I acted promptly because this was simply an opportunity I could not afford to disregard. As an individual who is ambitiously pursuing my dream to become an actor and model I was both nervous and excited as I confirmed the request for an audition. I immediately emailed my boss to explain to him I would not be able to make it into work the following day as I would be traveling nearly 4 1/2 hours to NYC to take advantage of this incredible opportunity. The following day as I arrived in New York City to audition I made my way into the Donna Grossman Casting studio where I was greeted professionally and treated with kind courtesy. As I finished filling out the necessary paperwork, I had misunderstood some instruction in regards to signing in, and I believe Donna Grossman herself asked me if I had signed in, to which I replied no, and with genuine concern for how long I had been there, asked me to sign in, and asked me if I had been waiting for awhile, to which I had also said no. I was comforted by the fact that she genuinely cared, and that everyone there was very welcoming and professional. I truly hope I have the opportunity to work with them in regards to Puma, or other opportunities, but regardless I'm grateful to have had this opportunity, and will say that if any of you ever have the pleasure of working with Donna Grossman Casting you won't be let down, because I know I wasn't.

Huge stalls, plenty of light from giant windows, and enough mirrrors to accommodate approximately 15 worried musical theater divas, or 20 regular ladies.(they tend to not travel with curling irons therefore take up less space) Anyway, thumbs up on the new location, auditioning here makes me feel important and a teeny weeny big more calm than other places.

From learning script analysis, on camera technique, getting my headshots and reel, and having help getting my casting account set up in class, I found myself getting cast super often immediately after graduation from the beginner program. I now take the on going advanced classes, and all the students and coaches truly feel like a family to me. The school's coaches are all working actors themselves who have worked with some of the biggest names in the industry so they are the best to learn from. They are people that you can go to with any questions you may have as a new actor and they are always so helpful. This isn't the type of school where you eventually take all the classes and have no more to gain; the advanced classes are always growing and the coaches give us scenes and work that they know will help our individual careers. The coaches take the most amazing tapes in class for us so I have a great reel from that to use for castings. We also always have endless support, a place to film our self tapes, and help with our auditions at this school. The classes that are offered are also the most affordable acting classes I have found in the city. I am grateful everyday that I have Act First!
