You have to get one of the big shopping carts out the parking lot yourself. The produce section is huge and loaded with the freshest produce. The prices look bigger than Kroger put on the same level as Publix. This place is essentially an international market mixed with a farmer's market .The seafood section is humongous. I got some sushi, grilled Markel, and chicken fried rice from the korean section. In the butcher section, I got pork belly, goat, lamb, chicken wings, and pork shoulder. All the food was amazing.

I purchased a pack of tofu along with some other items on March 11. I open the fridge a few days later on March 15, finally ready to prepare the tofu, just to see that the exp date on the pack was March 10. This picture was taken March 15 upon this discovery. I meant to update this review a while ago. I just can't spend money here anymore knowing that I'm liable to accidentally purchase old products. As customers, we should not have to be this vigilant at a grocery store... it's ridiculous.

It's usually just walk in unless you get a large amount. Since it was mother's day weekend we decided to reserve one of their "sacks". The rate we got for the "sack" was $4.99/lb. Each sack weighed different. I believe the regular price was $5.49/lb. Still a very fair price for the quality and the size of the crawfish. For our 36lb sack there was probably 15-20 dead crawfish. I would say that's not too bad. It was fun for the kids to see the critters and chase them around with them for a bit. We also got some blue crab. The males and females were priced differently and paid per lb after they were bagged. Another thing is that they do offer ice for the crawfish but I forgot to check if they put it in the bag and they forgot. Luckily they were still fine when we got back to my parents house 1hr away! They also had tanks full of other types of live seafood like shrimp, fish, lobster.. etc. Overall, amazing place to find fresh seafood in bulk!

Since then, we've come back multiple times and tried a variety of their seafood, including the Santa Barbara uni, snow crab legs, and lobster. Everything has been incredibly fresh each time. It is quality you can really taste. What I love most is how consistent they are. Whether you're picking up something simple or splurging a bit, the freshness and selection never disappoint. This has officially become our go-to seafood market for takeout, and I can't recommend it enough if you're looking for fresh seafood without the fuss.

We love the Argentina Reds!.. succulent & sweet, comparable to lobster. With the Apalachicola coming in at a strong second. The shrimp price per pound is as reasonable as you will find including the small fee to devein and pack on ice for you. I love trying new recipes with the fresh fish and salmon. I've purchased and prepared entrees with fish I had never heard of such as the Sheephead. Delicious! They even have a recipe book on site that I pre planned a meal with. I have never been disappointed with anything I have gotten here and the folks are the best; very hospitable going above and beyond. I highly recommend and have went as far as giving shrimp to folks so they can taste for themselves CC's is worth their patronage. What they do not sale fresh on the 3 days they are open, they flash freeze and sale for 10% off which I love so I can always have something for dinner. I have included photos of some of my epic meals prepared with my CC's purchases.

They sell pickled vegetables in open buckets with no lid, in a refrigerated section that has black gunk stuck to its walls. It's just..... no. I hate that I don't have pictures to back up this review but the health safety practices in here are definitely questionable. Call me whatever you like, but it really irks me going somewhere and no one even bothers to try and speak English with you, nor refer you to someone who does if they can't. The service is generally poor, and the employees will act like you don't exist if you don't look like you speak Spanish (I'm sorry to say it but it's true). My [Black] husband does, and their attitude changed immediately as soon as they realize he's hispanic which is CRAZY to see in real time. They have 1000 security guards standing around that are constantly watching over every move... it's simply unfriendly and quite frankly, hostile. I just never like my experience here and it doesn't change each time I try to go back. I love a good international market. But my experience here was lowkey (and unexpectedly) dark and moody. I was ready to go not long after I walked in. I'd recommend City Farmers for produce and produce only. They truly have the best avocado prices in the area. I'll give them that.
