Our server took her time to explain to us the menu and experience at Waffle-era, including suggestions for pairing waffles and teas. You can add alcohol to any tea or coffee or juice drink on the menu, which was really cool. She and the team were very accommodating about splitting the bill a certain way, making sure to clarify any allergies or preferences, and making sure we all got our food. I had the half Tauras (savory) and half Queso del Pais (sweet) waffles with a regular latte. The Tauras was delicious! Loved the soft goat cheese and savory pesto and balsamic. The Queso del Pais was a local specialty I wanted to try (with torched white cheese and guava paste) and it was really interesting - worth it. The coffee was good and the rest of the group was pretty happy with their waffles, although the restaurant ran out of pesto and several of the group had to replace it with balsamic or chipotle sauce. Pillows were a bit puffy for my liking. Shower was hot with good pressure. The pool area was very nice with ample sitting and some shade. The infinity pool was a cool vibe. We ate in the restaurant for breakfast one morning which was convenient. A couple of dinners were within walking distance at the food court a couple of blocks away. We all walked into the nearby neighborhood to eat a couple of meals so good location. Parking was in a ramp directly across from the hotel Checkin. You have to pay but you get a card which allows for unlimited access in and out of the garage. We didn't have much luck gambling but the full table was open each time we visited, including one time when it was just us. We used the free shuttle to get to old San Juan but it never showed up to bring us back. We had to Lyft back and informed the front desk and they accommodated us appropriately. We had a great stay. Given the January festival in old San Juan when we were there, I'm glad we stayed a bit outside of that area.
