Emailed Tracey and scheduled my cat to go in and I just wanted a bath and hair cut. She said the $100 included ear cleaning, nail trimming, and cut. I drop off my cat and smells like the place hasn't been cleaned since the early 2000s. None of the staff were friendly and had rbf but I still had a positive attitude. They call me an hour and half later to let me know she's ready (I thought wow that was quick). I take her home and her nails are still long and her paws weren't even trimmed. My cat doesn't even smell like shampoo. Talk about scammers. read more

Please don't take your animals to this place. They abuse animals and have no remorse or take responsibility for it. I took my cat today Wednesday, January 13th, 2021 and my cat came out with serious injuries. When I looked at my cat the wounds were deep. The groomer took no responsibility for this and didn't seem to care. I took my cat immediately to the Veterinarian and they said that she needed stitches, as well stated that the wounds were fresh and looked like they were done with clippers. I beg you animal lovers out there to please don't take your animals to this groomer. Please see the pictures and judge for yourselves. Lately they have gone far downhill. I have been going to Top Knots and Tabbies for a long time and for the most part I had been happy with them. The last two times I went my dog had come home bleeding because of incompetence. Tracy has young kids who are learning working on the animals which I am not against but obviously they do not have the proper supervision. I will not be going back again and do not recommend anyone taking their pet there. read more

I recently moved to MA from NYC and have been looking for a small mom and pop shop to take my pup for grooming, as I like to support local businesses. I found this place through a google search and was quite excited to bring her. The first time I took her, we showed the groomer a picture of what we were looking for. Unfortunately, she came back far too short and her face misshaped, but I didn't complain as the hair will of course grow out. The next (and final) time I took her, we asked to keep her face a bit longer, but body short for the heat wave ahead. When I picked her up, she was clean and looking quite happy, however her hair was still far too long. I took her home, but after looking her over that evening I just wasn't pleased with the service. I called the next day to discuss how I didn't think her haircut was what I asked for (and suited for the summer months) and the girl was very rude on the phone. She didn't offer for me to bring the dog back to try to get it right. I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately my experience has not been anything similar to the services I received at my previous groomers. read more

For a place i trusted to take care of my pet while she was in their care, I am disgusted at what my poor dog went thru. I picked her up and took her home and she never moved from the position i put her in . Tried to stand her up and she couldnt. She couldnt relieve herself and her entire stomach was irritated and there was blood in a few spots all covered up with her sweater when i picked her up. My dog was unable to relieve herself and I had to take her to the vet and be treated. In all my years I would never expect someone to treat my dog this way and Im sick to my stomach thinking if its happened to her its happened to others with inexperienced groomers handling our dogs. So, this was a tough review. I've gone several times with my dog and cat. Cat comes out beautifully. I have a large breed dog who is a gentle giant. He is not a big fan of baths and typically needs some encouragement. Top knott's made me come back and get my dog, said he was being aggressive and refused to groom him. Shock is an understatement. I still bring the cat but the dog has been to another groomer which coax him with so called baby talk to get him in the tub. read more

The groomers were helpful, patient and understanding which was particularly important since not only was it my cat's first time being groomed but she's also a feral rescue!! I really wanted to like a small non chain local groomer. Unfortunately, my dog had scabs all down her spine two days after her grooming. I assume she was sensitive to whatever they used to brush her? She looked good when I picked her up but they told me she had attempted to escape. I had requested she not be put in a crate because she stresses out excessively. I was told upon pick up that they had left her on a table and she had chewed through the tie up and gotten off the table, out the little gate and was at the door when they realized. Why was she up on a table? They also seemed somewhat aggravated with my dog upon pick up. I am so pleased with the service I received today for my cat, he looks fantastic! My cat had a lion shave and bath and he looks and smells great! Pricing is very reasonable compared to the same services that I've received else where. Tracy and the staff are very friendly and put up with my constant calling to make sure my kitty was ok. Amazing experience. I've been to many groomers in the Boston area for my very curly golden-doodle and he has never come out as good has has here. They did exactly what I asked for. Most groomers will just do what they want even after you explain to them what you are looking for. They took the extra time to brush out any knots, instead of just cutting them, and ensured all areas were extremely clean. He came out show dog ready, and he's not a show dog. I could not wait to show him off! Most people that know him have stated they have never seen him look so good. Tracy and her girls do a great job. They are very compassionate, love animals and their rates are really good. I will definitely travel the 40 minutes to get him done here more often. I have nothing negative to say. I'm so excited to know that I actually have a competent groomer, after many years of going from one to another. read more

Very over priced. One time I was only 6 minutes late and they were going to charge me $20 extra. They used to charge me almost $70 every time I went for my small dog who only weighs 10 pounds. Only like 2 people who worked here were nice but the rest were pretty rude. read more

She's rather aggressive with other dogs so I always had to make my appointments early before other dogs got there or the last, after all the others have left. A big inconvenience! No complaints ! My puppy smells great! The haircut was just what I requested & they were pretty quick. Everyone was really nice and made sure I understood things when I asked. We have big (80 pound) neutered male rescue hound, who endured significant trauma and abuse before his adoption. He's 4 years old, and is scared of his own shadow. Top Knots & Tabbies is the only place we'd consider getting his nails done/grooming needs. The staff is quick, efficient, professional, and sensitive. They were just as good with our dear departed hound, who was fragile and well taken care of by the groomers at Top Knots until his death at age 16. We'd never go anywhere else. read more
