This probably keeps the worst of the wind away and there is some shelter from the worst of the elements. The station is handicapped accessible and they have audible and visual announcements of the next train in both directions. There are machines for topping off your Charlie Card or purchasing a Charlie Ticket. You will need to board the train at the door next to a driver so that you can swipe your form of payment. Newton Centre is located next to some dining and such. No idea about parking. It is on the "D" Branch of the Green Line between Newton Highlands (outbound) and Chestnut Hill (inbound).

Parking is also easy as there is a huge lot, and, it's reasonably priced. On weekends it's $3 and on weekdays it's $6. You pay right on the PaybyPhone app too which is convenient. Just like other locations, they have kiosks to purchase tickets/reload your existing CharlieCards. Trains depart about every 8-10 minutes but I suggest using the transit map on the Iphone for times as it's pretty accurate.

This will take you right to Fenway if you're going into Boston for a game. It costs $4.80 for a round trip. You can pay at the machine right before going through the electronic gate. You can use a Charlie Card or get a paper ticket and you have to pay to park your vehicle in the lot ($6), which you pay from an online app. This station is safe, clean and the T's are new. On the way back from a Red Sox game be prepared to stand until some of the local commuters get off at their stops along the way.

If there were not a few LED information boards installed there no one would know what this was. To access the platform a few long & steep metal stairs are at either end but there is no access for the handicap plus it is a tough time for anyone that would like to bring a bicycle on board. The station is drab & grey. Everything here looks like an after thought. I understand that it is a flag stop but a little more thought could been put into this place to allow for access to all & give helpful information to effectively commute in & out. Right now as it sit this place could be covered with a pile of snow & no one would notice it missing.

This suburban station on Boston's Green Line is on the "D" Branch. The station boasts a large…read moreparking lot of some 545 parking spaces and is approximately 11 miles from the downtown Government Center station. Surface level, but the station does have decent cover from the elements. There are audible and visual announcements of the next train in both directions. There is a portable boarding lift for people who need assistance getting onto the higher platform trolley cars. As well, the station features a small building with a few kiosks for purchasing your Charlie Ticket or adding value to your Charlie Card. If you are boarding the train here, you will need to do so at the door closest to the train driver so that you can provide payment. Disembarking will require pressing the "stop request" button but it's a popular station so it likely will stop anyway. Woodland Station is between Riverside (outbound, the terminus for the D branch) and Waban (inbound). This is definitely a nice station and I am a fan.

They do have audible and visual announcements of the train in either direction and you can walk across the tracks easily to get to the other side. There is a heated booth where you can wait for the train or use the automated kiosks to add value to your Charlie Card or purchase a Charlie Ticket. True rating = 2.5 stars This location has multiple sides for entrance and a heated Charlie Card kiosk. I sometimes get off here if I feel like just enjoying a more scenic walk than from Eliot. In the morning rush 80% all of the seats will already be taken so if you get on here expect to stand. One annoying issue with this stop is how far apart the platforms for crossing are and they are perfectly spaced so when the Train pulls in, it parks right over it! So you have to walk across the uneven tracks and still at that point if you are going Inbound to Boston you will have to wait until the train stops to desperately run to the front entrance. I've had several situations where I see the train is approaching but I can't run to the front of the train fast enough to get on!

Stairs down from street level to the platform where there is a small waiting area for trains. This is a very minor stop on the line with inbound morning departures for rush hour, a couple at lunch time, one in the evening, and two very late at night. Outbound is not much better with the stops clustered around evening rush hour and continuing on to Framingham or Worcester. Minor. There are a small number of parking spaces here. I did not spot a facility for purchasing a ticket, but you can use the MTicket app and buy it on your phone.

Meeting friends for dinner on Moody Street, I caught the commuter rail from North Station to here…read morewith no issue. The train is comfortable and the station in Waltham is fine. The rail here is single track, so they have two platforms at different ends of the station area. There is no kiosk for purchasing tickets but you can buy on board. They do have a board with the next train time on it and there are some waiting areas with the train schedule posted. There is parking and access to the boarding ramps is handicapped accessible.

But, in general it's a good station, with clean sidewalk.

There is a few parking spots, and it is located next to the town common with Starbucks, CVS, and a few restaurants nearby. The train is always on time heading both inbound/outbound, and it usually stands put about 20 minutes before departure so there is plenty of time to board and relax.

Situated between South Street (outbound) and Chiswick Road (inbound) there is no shelter here, no automated ticket kiosk, no announcement of the next train and not even a sign to let you know that the T might stop here. All they have is a slightly wider painted asphalt patch between the tracks and the roadway. The "station" is near a number of apartment buildings and residential neighborhoods but it is quite close to the Chestnut Hill Reservior and a short walk to Cleveland Circle Note that you will need to board the train next to the train driver so that you can swipe your Charlie Card or Charlie Ticket to pay your fare.

I like how there are multiple entrances to this and a path to go over Route 9 by the bridge. The only issues I've had in the past are the inevitable service malfunctions and when they decide to cut the route short they always stop at either Newton Centre or rarely Newton Highlands stop. Also during the winter this place can be very tricky to get to by foot since the City of Newton has a hard time keeping up with the shoveling/plowing and my trek to this station doubles!
