My family and I make the trip to Legoland yearly and we don't have to do too much before hand…read more. book room, buy tickets, rent car etc etc. However this past June we became Furparents to an adorable anxiety ridden codependent dog who can't be alone for long. Granted she is much better then when we first got her but we've already been told she has too much anxiety for daycare with tons of dogs. We have to figure out who's going to watch her now that we basically didn't get approved for the boarding services. I did alot of research and stumbled across Simply sensational and the constant communication even before I agreed to ask for their services made me feel extremely comfortable. I let them know we needed a sitter for one day , a couple of hours while we where at legoland and it was so easy to book with them. We agreeded on a time and a handoff location. The moring of we where so nervous for her and how she would react, would she run away, would she bite, would she howl all day for us? The complete opposite actually, our feelings where hurt because when I say we handed our Emi over and she walked away and didn't even look back, literally did not look back!!! lol. Off to legoland we go I suppose, not to long after we received an update from Debroah on Emi on how sweet she was and what a good dog she was. and throughout the day we received updates and pictures on what silly and sweet girl she is lt made us proud of being her parents, considering where the level of her anxiety was when we first adopted her to feeling secure in herself to be with strangers and feel safe with them. I was so pleased I made the right choice to go small and independent business. When it was time to pick up Emi several hours later we weren't even sure she'd want to come home with us but she was indeed happy to see us and we heard story on her walks in the neighborhood and how well she got along with all the new dogs she met and it was the start of what I hope to be a long standing relationship of our new dog sitters whenever we are in San Diego. I speak highly about them to everyone who asked how our springbreak and who took care of Emi? I urge you to give them a chance, you won't regret it nor will your dog, and my only warning is your dog may NOT want to go home with you at the end of the day Payment: cash or Zelle

We hired Dogs on the Run to have our dog be part of our wedding day in June 2025, and I truly…read morecannot recommend them enough!! Especially our handler, Misty! From the very beginning, Misty was incredible. She carved out time weeks before the wedding for us to meet each other and talk about our dog's (Louie) temperament, our expectations, and the full game plan for the big day. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing she was prepared and genuinely cared about making everything go smoothly. On the wedding day, she was amazing. She arrived early to the Airbnb and was able to get used to walking and handling Louie. She walked Louie down the aisle, handled him and helped him greet guests during the ceremony and cocktail hour, and kept everything completely stress-free for us. She kept us updated via text throughout the day, and when it was time to drop him back off at our Airbnb in the evening, she sent photos and updates so we knew he was settled and happy. She even left us the sweetest wedding gift, which was such a thoughtful touch. Misty was kind, professional, organized, and clearly loves what she does. We are SO grateful for her and would absolutely book Dogs on the Run again. Highly, highly recommend!

I compared them to other animal boardings close to me. I spoke with my husband on each and he agreed with me, DOTR was the best sounding. We reached out, told them about our beautiful 5 yr old Great Dane. They did the research within the company to find a best fit. Carter came out to our home after some communication. He LOVED our dog, she loved him. Carter and his wife were hooked and accepted her with open arms. The day to leave was here. She got a bit anxious seeing our luggage. My husband drove her a short distance over and dropped her off. She loved it, and they were so loving right back. We had updates regularly, both in email and pictures. It looked like she was on vacation. We are booking again for Thanksgiving this year. Unfortunately, Carter is not available, but they connected us with Madeline. We already know that this is going to be a great experience for Madeline and our pup (6 yr old at that time).

By far, the best place to take your dog for urgent care or oncology needs (if you see Dr. Proulx)…read more I've been taking my dog here for just over a year for quarterly consultations with Dr. Proulx. My 11 year old dog has a history of very aggressive MCTs, and Dr. Proulx has helped us put him on a fantastic regimen that has prevented any new tumors from appearing for 15 months, while minimizing dosages for steroids. Dr. Proulx is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and kind. He answers all of my questions thoughtfully, even when I call from home because I'm a nervous dog mom. We just took my dog to the urgent care this weekend, and it was a great experience. I called in advance to say I was coming up, and they were able to see him right away. They had great bedside manner, thoroughly explained our options for next steps, proactively provided cost transparency, and offered follow up appointments. They also helped me prioritize what was needed so I could decide what to schedule with my pcp to save some money - it's clear they aren't trying to take advantage of you! We saw Dr. Vezeleva, and I can't recommend her enough. When we were done speaking with the care staff, I asked the front desk if I could take my dog to the car to wait while they filled a prescription for me - they immediately brought him out so he could wait comfortably, and they even met me at my car to get me when everything was ready so that the end process as seamless as possible.

Dog was kept in the facility for the following 3 days. Went for a visit and was asked if he had anything wrong with his paw. Answer was of course "NO". They explained he had swelling on his paw and that rinsing with warm water would take care of it. They made no mention of embolisms, clots, restraints etc. When we took him back 5 days later with his skin falling off, they tried blaming it on some random "embolism" event. Nothing mentioned of this previously and they obviously didnt bother evaluating or treating for this? In my opinon the injury was from restricting blood flow "tourniquet effect "to the limb based on the circular mark on his paw with damage and swelling below that line. An external pressure injury. In any case, he was in their care when the injury happened. There is nothing showing anyone checked bandages for pressure, ties for being applied appropriately, or that anyone checked his extremities for proper circulation. I believe the "embolism" was nothing but an excuse for their own failures inserted into the record 5 days later. Many months of care, cleaning, changing bandages and preventing him from licking his wound. A full time job. My poor dog still has difficulty walking almost a year later. Sent a demand letter to VCA requesting refund of money I paid for the surgery and other medical treatment. Letter went unanswered. Their insurance company contacted me asking for receipts, which I provided. They then did nothing. I finally filed suit in small claims court. No answer from VCA. Court date pending. nothing explaining their role in this. Filed complaint with licensing board for investigation into their actions and ethics. I came across Woofies and from the first phone call to now (a year later) this place has been WONDERFUL. My first impression was they CARE. Caleb spoke to me on the phone for 30 minutes about all the questions I have and was empathetic regarding my anxiety about finding a new groomer. At the end of the call I booked an appointment and I'm so glad I did! Fast forward to almost a year later now that we've been using Woofies and they've always been incredibly accommodating, communicative and professional. We are so glad to have found kiwis grooming home! At the beginning we used Alexis who was phenomenal and kind but she moved so now we use Michelle and are SO thankful we have her as Kiwis groomer. Michelle pays close attention to detail and loves kiwi, you can tell she loves what she does. I recommend all my friends use Woofies! We don't like standard salons where you drop your pet off and pick up with how tiny kiwi is and she's used to mobile grooming so this was perfect for us! The convenience of them coming to your home and bringing our pet out to the van is PRICELESS.

Welcome Woofie's of Carlsbad!…read more This family business provides a variety of pet services. We utilized their mobile grooming for not one, but two dogs. I scheduled the service with the owner over the phone who got me started on their booking platform. My female dog has a wash and go type of coat and she was booked for a sanitary trim. Our male dog has a thick coat and was scheduled for a full service treatment. Both came out looking their best thanks to Alexis. The entire process from beginning to end was smooth. The office followed up on our services after the session. You can just tell the team at Woofie's wants you to have a positive experience. This was our first time using a mobile grooming service. The mobile van was new, clean, and well stocked with supplies and treats. The dogs liked it and I think that is what really matters. Time to book our next session for the holidays... #WoofiesofCarlsbad #MobileGroomers #ADogsLife #YelpEliteNCSD
