I stopped by this place to grab a quick bite before work. Thankfully it wasn't too busy and the people were friendly. They quickly took my order upon arrival but I had to wait an extra 10 min for their credit card machine to get up and running. No issues with that though since i was able to chat w/ another patron while I waited. I didn't end up getting a typical waffle breakfast. I order the detox and skinny morning breakfast sandwich. Both were might tasty and worth the quick walk from the hotel. Wish I had taken pictures but I guess I was too hungry.
Was looking for a smoothie in the area when I found Waffler Ave. I ordered the fruit smoothie (which I believe has strawberry and banana in it), as well as the skinny morning breakfast sandwich. Both were good but the smoothie was the best that I've ever had. I loved the smoothie so much that I went back the next day for another one. I love how close this place is to the beach. I went to go sit at the beach after I ordered my food. Whenever I'm back in San Juan, I will definitely stop by again.
It's a small spot more for take out. You can eat outside with a nice view. It's close to beach. The service is quick and they have friendly staff. For 2 meals we paid $14. It is reasonable. They smoothies a so bowls, platters and sandwiches. I had turkey bacon, egg whites and toast. It was pretty good. I would return if I'm in the area. The only negative is there are birds close to the area preying on your food.
I had the best açaí bowl that I've ever had here. Now, it's a hole in the wall...I mean, you can hardly turn around in there. There's no seating inside..they have outdoor seating but you'd better love pigeons a whole lot to sit out there. I mean, the pigeons are everywhere. My açaí bowl with peanut butter along with the included toppings (I know it's weird but it's my thing..don't judge me) was delicious. This bowl was loaded and it wasn't too expensive. The employees were very nice too, which is always a plus. I'm pretty sure I'll be going back to get another one before I leave Puerto Rico.

You know a place is good when you see a line forming out the door at 7 am. We went there and it did not disappoint! We liked it so much so we went there a few more times. Their oatmeal is amazing, I just couldn't have enough of it. My son kept on refilling himself with the French toast. If you eat here, you won't regret it.
Unique and tasty offerings in a small, but still adequate size, location. It is in a rather busy part of the tourist section, in easy walking distance to several hotels and shopping areas. Nice selection of breakfast items (service all day) as well as some fun treats. Limited places to sit and dine, so a To-Go plan might be best for most.
Walking distance from our hotel. Prices super reasonable for a quick, satisfying breakfast/brunch. They made the Acai Bowl without granola which made it gluten free. The breakfast sanwiches were yummy and came with chips. The pick three option hit the spot for only $9.89! It is just a counter in the place - no place to sit but there were a few benches outside and a beautiful green space to enjoy your meal.
Tourist trap. Low quality food. Service is super super slow and poor. It's located next to the beach so they can still get business for poor quality. Came here and got a smoothie, took 25min to get my 1 smoothie and it tasted like sugar water. No substance. And still cost $7. Staff is rude, to be expected. No parking near here. Only reason this place is still in business is because of its proximity to the beach.
Cute corner cafe downtown San Juan! We had their signature hazelnut coffee! It was so delicious you can smell the hazelnut in the steaming cup! Service was quick although it was a busy morning. So glad our tour guide stopped here to let us off the bus to see the ocean and have a sip of this delightful brew!
A really great cafe in the Condado area--perfect for a relaxed breakfast with plenty of options to choose from. They have an impressive menu with juices, smoothies, and lots of add-ons so you can customize your meal exactly how you like it. The waffle options looked amazing too, especially if you're in the mood for something sweet. We weren't craving sweets, so we went with a Caprese sandwich and added jalapenos--such a good choice, it was absolutely delicious. Alongside that, we had a cappuccino and a detox juice, both of which were excellent. We also ordered an açaí bowl, and it was super fresh and made just the way we like it. They serve everything in takeout-style boxes, and you can enjoy your meal outside on the benches, soaking in the open-air vibe and views. Definitely a spot worth checking out in Condado! read more

I'll start with the service. You go in it's a small place but you only go in to order. They have platters, sandwiches oatmeal and etc. I had turkey bacon with egg whites and hash browns. All that was $10 and it was good. read more

Loved the Geneva sidewalk stuffed waffler!!! The rest of the food and coffee was good. Nice area to sit outside. Chicken's walking around haha. The area to order food inside is a bit cramped. read more

Great place to get breakfast in PR, especially if you're staying at Conando Vanderbilt because it's a quick walk from the hotel. The prices are very affordable and you get your food rather quickly. It seems popular too because they had a lot of people ordering. I did the create your plate. I'll just talk about the waffle because eggs and bacon are pretty standard everywhere. The waffle was delicious. It reminded me of eating a funnel cake without excessive oil. I do wish the portion size of the waffle was bigger. The staff was super nice and had great personalities. The establishment gives a home vibe like a little place you'd frequent in your hometown where everyone who works there knows who you are. The only thing is, it's rather small inside, so it can feel tight if you and other people are waiting to order. They do have a few seats outside to sit, but otherwise, you're better off taking the food to go. read more

Waffler is a decent grab-and-go brekkie spot that beats the mark-up on hotel food. The egg/bacon/cheese sandwich was good - generous portions of both cheese and bacon were included- as was the smoothie. The waffle we ordered was barely visible under the blanket of Nutella. Syrup also was provided on the side. The waffle itself was nicely browned on the edge, but the dough was dry and crumbly - basically a pancake in waffle form. Our impression was that it needed more egg to elevate it. It's difficult for me to award more stars when the signature menu item is just OK. Service was acceptably quick. They only have a small indoor space, which means customers queue up outside (this would be true with or without Covid). There is limited outdoor seating, and they will bring your food out to you. But it's near a busy avenue and a public restroom, so zen is minimal. If I had to do it again, I'd fetch the food back to our hotel room. read more

Beautifully decorated with a homemade taste. I can't remember the name of the waffle I had but the presentation was beautiful and it tasted great. Bacon was a little flimsy but portions were plentiful. Great, inexpensive local spot for breakfast read more

Ive eaten here three of the four days ive been here and plan on eating here again before leaving. The service is excellent. The people appear to genuinely love what they're doing, and the food that they're serving. The prices are on par and I have learned to like espresso which I never liked before but this place has some of the best espresso, well that I know of, because I normally didn't drink it. The waffles are awesome, most times you don't even need syrup, even though they give it to you. Again, highly recommended read more

Only has outdoor seating. Service was 7/10. Food was 7/10-waffle was a bit over cooked. I also ordered a papaya juices drink that was advertised as fresh and organic but it was low quality in my opinion. Wouldn't get the drink again. Wouldn't mind the Waffle again. One waffle and one drink came to $20-a bit overpriced. read more
Safe to say I was disappointed. I didn't even take a picture of my food it was so unappealing. The food I was given was something I could've ordered at any quick breakfast place. I could've even made it myself. The food was not even hot when I received it. From the point of ordering to the time I received my food was 35 minutes, which is absolutely not the vibe of this fast food shop. It was a Sunday morning and there was a line around the block for it. And I'm not sure what the clout was about because it was definitely not worth it. You wait in line, then enter the store. You order and pay at the cash register and then wait outside for them to bring the food to you. I ordered a chocolate chip waffle and the chocolate was just chips added after the waffle was made. The hashbrown was exactly the same thing you get at McDonald's. The bacon was not a thick slice but more of a slice you could microwave from premade packs at the grocery store. The eggs weren't anything expectational. I was really unimpressed by this stop, not at all meeting my expectations. It may be a different experience at a different time of day. I wanted to love this place but eh, it wasn't what I thought it would be. The cashier seemed bored, the music was loud and I don't think she could hear what we were asking for. I didn't want what I received. My husband and I both ordered waffles with ice cream. He received a plain waffle, I received the overly sweet caramelized one. I didn't want that and we had both asked for the waffles to be plain. The good: waffles were freshly made, the location in Condado (right off the beach) is terrific, they have outside seating so you can enjoy people watching (and dog watching) and a nice kid brought everything out to us. My husband enjoyed his waffle. The not so good: Mine was meh, since it was too sweet, and it repeated on me for the rest of the day. The cashier left a bit to be desired on that Saturday morning. Pricey. All in all it's something to try when you're in Condado, and I wouldn't write it off. read more
Despite other negative reviews, I gave this place a try to take a break from the $30+ breakfast at my hotel (Condado Vanderbilt) as it's just across the park. I'm so glad I did! I was greeted by the cashier soon after stepping up to the door (around 7:15) and ordered after he politely asked if he could finish putting out the tables. I ordered the egg white/ham/half waffle plate and added the veggie mix. Delicious! The ham was a bit salty (which is I think how it is in PR) but with the waffle and sort of sweet hot sauce that I asked for, it was a perfect combo. The waffles are definitely worth trying. They are completely homemade and have the perfect crispy on the outside soft and slightly gooey (but not undercooked) on the inside consistency. I also ordered the sausage egg and cheese sandwich for the BF. It's a panini style sandwich with a crispy bread shell stuffed with a perfectly shaped and sized thin sausage patty, oozy cheddar cheese and a layer of egg. If this place is close and not too busy, give it a try! Hopefully you'll catch them on a good day like I did. No wait, friendly staff, and deliciously executed breakfast! read more
First breakfast stop in San Juan, now I'm addicted. It's a small shop but has many yummy options! Despite the name waffler ave, they have many waffle, savory breakfast, and coffee options. You walk in and order, then wait outside until they bring your order out. Would definitely recommend the Nutella coffee & cookies and cream waffles! The only down side (but clearly didn't affect the rating), there are not many places to sit and eat. Luckily our hotel was just next door, so we were able to bring it back to the room. It's a quick spot to grab breakfast; especially if you sleep late, since most places stop serving breakfast at 11am on weekdays. It's at the park so you can eat outside on the benches. They also serve smoothies and açaí bowls. Oh, and fresh juices too. read more

This place wasn't horrible but it was not good. First the food, was excited for the waffle but it was soggy and undercooked. I ate about 1/2 of it before calling it quits. The bacon felt microwaved. It was fine. The worst item bought was a medium iced latte and it went directly in the trash after the first sip. The coffee was old or burnt and the most disappointing part of the meal since it was a total waste of money. read more

Came here this morning for cheap breakfast before hitting the beach. The place is small but cute. We both got waffles and it was delicious! We did have to wait a little but it's vacation and we had time. Definitely recommend this place for a sweet treat :) read more
