the "expert" and when all said and done the haircut is not what I asked for in any way shape or form and I feel horrible. I don't normally care about haircuts because I don't mind waiting for the hair to grow back but this is for an interview and each time I keep asking them or showing them images for what I wanted they simply can't do it. I asked them at the very start, showing them the image if they can do it and they confidently said yes. I don't mind if they say they can't do it I really don't so next time please fully understand what the customer wants and maybe ask more questions or look at the picture more in depth. read more

All the staff is friendly and will do their best to ensure you have a phenomenal experience. All the barbers do a great job but my absolute favorite is Ms. Kelly! She always takes great care of me and has never done a bad job. They also offer hot towel clean after your cut that will leave you relaxed and feeling refreshed!! I was recommended by a fellow co worker. Mrs. Kim is my go to person and I can always expect the haircut I want. She remembers all of her clients and will always give a consistent haircut. They use the straight edge around my ears which was scary but came out looking good. I was in and out in 10 minutes. There's usually 4 stylists here. I'm a shy guy and will usually accept a bad haircut for a few weeks. But not here. My fade was uneven and the back of my head looked patchy because the first guy to cut my hair was cutting too close (I have a bumpy head). The second lady had unsteady hands and didn't notice his uneven fade. I had to go back and politely ask for a touch up the same day. Some things she did do right when I went back. But when they both switched, that was definitely a red flag (maybe he was new?) Came here for my brother's first haircut. They were very good with him, moving with him instead of fighting how much a kid is going to move, and being very patient. They took the time to see where it looked like his hair was naturally parting and cut it to suit. There is a small table with a selection of toys to keep kids busy, and their walls are lined with photos of kids' first haircuts. Unfortunately, recent renovations have changed the place from a family barber shop environment to a typical chain brand barber shop. If I wanted to go to a industrial barber shop, I could stop at one of the many that I drive past on my way from Maryland. Bring back the family ambiance. Bring back the pictures of children getting their first hair cut. Get rid of the industrial look - your faithful customers didn't ask for it and don't want prices raised to pay for it! With all of this said, the barbers are fantastic. They provide a personal touch, talk with the customers and have great personalities. Kathy is the best! Just because there is a barber pole outside, don't be fooled into this being a legitimate traditional barber shop. I went in and found an assortment of barbers, who appeared at first glance to be very diverse- women, men, old and young. I got a woman named YOUNG. She did a mediocre job cutting my hair, only managing to cut my scalp TWICE with her electric trimmers. ( my wife just commented on the blood on the back of my head when I got home) I try to find places that use scissors without relying on electric trimmers for the entire cut (men's short hair), and in that regard- this is not your place. Other barbers seemed very nice and tentative, not one word was spoken to me from YOUNG except for how I wanted my hair cut. Earbuds in the whole time too, very disrespectful. Ok, if you are looking for a quick cut this place will cut your hair... but a hot lather neck shave at the end doesn't save this place in my opinion. read more

I've been here twice for a fairly normal haircut, nothing crazy but I expect that they cut my hair as I request. Both times they could not follow simple directions, the more you ask them to fix it the more they start getting frustrated with you and cut away (today was the 2nd time and just the last straw for me). Sorry, but unless you are getting an old man haircut (no offense to aged people) or a military cut my recommendation would be stay far, far away. I have been getting my haircut here for years. Scotty is my "go to" barber but if he is out or I am in a rush, I am and have had several of the others in the shop cut my hair. I've been going to Rose Hill Barber since about 1980 or so. The people there are very nice and the atmosphere is great. Rose Hill Barber has been a reliable institution in the area, and a visit to this place will certainly demonstrate why. These folks take care of my father and my son also. They have toys in the waiting area, lots of magazines for the adults, and the barber shop talk is great. I cannot say enough good things about this place.
