    Although I frequently see these green-painted shuttle buses (which are labeled "The Grid" on the…read moreexterior), it makes no sense for the 128 Business Council to operate any shuttle trips in Waltham given that there's already plenty of public transportation service provided by MBTA Bus Route 70 (final stop: Market Place Drive) and MBTA Bus Route 61 (Waltham Center, which also connects to the 70) - both of which are within easy walking distance from the many office parks in the area. Bus Route 70 also connects with the MBTA Red Line at Central Square, Cambridge (which is much closer to Downtown Boston than the 128 Business Council's connection to the Red Line at Alewife Station). The MBTA is the main source of public transportation service in the Greater Boston area - there's no denying it. Operating shuttle buses in places where there's already existing MBTA subway/bus service is completely unnecessary and just further adds to road congestion. This is very similar to the MASCO bus shuttles that operate in Boston's busy Longwood Medical Area, which is already served by two Green Line branches and seven different MBTA bus routes. I'm giving the 128 Business Council two stars (instead of a lower rating) because of its other two routes serving Lexington and Needham. The Lexington route is helpful for riders as there's low frequency on the nearby duo of MBTA Bus Routes 62 and 76, while the Needham route is beyond a 15-minute walk from MBTA Bus Route 59 service (which is also infrequent). If you're going to operate a shuttle bus service, it's best recommended to go to places where the MBTA doesn't travel to (aside from the obvious subway/Commuter Rail connection that needs to be included on one end of the route).

I'm able to mooch rides now and then, but it gets old. Then I found out about the 128 Business Council and their routes of service that stop at the front doors of my and several other major office buildings in Waltham and Lexington. They pick up on schedule from Alewife Red Line station, and it is ON TIME! They take 128 (duh) so we get to avoid a lot of rush hour crap. And it's cheap!! $2.50 a ride is much better than the $7 Commuter Rail and then the $20 cab from the train station to my office...made that mistake once. The shuttle is clean, quiet, and the driver has always been prompt and friendly. What a great idea for the small (but growing) number of us who want to rely on public trans for as long as is possible. Check them out!!

Green cabs are always on time - if not a little ahead. For example, I was flying out of Logan early one morning, and it was snowing pretty hard. Without prompting from me, they called to offer to come early so I would still make my flight. I agreed, and they were indeed there fifteen minutes early. The cabs are very clean and neat, and the drivers are awesome. In fact, it might be the drivers who make the company. It is family owned by folks from the Ukraine, and everyone I've ever had as a driver has been friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. You never feel like you're in a rush or annoying anybody, and they're always happy to let you know how things work around the Boston area, such as public transport, Logan policies, etc. For an out-of-towner, they're a necessity. In short, definitely pick these guys. They're nice, reliable and always on time.

When I called their office they told me there is nothing to do about it. I protested and told them I am not willing to pay the full price for such a service and the person on the phone started swearing at me!!! I called my credit card company and I am going to make sure to cancel the charge as they OVERCHARGED me! Also, when I logged into Yelp I saw that they filtered some of the bad reviews These people are thieves! Never deal with them

Moving…read moreto a new apartment off of Comm Ave in September, I thought, hey, I'll save a little money by taking the B line to work every day. Probably one of the stupidest things I've ever done. This bus gets me from its first stop to Federal Street in under a half an hour, without the hassle of stopping at too many red lights, dealing with BU kids who have a state of the art fitness center yet can't be bothered to walk 100 extra feet to get to class, and people who smell like they haven't showered since the Reagan 80's. I have an extra half an hour in the morning to relax, an extra half an hour at night, and all for $30 a month extra. Well worth it. If you live within a mile of one of these express buses and you have to go downtown in the morning - this is the only way to travel. Pay the extra $30 - it will immediately improve the quality of your commute, and the quality of your life, and I stand by that statement.

Will be using them again -- no question. However, these Cons: 1. a certain amount of quibbling with the office about size of vehicle we needed, which affected the price we'd be charged by $20-30+ base price. We had 2 people, 2 small roll-aboards (22" carry-on-sized cases) to be checked, a briefcase, and two small carry-on bags that would fit under the airline seat. Our telephone contact tried to insist that we needed an SUV rather than a sedan and asked me to take a photo of the luggage to prove we could fit in the sedan. I did but he still didn't believe it would all fit in the sedan's trunk (I told him it all fit in my Corolla's trunk) and warned me that they wouldn't allow any bags in laps or on seats. Eventually, because we'd already ok'd the sedan and credit-card charge for it, we did get the sedan. Plenty of room for the luggage in the trunk, no problem. ' 2. A small issue, but for the price, it might have been nice for the drivers to help 2 elderly get their luggage from/to the front steps of the house (if not the door in Covid times). But both drivers were otherwise cheery, mindful of our preferences re route, etc. and -- as I said -- we'll use Smurfs again.

I prefer to tip myself and I might give a little less or a little more to a driver, but it's unusual for transportation businesses to charge a tip and I said that. The owner of the business then said go somewhere else and hung up on me. Absolutely shocking and I will not use this business again. Think about going elsewhere because who needs that kind of rude behavior in this world. Of course some people are just looking for ways to be offended. Not good for business though..
