I live in Layton now, but I was born in Provo! but every time I'm on the Provo/orem hill. I stop by! Last time it had been so long that my stomach got really full with maybe 3/4 of a waffle! Update: Okay, I'm annoyed that they automatically put a suggested tip up on the screen when you go to pay. I doubt they are getting paid under the minimum wage, considering how pricey the waffles are. Since the point of sale screen is facing the entire line when you pay for the order, your selection becomes quite public. My suggestion is that they get rid of the automatic tip and just focus on delivering good waffles at a price that maximizes returns to they can pay their employees fairly. I asked for the best/most popular item. I got the red velvet. While waiting for my waffle, a girl comes to make an order to which she was asked if it was her first time. She said yes, then the guy gave her a punch card. He also punched it out completely for her. She was attractive sure. I'm standing there thinking to myself about "hey, where's my punch card?". It was luckily parked close by our place in 12300 south this morning. So I came down with my family ... As we came down around 10am, we already saw a queue line, so I dropped my wife as I need to go to nearby bank first. My six year old is very excited about the truck as he's been talking about having a waffle since early morning. The waffle itself is simply delicious... It is nicely sweet (so it is sweet but not too sweet) and the cream is just perfect... I like the waffle with Biscoff better than with Nutella (too sweet) and the strawberry and raspberry are truly fresh ! So, we have a literally fulfilling morning... Love it ! I found the favorite waffle price is rather steep for around $8 and with tax and tip, the total is $10 per plate... I don't mind it once in a while though ... The waffles were good and crispy. But the inside was still doughy. So it made it only ok. Had the bananas and cream waffle and the sunrise waffle which had lemon curd and raspberries with whipped cream. They were good and I liked the fresh fruit; but it wasn't that great to me. I know many people that have suggested this, so maybe it's just not for me, even though I love sweets and whipped cream. Breakfast from this food truck is an absolute treat. Visited them in parking lot next Lowe's in West Jordan a few weeks back. Pros: amazing food, great combinations offered, perfect portion sizes (kids can split), very friendly staff, updated facebook/twitter feed to find current location. Cons: long line, took about 20/25 minutes to go through the line and get our food, also cost, ~$7 a waffle if you put any toppings on it (which is a must), not outrageous but a buck or two higher than I'd prefer. read more

The staff acted like it was a privilege for us that we got to wait for their food. They had this weird attitude about it. It turned me off for sure. The thing that made me mad is the dumb girl taking orders didn't warn us it was going to be so long! After we complained, as well as several other families, she finally started telling people it was going to be a wait. Get your stuff together! Oh Waffle Love, what more can I say than "I Waffle Love Thee!" This was my first food truck experience, and I am a fan! The wait was moderate, based on the crowd, about 10 minutes after we ordered, we were enjoying the spoils of our waffle goodness. The portion was well sized, the price was ... well a little spendy I thought, but I am not an expert on the food truck experience. I had the loaded waffle, that had the special goodness inside, a fruit topping, and the whipped cream. Now, I am not even remotely a fan of whipped cream in general. Happened to catch Waffle Love one rainy evening and the line only had about 3 people ahead of us. We got the ice cream waffle with nutella and strawberries and one with nutella, strawberries, banana, and whipped cream. We were waiting for about 10 minutes and realized that they had stopped calling out names of the customer whose order were complete. I went up by the pick up station and stood there while the they kept piling on the completed boxes. Never caught anyone's attention and finally had to just ask if my order is ready. They all gave me blank stares and had to have the cashier guy come over to give me my order, which has been sititing at the counter for quile a while. The ice cream melted and became a vanilla soup mess by the time we ate it. The other order was still good. The waffle texture was just perfect (slightly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside) with just the right amount of nutella and fresh fruit. My 11-year-old loves Saturday's Waffles. I do, too. But the kid gets barraged by all of the Waffle Love social media marketing.It's been enough to make her want to check the place out. We haven't because it's generally a trek to get there. Olympus Hills Mall for Saturday's Waffle is far enough already. Turns out Waffle Love is adding a truck and planting it in Sandy. They were there in front of Vasa on 1300 East last Saturday so we decided to give it a go. I had some cinnamon bun themed number, she had a traditional with a huge dollop of whip cream on top. The menu wasn't nearly as sophisticated as Saturday's Waffle ("Sophisticated." "Waffle." Same sentence, super sardonic!) but they're not supposed to be clones. There is an ice cream option. That was way too close to diabetes, even for my kid! The waffle seemed like it had been cooked the night before and kept in a warming oven or zapped in a microwave shortly after I ordered it. Certainly not piping hot. It was definitely "tougher" than Saturday's is. Almost wished I had had a knife. The help was great. The truck not nearly as charming as Saturday's is. Seems like all I'm doing is comparing these two and I haven't even mentioned Belgium Waffle and Omelet Inn! Let me sum up my review: Waffle Love offers a punch card. Eat 10, the 11th is free. It's that kind of a place. No punch cards (that I know of) at Saturday's Waffle (again with the comparisons). The waffles here are pretty darn good, but I feel like the toppings are not nearly as good as say other waffle trucks in SLC *cough cough Brugges* I had strawberries and creme and my husband got the raspberries and creme. The fruit on both looked like it was a few days old and a bit shriveled. The creme was a also a bit chunky and looked like it was starting to separate. There is lots of love in these waffles for sure! My only complaint is that they don't stay in my driveway! When ever they are within a 20 min drive I am there. My wife and I were driving home this afternoon were blessed by a local phenomenon. After a quick double-take, I conducted two possibly illegal and dangerous U-turns and pulled in to the parking lot of a random medical center where, at least for this fleeting few hours, a Waffle Love truck had decided to take up shop. Waffle Love, or @Waffluv if you prefer, owns three food trucks. One travels around Utah county, one in Salt Lake county, and one oddly enough in Arizona. They announce their locations for the day over their Facebook page every morning. Well, its a food truck... and it was REALLY cold. I have to give these guys some credit here. I had a great time. We talked about their business model and the menu.They were extremely friendly despite the long-ish line of people waiting for waffles. I asked them what I should order and they immediately pointed to the Red Wonder, the most expensive item on the menu. So, This isn't a lot of food for $8 bucks. It was, however, a really fun experience and I would probably enjoy another waffle or two from them among friends. The kind of waffle they make is called a Liege Waffle, which is made from a batter that seems to be high in butter content. The result is a scone-like fried waffle that is both crispy and flaky. The Red Wonder tops this with a gigantic glob of thick whipped cream covered in red berries. Underneath the pile of lost New Year's wishes is a layer of Biscoff, a spread made from English coffee biscuits. If you see a Waffle Love truck around town, you should treat it like the ice cream man and let your 10 year-old self run wild. read more

I saw the truck parked not very far from where I lived and I happened to be hungry so me and the dog walked over to check it out. I told the wife that I might be bringing a waffle back for lunch. I cut off a large piece to share with my wife and took my first ever bite of an $8 waffle. I made sure I had a piece with everything on it - waffle, whipped cream, a piece of strawberry and a raspberry. What happened next surprised me, I thought I heard angels singing! The waffle by itself was possibly the best waffle I've ever eaten in my life. The waffle, whipped cream, fresh strawberries and raspberries combination was absolutely wonderful and quite decadent. My 2 adult sons and I went to the one in Midvale, UT and the young girl who took our order was very pleasant. We ordered, sat down. We were the only 3 there, then 2 more people arrived and ordered after us. My sons' orders were brought out and we were told the other one will be out in a minute. I'm glad I told them to go ahead and eat. The other 2 people received their order. We got the young boy's attention, asked where my order was, he looked like he had no clue what we were talking about, asked the girl at the register, then he decides to bring me one in a take out box that had been sitting on the counter this whole time. It was all stuck to the box so I asked if he could remake it since it'd been sitting there awhile and was stuck. He said "that's what happens, it sticks to the box." OK, but I didn't order it to be in a box. He remade it and brought me a child size, about half the size I ordered and paid for. I let that go and ate...after my sons had eaten. On top of messing up the order, which happens, but the way it was handled, by giving me one that had been sitting, then replacing it with a child size, he never apologized. The waffle was good. I really liked the texture how its crunchy and soft on the inside. I didnt like the peaches and creme because it was basically some slices of peaches amd a load of whipped creme. Also bought the ducle de leche for my bf and it was wayy too sweet. This is more like a "diabetes waffles". The waffles itslef Is good but I would say this is more of quantity than a quality dessert. I've been wanting to give this food truck a try for a while. So I considered it Devine intervention when it was parked in Herriman (my home turf). I got the daily special, which was a chocolate stuffed waffle with whipped cream. We also got the red wonder (or something like that, I can't remember the actual name), which had a carmely kind of syrup, fresh raspberries and strawberries and whipped cream. The two were a little steep, $13 for two waffles. But when we got in the car and gave them a try..... WOWZA!!! They were crunchy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, so so so good! I order the strawberries and cream and sometimes I eat the strawberries and cream and then the waffle. The cream is made from scratch and is nice and sweet. The highlight is the waffle though. They are made with sugar pearls and probably a little taste of magic or heaven or something that makes them unreal.
