We had a fabulous time on our trip. Besides some delays with travel, everything went smoothly. Loved all the hotels/family villas we stayed at during our 16 day trip to Croatia and Greece. We have never left a negative review however our treatment was abhorrent and want to warn others before they lose thousands like us. We booked a trip to Italy in 2019 with Hilary (with my husband intending to propose). Unfortunately COVID came and we had to postpone our plans. We were told we would not be refunded our trip in its entirety and that $2000 would be retained and utilized for another trip. When planning an 8 day trip to France this year (with one day being a family wedding) we reached out to Hilary to help us plan our vacation. We were a family of 10 traveling through Greece on a family adventure originated through WAC travel. We started out visiting two Islands, Santorini and Paros and then flew to the north to visit four historic locations; Ioannina (my husband's family's homeland), Meteora and Delphi and ending up in Athens. Our guide Laura, from our very first day in the North, captivated us with her knowledge and expertise of Greek mythology and navigated us through the most incredible journey through Greece. We have been with many guides in the past but none have made an impression that Laura has. There was a special bond that was created between all 10 of us and Laura. Her boundless energy, intensity and caring was above and beyond anything we have ever encountered. She is a true expert in Greek antiquity and mythology and engaged us in stories that gave us a true sense of what it was like living in Ancient Greece. She imparted to us the essence of the Socratic method of learning through her questions which encouraged us to activate our past knowledge of Greek mythology. We were traveling with young adults and through her encouragement they were able to answer questions that were posed to them about the Gods. Every right answer was followed by "bravo" from Laura. Everyday was filled with authenticity, fun and learning. Laura made sure that not a moment was wasted and would change our schedule on the fly if she felt it was warranted or if someone requested it. Beware: A 2-week trip to Spain planned by WAC for a family of 2 adults and 2 children will cost $28,800! When I asked Hilary if she could work within a lower budget range, she said it was not possible. I know it is possible so it's disappointing that I was essentially turned away because I do not want to spend $28,800 on a 2 week trip! This is an unrealistic budget for many families. WAC should be more upfront about the pricing range they prefer to work with. I had to wait over 1 month for a phone consultation, and spent 45 minutes on the phone consultation before being given this price. What a waste of time! I have already found another travel agency that is able to plan the same trip for $10,000. read more

We just completed our 2nd trip planned by WAC travel. The 1st one was to Greece with a Group of 8 in 2022, this year's trip was to Portugal amd was just as over the top and perfectly executed as our Greece trip. We started in Porto at an incredible hotel and had several days of exploring the city and Douro valley wine country, the guides and tranfers were excellent! We were then driven down the coast to Lisbon stopping along the way at some beautiful beach towns and seeing the famous giant waves at Nazare, then to Lisbon where we explored yet another amazing city w excellent guides and tours. The Vamoos app also was a welcome addition on this 2-week trip to Rome, Tuscany, Sorrento, Positano and Taormina. We also can't say enough about all of our transfer drivers arranged by WAC. They always early or on-time, are courteous and very helpful. The golf cart food tour in Rome is an absolute must, as is the lunch and wine tasting at the Tenuta Casanova Farm in Tuscany. We booked our 30th anniversary trip to Italy through Ashley. It was absolutely perfect! She tailored the trip to our requests but also gave us suggestions for visiting places she knew we would like. We ended up doing most of them! She recommended a villa in the Chianti region that was charming and full of history. We easily accessed medieval villages as well as wineries and olive groves by car. Driving was as easy as she told us it would be. We even had a private 5 course cooking lesson right at the villa! Serena was fabulous. The hotel in Florence had a rooftop bar with the most magnificent sunsets and the tours we took were informative and interesting. One guide, Emilia, has renewed our love of art and architecture. In Rome we started with a food tour that took us off the beaten path and out of the crowds...amazing food. We toured the Colliseum, Roman Forum and Palatine Hill with a guide who had a degree in architecture and did the rest on our own. There was so much more but it would make a book. We just got back from 16 days in Italy! It was such an awesome trip. Grace and Hikary from WAC Travel set up an itinerary that is second to none! There was never a dull moment and we were always on the move. They hooked us up with tours, tour guides and added surprises through out the time we were there. My favorite surprises we're seeing the American Cemetary in Florence, attending mass at Montecasino Abbey and also the church where Padre Pio preached. The Puglia region was remarkable.
