What I try and do is delete reviews that are no longer true as to their great service...it's my way of not bashing people but staying honest...or I don't review them at all. I will most definitely badly review places so I can warn people of terrible experiences. The good ones, I always try and report as well because we all want to know the bottom line on where to go. With this place I was nervous because with my pets I'm protective and picky. There was a wait to get in but the reviews made me do just that. I'm happy to report this establishment didn't disappoint. It's attractive for sure but that's not the deciding factor in any way. Aside from first visual impression which is above board as far as cleanliness and beauty...the first impression of the staff was also wonderful. They were knowledgeable and welcoming. The end result was a perfect series of cuts (I have multiple dogs of different breeds) and I loved that the first step in their spa day, which is a bath...is in an area where you can watch through a glass wall. It's clear the salon is run well and I'm personally not going to skimp on care and skill to go up the street to a chain establishment to save a few dollars for my dogs...who are most definitely family members. If you are concerned about safety..competence as well as final result and you aren't looking for a cheap fix...this place is perfect. They aren't over priced..but they aren't Walmart either. You get what you pay for and I'm very happy to have found this salon! read more

Stephanie is amazing and my dog loves her! With the recent price increase I need to say the prices have gotten out of control. We found out our short haired dog (no haircut) was being charged the same as her cousin, a golden retriever with a hair cut. Makes no sense. The receptionist has been downright mean to me on multiple occasions, expecting me to arrive within five minutes of the text- hard to do when I live 15 minutes away- and making sure I KNOW she expects me there sooner. I didn't receive the text she was ready one day and received a phone call berating me for not being there. We unfortunately had to take our dog somewhere else, I am ok paying for a good experience especially with someone as wonderful as Stephanie, but not one where a receptionist speaks down to me every visit. read more

Took my two disheveled springers here. The person taking us in went over what I would like for their cut since the last few grooms although good had gotten away from a standard springer look. It took a little longer than they thought but the wait was worth it. The dogs came out looking fantastic! read more

WAG grooming gets A plus ratings. I have 3 dogs and they come out looking perfect and the smell and feel so soft and fresh. No chemical smells like big chain groomers. The staff are on point for great service standards and so pleasant and helpful. Brittany especially has been so kind and helpful. My dogs love her. I highly recommend this spot for your dogs if you want them to have pleasant experience by caring dog groomers. 5 stars read more

This place is really nice inside. They have a small shop too to buy goodies and home decor which I thought was awesome. They even offered me wine/spirits for my stay. I'm not a huge fan of the tub set up, I think they're a little close to each other. I'm only rating this on the staff and interior and what I was offered. My dog didn't go in the tub and was afraid so unfortunately we had to leave un-bathed :( read more

Prices are arbitrary. When I asked how much my dog would be, the groomer thought about it for a second before deciding on $65. We pay $45 at the vet/groomer or $50 at Loyal Companion so this price is absurd. As I was leaving, a man with a dog the same size and style as mine (same weight, same fur type) was leaving. His price was $60. They are making things up as they go along. I'd have left a $20 tip for the very last minute service but I felt ripped off so I left $10. Chaos. It was ok when it was just me and my dog and they let a puppy run free but when it was 4 dogs and a free puppy, absolute chaos. And the line was moving crazy slow because instead of checking people in and out, the owner was taking pictures of the dogs and causing more chaos. I think she enjoyed it being crazy in there. I do not. I had to wait outside with my dog until she pulled it together. Groom. My dog looks fine. No better or worse than the next place. Overall. I appreciate them getting us in on short notice but we won't be back. Update.... I buy Paul Mitchell for my dog at TJ Maxx. It's not that fancy. Nobody touched or looked at my dog to know about his hair, temperament or underlying condition. (None) She literally decided on a price right there and then as he was in my arms. He's only 5 lbs. She didn't see his coat. There is nothing extra about this place that makes the crazy cost worth it. I'm sure the groomers at my vet can handle CPR and if not, they are at the vet. Just because groomers dont have to be certified doesn't mean they are not. That's simple fast talking. Just tried this place even though it looked more "high end" than I typically like. The staff was nice and the inside was designed really cool. Unfortunately my dogs hair cut was not the best we've received from other local groomers (it was really choppy). I might give them another try to see if it was just an off day. read more

I brought my dog there for a full grooming, and she came home with half of her fur trimmed short and the other half still long. I called them and sent pictures, and their response what that they didn't cut her hair at all! Really, so "grooming" now does not include a haircut? My dog is almost 11 years old and has been groomed quarterly her entire life. We moved into Salem, so I tried Wag hoping it would be our new groomer. Not. read more

We had a great experience at Wag! I like that they take appointments, even for self-grooming. Maria, the owner, did a great job making Vinny feel comfortable. Groomers were available to help out any way they can. My normally anxious boy, was actually calm. I'm really happy we found this place, and look forward to bringing back for his next spa day. read more

Update: I am going to tweak my review to a neutral 3-stars. I stand behind everything i wrote in my review above... however the website looks completely different on my wife's phone (despite being the same address) so there are two different versions of the website that are accessible to us. Mine has half the links broken, and missing the Rabies statement as described below. Her formatting looks completely different, has functioning links, and contains the Rabies paperwork requirement. Personally i wish these issues were flushed out before i came to visit, but understand if no one lets you know, there is no way for you to find out. That said, IF the correct version of the website is accessed, my complaints have been addressed. For those who somehow have access to the version i have been using- good luck. read more

I initially walked into the salon, to inquire about grooming my dog. I was instantly greeted by a friendly associate. She was kind enough to answer all my questions. I was nervous since I had been going to another groomer at another place for a long time, that had left. I was apprehensive about someone grooming my older lab with arthritis. I could'nt be more satisfied with the results. My groomer was Heather and she was great! Very kind and gentle with my boy, and even mentioned letting him rest in between grooming! His coat was soft and shiny, and he definitely is shedding less now! she even helped me get him in my car after! I can't say enough good things about this place! Great staff! I took my large dog there for a bath and blow dry. When I came to pick him up just before Christmas, he was looking out the window with a red reindeer bandana around his neck. He was soft and fluffy. Good prices, great staff, clean shop. I am looking into the other services they offer and we will be back! read more
