Waffles with whipped cream for lunch.. who am I, Lesley Knope? The correct answer is: I wish. Fellow sweet lovers will be a fan of Waffle's. Smack bang in the cutest street in Adelaide (Leigh St, unfortunately just off of dirt bag central Hindley), it's a waffle lover's delight. The menu isn't extensive and doesn't need to be: choose either Belgian or Leige waffle base, add cream, fruit, nuts and ice-cream. Bam. Lunch of winners. The banana and chocolate syrup combo on a leige waffle is hard to go past for my money, though it is ridiculously sweet, even for me, who prefers a nutella topping. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. There's also a smattering of non-sweet foods like your good old bacon & eggs on the menu, but really, why would you order b&e's at a waffle place? The smoothies are huge. I mean BIG, and also super sweet - there's no way on the green earth I would be able to top one off along with a waffle. My suggestion: come hungry, sit outside in the sunshine, order the banana and ice cream waffle and enjoy the mellow vibes.

Waffles, close one is Nutella and banana and the other is strawberry.

Great breakfast place, came here right when they opened and had a banana and Nutella waffle and a flat white. Wife had same thing except with strawberries and they were both seriously good waffles. Only thing I'm not used to is the ice cream on top, I'm not complaining at all its damn good but just not used to it. Flat white was tasty too but I don't think I've ever had a bad one of those. I'd come back for sure I'd I'm ever in Adelaide again, those waffles are worth it!

Exceeding all expectations. I need to admit immediately I am not a waffle connoisseur apart from those gorgeous waffle ice cream cones! I did not have any seriously high expectations at our recent Yelp unofficial get together but was VERY pleasantly surprised by the waffles from Waffles Waffle & Coffee (the name is self explanatory just in case you were wondering?! - except I think they also have non waffle breakfast items on the menus and smoothies/milkshakes as well!). Pretty much any sort of sweet waffle variation on the menu you could possibly want and the added benefit of being able to add extras like kiwi or strawberries or nuts etc. In other words if you desired you could create your own waffle wonderland! Not knowing how sweet or filling the waffles would be I chose a half serve of the cinnamon banana which had a perfect hit of sweetness - served obviously with cinnamon, banana, chocolate and ice cream. Sounds mega sweet but amazingly wasn't . Also impressively the half waffle was light as a feather with no cloyingly oily after taste which I imagined as a batter it might have. The waffles would make a perfect after dinner alternative to the pancake kitchen - just one small problem - they are not open after 6.00pm. Missed opportunity guys!

This was wonderful! Definitely the ONLY place in Adelaide to get waffles. I had the Banana & Cinnamon Waffle with Vanilla Ice cream. SO GOOD!!! Crunchy, soft, warm, fresh and not too sweet. The perfect waffle. The cafe was clean & interesting, the wall murals were fun. The staff were nice & the food came out fast even though students were wandering in & out for their daily waffle fix. The price was good too. Utterly delicious. I want to go live here!

What shall it be...Belgian or Liege Waffles? Either one will hit the taste buds with a vengeance leaving no trace. The main difference between the two and the easiest way to remember is - B is for bigger and L is for little and both are big and bigger once covered in your choice of topping. Wash it all down with a coffee, tea or smoothie if you can fit it in. Located in Leigh Street with its French/Creole, cobbled road atmosphere it's in a good location for those passing by looking for either a regular breakfast, a snack be it sweet or savoury waffles or dessert after exiting any of the nearby cafes and restaurants. One market not being targeted is the Hindley St late night hoards but perhaps there's a good reason for that but still an opportunity missed. There is plenty of seating but not over crowded in this cosy little cafe, the colour scheme is subtle and I really like the cute decal on the walls.

Strawberries and Cream waffle

You know when you think of waffles, what comes to mind? Hot, crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, drizzled with fresh fruit and oozing with chocolate sauce? Okay, so how do you feel after? I bit stuffed I bet! I'm here to change your mind on that stuffed, full, can't-possibly-breathe-it-hurts feeling! I had a lovely and refreshing waffle experience at this adorable little place, tucked away in a side street, in the midst of Adelaide's City. After looking at the menu, full of exciting waffle options (you're mouth will water, I promise!), I landed on the strawberries and cream full size waffle.. And before you ask, I already prepared myself by not eating lunch! When it arrived to the table, I was blown away by the size and presentation of this waffle beauty! Fresh strawberries - check! Fresh cream - check! And underneath it all, a big beautiful waffle. Now, here I am, to tell you that after I completed this baby, I was pleasantly surprised on how GOOD I felt! No stuffiness, no bloating! The waffle was light, fluffy, crispy on the outside and the toppings didn't make me regret my waffle choice! If you're looking for good service, beautiful scenery, savoury/sweet menu options and a waffle that makes you feel completely satisfied BUT light as a feather, then please make your way over to this lovely place. Enjoy!

Combination of kewi and strawberryabsolutely worth eating!

The menu is large and interesting enough with not too many "generic" options except the ones you want such as Chocolate Fondu for 2 or 4. I had a Banana, Peanut Butter, Cookies, Vanilla Custard, Creamy concoction in a jar which was topped with icecream very very delish and beautifully presented. My companions had waffles, ice-cream and a yummy chocolate and berry mousse/pudding. All were very pleased with their orders and there was a lot of "would you mind if I had a fork full?" going on. Coffee and desserts came out all together and our table was cleared in an appropriate amount of time after we had finished our plates. Being a group of 6 is probably a little too large for the small outdoor space on the sidewalk with round tables and various chair heights, but we made it work. The only down side to this spot is that the coffee is "good" not "awesome"

Luckily, a table had just left, with a quick clean of the table - we were seated. Decor - Candles! I love candlelit places at night, the chairs were also quite comfy, some places which have the same modern/sleek vibe to it like this place, have uncomfortable plastic or metal chairs, but we were seated in comfortable cushy bliss for your butt! We ordered - I had the Cherry Ripe Waffle and one of their 'house specialities' the St Louis Hot Chocolate' Waffles: I have to admit I was disappointed in the waffle, this is what pushed it down to 3 stars rather than 4. The waffle was warm, but it tasted like it had been reheated, or simply defrosted and stuck in a microwave. It wasn't crunchy or fresh, the texture was chewy and dry. I chose this dish because it mentioned white chocolate and almonds, it was presented on the plate, but the white chocolate tasted like melted white chocolate buttons from the local supermarket, too sugary and it hard almost hardened when I tried to scoop it up to put on my waffle. The 'French Vanilla Ice Cream' tasted distinctively like Bulla Vanilla ice cream. The cherries, and cherry glaze were delicious though. The Hot chocolate: Average more or less, it was a good hot chocolate, but I've had better in most other places, for a house special, again I was hoping for a bit more, but I might be a little harsh here, as my friend said he absolutely loved it. I'd order it again if I came here, and that is usually a good sign. They had free water available for patrons, in the water was such things as citrus; oranges, lemons, lychee, and strawberry, I thought that was a little fancy. It was a nice touch to the place. If I came here again, I'd avoid the waffles completely, as they were sub-par. But the venue is a nice place, with a positive atmosphere. Why no white hot chocolate? This makes me sad.

The service was cheerful and snappy and the passing life in Ebenezer Place was lively, lots of people seeming to know each other. There was a lot of meeting and greeting around the tiny restaurant entrance. Waiters politely dodged the impediments. Our snails came with proper escargot tongs in the most exquisite garlic and herb butter. The toasty French bread was a bit too crisp to soak up the butter but it was just as well. My friend had Croque Monsieur which was rich and wicked, bechamel sauce and cheese and a fried egg on top . He simply wolfed it down. My boned and butterflied trout with green beans took longer to eat and every morsel was a joy. The trout was nicely charcoal-seared on the skin side and very lightly cooked on top. The tastes and textures sang together in a light buttery sauce from the beans which were not too firm but just right. It was best trout I have ever had and I am still purring with pleasure.

Thank you for a delicious sandwich experience Jupiter, see you soon!

I saw a picture of the gin cured trout and knew that was what I had to order before I arrived. It was just so pretty! I was right, it was almost to pretty to eat. I couldn't bare digging into it without taking a few snaps. The trout was cured well. I feel like it could have been cured a little longer to have a deeper flavour. Maybe more salt and sugar was needed. But, that does not mean that it was not tasty! It was really lovely. The egg was poached well, crème fraîche was a great edition and lifted the dish. An added surprise was the sea greens. I really loved them. I think that not many people are used to them, but they are really tasty. The carrots were nice, but felt a little out of place. I think what the dish needed was a sauce. The crème fraîche was great, but something with a deeper flavour or seasoning. The rest of the menu looked great! I look forward to test more items. In fact, be sure to try out the coffee. I think we may have another great coffee destination in Adelaide. They offer a couple of filter options and cold drip. I am looking forward to watch how this business develops!

The food arrived fairly quickly, one ordered the hearty vegetable soup and another the roast pumpkin stack. I was really disappointed in my salad - it had no dressing or any flavours whatsoever. The freekah was bland, the salad greens were bitter and the carrot was just covered in fennel seeds. I added a tonne of salt and pepper but it didn't do much. My friend with the soup also had to add a large amount of salt to try and bring some flavour out. Apparently the pumpkin stack was good - the goats cheese look good on that.
