We've been to this WH many times, we are local. Most of the time it's been pretty alright. I ask for something specific like crisp bacon and 99% of the time I get exactly that. The staff I'm friendly too! Shannon is especially nice. Then there was yesterday. I don't know who the woman serving was, she had no name tag on. She didn't tell us her name. She had quite short hair. She was rude. Got our drinks mixed up. We waited longer than we ever have for our food. We saw it sitting on the pass, so we know how long it took for her just to decide to bring it to us. It was cool when we got it, not cold but certainly not hot. While waiting for this, she brought me the wrong food. Everything was so slow, she ignored you like you weren't there if you tried to get her attention. She was just "meh" about everything. Even the cook was telling her to speed things up. (I gotta say this man makes perfect crispy bacon.). At the end, my husband went up to pay and he stood there for nearly 10 minutes. She was literally behind the counter, right in front of him, but turned to the back. He tried and tried, she really seemed to ignore him. He loudly cleared his throat, he didn't want to be rude. You know how they always yell welcome and goodbye? Neither happened. She should have been the one responsible, it was only her and the cook that I saw. It was around 3 pm. Regardless of the taste of the food - which was great - experiencing her makes me hopeful that if/when we go there again, she will be gone. read more

Thank goodness for Waffle House. Stopped in here when a breakfast place up the road I wanted to go close for remodeling at the beginning of June. This place was so busy they kept forgetting about me from initial drinks, to giving me a menu, taking my order, refilling my coffee and giving me my check. Very unusual for a Waffle House especially since I sat at the high bar seating. Just must of been one of those days, but I did get the waffles, eggs and toast I ordered which were all great.. Overall, not the best experience I've had, but still got a good breakfast. read more

We had the best breakfast and service! Melissa was a wonderful hard working waitress. The decaffeinated coffee was the best coffee I have ever had in Horry County! Kudos to the men chefs! I try not eating by the counter. Why? Because the last thing i want to have with my breakfast is a number of people behind the counter talking and bitching about something. I must say that I have been a patron at many a Waffle House and this is by far the BEST experience I have had yet. Very friendly staff who greeted customers as they entered. This is obviously a busy location but they had adequate staff who were assigned to their areas and handled the workload with ease. Would definitely revisit this location. read more

Great food terrible service. Our waitress Jessica was awful with no manners or respect. Didn't ask how we would like the check split then claims in the end she did. Had to wait 10-15 minutes for a refill. Was given no silver where, had to ask for it then had to wait an additional 10 minutes to get her attention for a knife and butter which I should have been given to begin with. She checked on us once on her own, which to was to give us our check. All she was worried about was entertaing the gentleman at the counter whom was making inappropriate comments to her. We ask for to go boxes and a drink and got no response to my friend stated she's not listening we then go a very nasty attitude in return, and my drink slammed on the table. I love Waffle House, just not this one. My husband and I entered and were not greeted, in fact, we were ignored and there were at least 6 people working. They did not tell us there were 2 seats available, so we left. This is not the first time this has happened at this site. I refuse to go there. My suggestion is to go to the one near the college. read more

This is another location that is not aware of Store Policy regarding discounts. I asked the waitress when I entered if they had a military discount. She said she did not think so but she would give me one anyway. I then said that is not the answer you should be giving customers. I have worked in retail for the past 30 years. Employees need to be aware of Corporate or store policy. The problem is the employees do not know the policy. The cook then jumped in and stated that they did not give any discounts. I have been to many Waffle houses traveling. This one tops them all. Staff greets you, everyone is smiling, music going. Service is wonderful, never have to ask for anything. The waitresses are wonderful. I never thought I would rave about a Waffle House but this one deserves a review. One drawback is there is a smoking section. I did not experience any smoke smell. But hopefully this will change in SC. read more

Halloween Night i went to waffle house and it was awful. Awful service do not waste your time. The workers were joking and laughing about Ebola saying "you have ebola to eachother." They act as if they are 10 years old. They were also listening to music on their phone and singing to rap music with foul language. One worker looked as if he was tipsy he could barley even stand he had to go sit down. There was hair in two of our plates. They do not wear hair nets or gloves. One worker sneezed in her hand and did not even wash afterward. I would rate lower than a 1 but thats not possible. read more

The place was very dirty with large amount of food on the floors. Tables were very dirty and sticky. Waitress was nice but, was putting her fingers in her mouth.
