I've had to chase after them on several issues. They seem to forget that my property is their customer.

Seagate Village

Seagate Village

(2 reviews)

Wonderful place to establish a community. Terrible choice if you expect that. Sidewalks are…read morebroken and upended on every street. Any rain, everything is flooded. Drainage pipes between buildings are failing, water connections are failing. driveways are broken and not being fixed at a rate above a snail. You have control over 15 X 40 feet of the outside, rear, yard. You can do NOTHING to it without appeasing the board, of whom you will know no one, you will be new to the area, and they as a board will do everything they can do to keep your home under-valued, looking like project housing that they can keep it. Unless of course you are a board member, then you can do whatever you like, anywhere you like doing it. Myrtle Beach (city) own the streets, sidewalks and drainage areas. It is taken care of like any other ghetto in MB, it is ignored and forgotten. The city workers tear up lawns, streets, and sidewalks and leave the areas as torn up as possible. No loam, no replacement of broken sidewalks, squashed piping. It is a travesty and Myrtle Beach should be ashamed of it self. You pay for your condo and then find out that there is no "lawn" maintenance because there is no lawn. Lots of weeds, but no lawn. Trees have not been trimmed in the five years I have been here. Not a single broken sidewalk has been replaced, many more have been smashed and broken. To walk in Seagate Village is to take your life in your hands, not because of bad guys, but because if you have poor vision, poor balance, any issues of handicap and you are doomed. And no, going to the office will do you zero good. Everyone (city, realtor, admin) will pretend that the other will fix the problem whilst in reality, none will. Trapped between two areas of white gentrification, Seagate Village has lost its appeal, its military function and history, and has stopped being a place where retiring and comfort are applicable.

Renter beware....it is mostly old people. I did not know this. I am in my 20's. Nobody gives you…read morehell...but not really somewhere you want to be in your 20's. Makes you want to be quiet at 10 o'clock at night.
