Took Luchesse Caimans in there because I thought the thread was coming out of the soles! He looked at them and explained what was happening and said they were fine I left them there for him to service and clean and he made them look better than new for 20 dollars you can't even get a good exotic cleaning kit for that! This shop has the traditional shoe repair vibe to it. You can tell that it has been here a long time and it's obviously well established. The neighborhood isn't that great, but you park horizontal to the front door, so it's just a few steps to the front door. I never felt unsafe or scared. I went in to get my European silk wedding shoes stretched, they felt a bit narrow while I could wear them, I knew after a few hours of standing then dancing, it might be a challenge. As I walked in the door, the shop smelled of wonderful rich leather and I was greeted promptly with a warm hello and a sincere smile. We introduced ourselves and I explained what I mentioned above. Now here is where I KNEW that I had come to the right place, the kind gentleman (Jose) not only "congratulated" me on the upcoming wedding he then proceeded to tell me that it would be his honor to help me with my shoes for such a special day. He genuinely meant it.. Wow, service!! He promised they would be ready by 1pm the next day and they were! I felt like Cinderella trying them on, perfect fit! I gave him a hug and thanked him. He literally saved my day!!! If he couldnt fix them, I would have been devastated, these are exquisite, one of a kind shoes and I would be very hard pressed to find a replacement pair in time. I don't know what this service usually costs anywhere else, but I can tell you it was embarrasingly minimal. As a bride, I have learned the minute you say "wedding", the price automatically goes up, but not here! I emphatically recommend Waco Shoe Hospital. I genuinely adore Mr. Jose and will refer anyone with out question, hesitation or reservation! Love Love Love!! read more

Neither pleased nor displeased really. Truth is I needed some repair work and in the duration of 100 seconds from the time I walked in and left was told my repair request couldn't be accommodated. Huh? You can't do anything with these? No. I have a pair of Ecco construction/hiking boots that had been compromised: a small (silver dollar sized) rubber scuff strip above each heel had broken down and torn apart. The innards of the boot were visible and thus no way were they still water proof. I paid too much for these boots to begin with (not really. They were expensive, but my achy feet LOVE them). I couldn't take no for an answer. So i did a little research and devised a way myself. Oh well. Boots are good to go. read more

As mentioned in previous reviews, this shop is in an older part of Waco. Easy to find. Jose is a very nice guy and loves to joke and chat. Very much epitomizes small town hospitality. Prices are matched fairly to the quality work delivered. If you can wear it on your feet, Jose can repair it! Ask about getting a pair of handmade cowboy boots! read more

I got a pair of boots re-soled here a few years ago, and the service was great! He was finished quickly, and when I came back to pick them up, I didn't have any cash.
