This school is hands down the best place for cosmetology. Out of all the schools i looked at and toured. The instructors are very attentive and give you every feed back which helps you learn. We do a class called color theory and if you thought you knew hair before starting, you are wrong. There are so many things to learn. You learn the aspects of the business world as well. This place looks good and has okay service but I will NOT come back to get a hair cut I asked for bangs just to end up getting them lopsided and I had to fix it when I got home, the lady tried to give me the little side strands only to have those VERY uneven as well, one side is very full and nice looking while the other barely has any strands of hair. Despite the bad reviews in 2016, this school has definitely made some improvements. The school is in good condition physically and I have had zero issues with plumbing issues. The school is swept and mopped every day. All of the towels that we use are washed after each use and are never reused on clients.. Yes, there are only 3 instructors, but they try their best to insure that everyone is getting the help they need. We are there 6-8 hours a day every day so of course there is down time, however, we are always encouraged to study or practice new techniques on our own time whenever that is the case. We have different classes focused on learning new things that would usually cost $$$ if we weren't students, so that is very nice. We are learning what's necessary to get certified, but we are learning so much more than what's needed as well. Highly recommend this school. read more

Honestly this is the best school, I have only been here a couple of days and I have learned sooooo much! The instructors teach visual, hands on, and even though book. Even though there's many students, and only three instructors, I was taught one on one. I've covered so much I'm already moving on to cuts and it's only been a few days. The instructors and students made me feel very welcome once I started. It's super awesome and very fun to be here. I'm glad I made my choice to come to this school. read more

Thegirl was pleasant. 1.5 hours to put foil in just the front of my hair. Waiting for lightening -they don't have dryer or any heat source. Said the company Tigi that we have a contract with says it does not need heat. Yeah - no way. She touched my hair with shampoo andsome toner and blew dry. Instructors were just as bad no alternative solution. I'm off to look for a hairdresser to fix. Oh and the manager was too busy to answer. read more

Biggest mistake of my life trusting these people to do right but their students! 12,000 in tuition kept my paid for 539 hours. Wasted a year of my life for the most fraudulent education I've witnessed in my entire life. And their attorney contacted mine offering to release my hours they are unlawfully holding if I agreed to sign a non-disclosure agreement. Clearly I declined. Hands down the worst cosmetology program in lbk. First off they forged my signature on a bunch of loan documents taking out way more money out in my name then what i agreed to. Thankfully the Police Department is helping me take care of that. They are unlawfully are holding my hours at the moment and they had the nerve to contact my attorney with an offer stating they will release my hours (that i have paid for) if I sign something saying that I won't talk about how horrible their school is. And this is just the beginning of it. The TIGI program they are so proud of is about 5 years old. So even if you graduate and want to work in a TIGI Salon your education won't even barely meet the standards needed. About 85% of the students who graduate here can't even get a job Behind the Chair because they don't teach you anything. They don't care if you've done your homework, they don't care if you passed your test. Class time is an absolute joke. For god sakes students take naps in class all the time. Over half the time you can't even find a teacher to help you. they like to lock themselves in their office all day and play with their phones. Not to mention the school is disgusting. They never hardly clean or sanitize their tools. They reuse dirty towels on new clients. They've even performed haircuts on people with lice. The roof leaks, the shampoo bowls leak. The Plumbing in the building is always messed up but don't worry if it's fixed you won't even have toilet paper to use they seem to never have it on stock along with hand soap and paper towels. Oh and the owner wade? Yea he only comes to visit the school once every few months, and he gives no shits about what goes on in that school or how its ran as long as he's bringing in money. They are completely unprofessional. And i would avoid this place at all cost. read more

First, you have to understand that you are going to get your hair done by a student. So have no expectations of time spent. I like to go to support them. They NEED real live people to practice their skills as well as learn the social aspect of hairstyling. It's a decent way to save some money, but the main reason one should go is to give a student some business and confidence in their newfound skill. read more
