My first time visiting and overall we had a great time karaoke-ing. There were some hiccups though. 1) They were late opening up. They made up for it by giving us an extra 30 min. Great! 2) You have to use your cell phone connected to YouTube to select karaoke songs and there were no electrical outlets in the room. So we had to rotate cellphones based on who had the most battery life left. 3) The furniture has seen better days (leather couch peeling) and the corners of the room were not cleaned well. This was a horrible experience, I wish I could give ZERO stars. The employees were completely unprofessional. This woman came into the room to check IDs and I was trying to leave the establishment and she YELLED in my face "ARE YOU OVER 21?" I calmly responded "I'm leaving," naturally thinking she would understand I would not be drinking (as I would not be at the establishment). Again she yelled in my face (for a 2nd time) "ARE YOU OVER 21?" Again I calmly responded "I am leaving," and I walked out of the room. As I was waiting for my ride she proceeded to say to the waiter "She's the only one who was under 21." I am over 21 but that's regardless of the point; I spent a lot of money (for me) for my friend's birthday to be there (even though I had to leave early) and there was no need for her to scream in my face when I did nothing to provoke her. I go to karaoke all the time and have been to karaoke places all over the world and this karaoke place has been a huge surprise in that I never expected to have such a great karaoke place in STL no offense to STL. They have a large variety of the classics and if anyone here is comparing about the song selection, they don't know how to use the system. You can also search YouTube for songs to sing if you cannot find anything on the catalog. It was easy to get a reservation on a Saturday night. In NYC you need make reservations for a karaoke room months in advance. This is definitely one of the highlights of my visit to STL. If anyone here has a bone to pick, they are either incompetent or don't know better. Came for a local bachelorette party... we had a room rented for our group and were able to sing whatever we wanted, as loud as we wanted, without the judgment of "the public." We had a server that was designated to our room and we could order drinks with a button. Everything was pretty seamless and straightforward. There is really nothing I can say negative about this Venue, it's beautiful from the moment you walk in there's different room sizes and styles that'll accommodate smaller parties as well, the room we were in was the largest and I believe it could accommodate 20 people. The staff was very attentive, and explained how to load the music into the system and as well as servicing drinks that you want to order from the bar, you can push a button on the wall and the server will come to you so that you do not have to leave the room. There is no food available for purchase. However you are allowed to bring in good as long as the person that booked the room pays extra for that. I would definitely recommend this place whether you are into singing or not just the atmosphere will make you enjoy yourself. read more

I brought a gaggle of pre-teen girls here for a birthday party and they had an amazing time. The staff was really patient and kind, and all seemed very chill. They provided a lot of helpful info in the beginning, and mostly left us alone during the party (which I appreciated, but I can't speak to the level of service outside of this experience). I do wish they had a more up-to-date song list, but someone popped back in when they saw us having trouble and recommended using their YouTube search feature which got us everything a twelve-year-old could ask for. read more

I just attended a friend 's 50th birthday party tonight 11/26/22 and had so much fun. I had never heard of this place until now . So I was guessing it was just a hole in the wall , but it's actually not. They check your id and your bags at the door so that was cool for safety . Then they guide you to your vip room . I'm big on ambiance and it was beautiful. You make a reserved time and party until your time is up. You have to bring your own food in but buy your drinks there. The music selection could have been better which is my only complaint. It's not a wide selection of favorites or oldies but goodies . But we made it work. The location is good and we parked around back on a FREE lot . (Yay ) the location was perfect. The facilities were clean and the waiter was available and willing at your beacon call . We went during the week (it was a Monday or Tuesday night), so we avoided the cover charge, which apparently applies for Friday & Saturday nights. Upon entering, you walk into the main room where you'll see a huge karaoke screen. This main area is pretty small; the bar takes up half of the room. The bar stools against the window were VERY close together...like zero inches apart. I can't imagine the lack of personal space in this area on a crowded weekend. (I'm convinced they do this on purpose to entice you to rent a private room. $$$$) Fortunately, the common room was practically empty when we went (but we still pulled the bar stools apart so we wouldn't be in each other's laps). I was most impressed with the sound quality of their sound system and the microphones. Some places have nice systems but cheap mics; even an amateur performer can tell. Luckily, that's not the case here. I was not as impressed with their song selection. They focused mostly on mainstream/popular American music and Korean artists. I couldn't find my go-to karaoke songs (which have been available at all other karaoke bars I've visited) like, Selena's "Bidi Bidi Bom Bom," or Puddle of Mudd's "Control." They did have Marc Anthony's "Vivir Mi Vida," but it was his video, so his voice was playing with mine, leading me to believe this wasn't actually the karaoke version. They do not have song books. You search for and pick your song using an electronic system (think humongous iPad) on the wall by the bar. The employees were nice and the establishment is gorgeous. The ladies room was clean (on a Monday night, mind you). The majority of the space is taken up by private rooms, which is where they expect to make a bulk of their money, along with alcohol sales. Due to the size of the common area, I'd only come on a weekend if I reserved one of the private rooms though. Otherwise, I will continue to come midweek, for free. read more

The rules for this place are absurd! As I read the terms I was shocked. They loveeee $150 for every fee. How does that even make sense?? Great experience. I walked in to the common area on my way to a private room I had booked with some friends. I have to say, even though we didn't stay too long in the common area, it gave off a fun vibe. Everyone, not only the person on stage, seemed to be having a great time singing along to their favorite songs. Once we were in our room, things only got better. The server was always quick and helpful when we needed help ordering food and choosing songs (the system seems to be set up in Chinese, but staff is ready to help). Okay let me say this the only real negative thing that I have to say about my time at this establishment was that the order of the karaoke songs that are sung was poorly managed. There's no reason that I've been here more than 3 hours and only had the opportunity to sing 2 times while there are individuals who easily sung more than 6 or 7 times. While I know this is typically a first come first serve type of situation this is was mad annoying. As a first time attendee and honestly could impact my decision to return again. Just tried out this place for girls night yesterday. I will say it is decorated really nice, sleek and chic feel. The seating to me isn't very accommodating and there weren't any seats around the bar so I kind of felt like everyone was stuffed in. Bartenders and staff were really nice and knowledgeable about the drinks and how to make ones off the menu. In my opinion the food and drinks are WAY too high. Martini was $14, six small little wingettes $10.99 and add a side of fries for $4. The food I got wasn't $15 worth AT ALL. Average drink $10 and it's average lol, martinis $13-14. So while this is easily still the best place in STL to do karaoke, I am beginning to develop a gripe with how they charge for their private rooms. The base rate is $58 for the small room, still a great deal, my biggest gripe, however, is that they automatically charge 18% gratuity on to the ROOM PRICE. You don't charge 18% gratuity on a cover charge? So why would you charge 18% on the room?! The prices for food are outrageous as is ($9 for a small order of sweet potato fries and $9 for edamame), so it's not like the servers aren't getting enough tip. And it would be different if the servers were constantly providing some service, but they typically only come in when we call for food or drinks. Again, read my previous review to get a better idea of the venue and all that, but just be aware of their pricing. read more

I'm celebrating my Golden years starting this year as I turn 50, and will most definitely be planning a Golden celebration in 1 of their Luxe karaoke suites at this Sparkly, Glittery venue! I went here with a group of friends on a Saturday night around 8pm. We didn't reserve a private room since we felt part of the fun of karaoke is people watching. We had to pay a $10 weekend cover charge since we didn't have a room reservation. We were surprised the main room was so small with little seating but loved the upscale decor! The place was gorgeous and really made you feel like it was a special night out. The bartender was knowledgeable and made a bourbon suggestion to me for my Kentucky mule which was delicious. The manager was helping people enter songs from a touch pad on the wall and they literally have any song you want. The screen also tells you what song is next so you know when you're on deck. I was here for an event with a group of friends. I mentally prepared myself with my favorite karaoke songs and was ready to rock. Pros: - Cool vibe. We got a private room. I think the main thing this place has going for it is the instagrammable vibe. It's a great place to throw a party and your guests will be impressed, especially compared to other dingy karaoke bars. - Extensive drink list. - Online room reservation was clutch. Easy to select a time and pay your deposit etc. - I liked that I could sing into a standing mic in the room. It made me feel like Freddie Mercury, except I can't pull off a mustache like him. Cons: - What was up with that song navigation system? It was nearly impossible to find and pick songs. A server had to help us, and it was extremely difficult. Even she struggled. Lots of the instructions are in Chinese. It felt like a shotty karaoke system. - Music Videos/song lyrics were very frequently synced incorrectly. Thank god i already know the lyrics to Mr Brightside and Total Eclipse of the Heart. You can't really rely on the lyrics on the screen. - Our server was sassy in a borderline rude way, not a fun way. - Overly expensive for a room reservation. It set me back 300$+ just for the room. I know it was a Saturday night, but I think that should be a deposit with drinks going towards it. Felt like I got shaken down. This is a shining star addition to the Loop! We went for a birthday party two years in a row now and the space was perfect for a group of 15 or so. There may also be larger rooms available. The drinks come quickly and are generous pours. Service all around is prompt and polite. The main bar is very diverse and everyone seems to feel comfortable here, brought together by a mutual love for bad 80s and 90s music mixed with a healthy heaping or top 40 hits! The mice do have a standard echo effect which makes everyone sound a bit better, but may annoy a true vocalist. Interactive and fun for all occasions or just a random Thursday night on the town! I celebrated my birthday in one of the private rooms. The communication was easy and effective, if you're in a hurry, call rather than sending an email. As my group shrunk due to last minute cancellations, they accommodated the change and gave us the smaller room, which I highly appreciated. Everyone liked the decor, the interface was easy to use, there are gazillions of songs to choose from. The service was friendly and unobtrusive, the drinks were good (my strawberry daiquiri could've used a bit more umpf, but that's just my preference). Some of my guests had food, but I didn't try any. I think this is an awesome new spot. The interior is gorgeous. Everyone seems to always be having fun. There are some crazY good singers from what I hear. Really talented. I've been two weekends in a row now and I have a few common observations from both weekends: Why do I get handed back a handful of coins when I pay for a drink? Every bar has $10 drinks or $7 drinks or $5 drinks. Not $10.03. Come on! Who wants .97 ?? Both weekends I've been, the bartender with the dark brown hair has been super friendly and helpful, but she's usually running around like a chicken with her head cut off because the other girls behind the bar are chatting/dancing/spraying body spray. It's just a little weird if u ask me. The bathrooms are like a war zone compared to the rest of the place. Toilets overflowing. Paper everywhere on the floor. Usually no toilet paper. Maybe u need a bathroom attendant on the weekends? I feel like your bathroom is a true reflection of your business as a whole. Overall this place is an awesome addition to the loop.
