    Hope

Labrador Rescuers is an incredible organization to adopt from. These dogs come from shelters and families who've made the difficult decision to relinquish. We've adopted Hope who's owner trusted them with her care. Hope was completely evaluated by their Vet, treated for Heartworm, skin issues, spayed and a knee that required surgery. After we submitted are application it was our turn to evaluated. We were interviewed and our home/yard checked to make sure it was a safe place. As in every happy ending, Hope has found her furever home. Dogs that find themselves in the care of Labrador Rescuers are truly blessed.

Labrador Rescuers was wonderful to work with when rescuing the newest member of our family (a 3 month old Labradoodle puppy)! They were quick to reply to our application, and we were able to set up the home visit right away. The foster mom (Sandie) who did the home visit was fantastic. She was very nice, the pups really loved her, and she went above and beyond to be helpful throughout the adoption process and afterwards. It is clear to me that Labrador Rescuers wants to find homes for the pups, and the fosters really care about the well-being and happiness of the dogs. We found the process simple and straightforward. We even recommended them to one of our closest friends, and their family also adopted a puppy.

We are very grateful to Labrador Rescuers of San Diego for allowing us to adopt a chocolate lab named Trace. They were very thorough and couldn't have been any easier to work with. We were pretty much contacted within about a week or so of filling out the application and then a short time later a home visit was scheduled. Not long after we were scheduled for a meet and greet and confirmed the pup we'd been looking for was going to be ours!! We had a good amount of communication between ourselves and the foster which really made the transition seamless. The foster was also very helpful with tips and guidance from her experience which we really appreciated never having adopted a pet thru any organization. I would definitely recommend Labrador Rescuers of San Diego to adopt a lab! We are so happy we did!!

We adopted the most wonderful 3 year old chocolate named Trace a few weeks ago from Lab Rescuers. The process was thorough and quick. The foster parents of Trace shared everything they knew about him and they were spot on. I'd highly recommend adopting a pup from them and if not ready to adopt yet, donating to the organization is a great way to make sure they are able to continue saving Americans favorite dogs

I can not say enough about the rescue. They are by far the best of all time. Rare to find a rescue that is 100 percent volunteers and all money goes to the dogs. We had our first rescue Clair who was a senior we rescued and gave a good last few years to. She brought us so much love joy. After losing her we took some time before adopting again. This time with changes in our life we decided to go with a younger dog. We adopted Sunshine and she is amazing! The rescue did so much to ensure it was a perfect match for her as much as for us. We are very supportive of this organization and can not recommend them enough. Go to their annual Gala it is a blast and for such a good cause. Thank you for all the love and support you all give these beautiful fur babies.

I had such a wonderful experience adopting from Labrador Rescuers. The entire process was professional and organized. Our puppies foster mom gave her such a solid start. I love that the fosters take the time to give detailed updates on their website. I highly recommend adopting from Labrador Rescuers!

We love labs, but we knew we did not want to buy from a breeder when so many animals already need homes. We completed the online application and met with someone to check out our home and find out the characteristics of the dog that would fit with us. You may not find your dog immediately, but perfect matches take time. We thought we would get an older dog first and then a puppy. Turns out, there was a 5 month old puppy that matched the energy we were looking for. Our foster gave us a wealth of information and watched Molly interact with us to make sure we were a good fit. We received all of her medical records and an honest report of her behaviors. They really do want to make sure the dogs are going to people who will be best for them. We are so pleased with our girl and we cannot believe how lucky we were to find her.

We came into a difficult situation when a deployed "friend" left us with their new puppy. We ended up taking care of Sully but due to the surprise and not being prepared for puppy responsibility, we decided to rehome him. I wanted to go with an organization that is educated on his breed and his needs. Trish and the organization was amazing from the intake process to really learning about Sully. So grateful to have gone through this organization because sully was so taken care of.

Wonderful organization. Application, interview and home inspection process was simple. They really want to make sure to fit the right dog with you and your family. We are so happy with the 1yr old lab that we adopted from lab rescuers and when we are ready we will definitely reach out to them again to add another lab to our pack.

Labrador rescuers came through for us yet again! We adopted Nala a little over three months ago and recently had the privilege of adopting Charlie to complete our canine family. This rescue has been nothing but accommodating, professional, caring, and sensitive to our needs as dog parents. Throughout the whole process, they have been diligent in being the very best advocates for the dogs entrusted to their care. They truly love and care for these dogs as they do their own. Communication is fluid amongst the volunteers to ensure the best outcome for the adopters as well as the dogs. Not certain about sharing names of the amazing volunteer foster folks we were privileged to meet and work with but you all know who you are and you're all nothing short of amazing!! Thank you!!

We adopted our Clover from Labrador Rescuers on 11/8/23. She has been a great addition to our family. The LR team did a wonderful job of screening us and giving all the details in regards to Clover's history and behavioral traits. In addiiton, when I brought her to my local vet - she was so impressed with the care and expense that had been spent on Clover. She had never seen such a thorough workup and complicated spay procedure on a "rescue" dog. Thank you LR for doing so much for these wonderful dogs - giving them another chance at happiness! You are the best!

9 years ago, we adopted the most amazing English Lab from Labrador Rescuers, Charlie. Every day with him filled our hearts with joy and love. In August 2024, our beautiful boy passed and our hearts broke. The sadness was debilitating, and our once joyous selves yearned for Charlie. 6 months passed, and we slowly returned to Lab Rescuers to see all the fur babies and started the process again since so much time had passed. 3 weeks ago, we adopted our beautiful puppy, Maverick and feel our family is complete once again. We are so impressed with the people of the organization! People like Bobbi, Trish, Michele and Desiree truly volunteer because the dog is at the forefront. Labrador Rescuers is an A+++ organization who works very hard to find the right dog for the right family. We will always turn to Labrador Rescuers when adding to our family. Thank you Lab Rescuers so much for all the hard work, patience and love you give to these beautiful dogs!!

This includes orthopedic surgery, dentistry, ultrasound, laser therapy, preventative medicine, digital radiology, diagnostic internal medicine and routine care. My dog developed a skin growth on the outside of his leg that needed surgery. Initially I figured this was an easy fix. Just schedule the procedure then take my sweet boy home. Not so much, unless money is no object for you. The quote I received (from my local vet) shocked me. No way could I afford this. So began my exhaustive search. After many weeks I found Companion Animal Hospital. When I called them to ask for a quote they couldn't have been nicer and more helpful. Immediately they thought their price would be competitive however they needed to see my dog in person to verify. Upon arriving the receptionist and technician were very friendly and knowledgeable about dogs. I could tell every employee was genuinely an animal person. We went into a room right away and the appointment went really well. Both my dog Bear and myself genuinely liked Dr Garvey which in my book is a huge deal. Since my dog suffers from anxiety at the vet. She was very informative about answering all my questions and explaining what needed to be done. After the appointment I received a quote for the needed surgery and was completely relieved to see the price was four times less than the original quote at the other vet. So needless to say my dog received his surgery here, was in and out the same day with no problems or complications. His growth was benign so no worries about cancer, hallelujah. We returned a few weeks later for his suture removal. This was very quick and my dog was rewarded with the removal of the dreaded cone. I can't say enough good things about all of the staff here and Dr. Garvey. Thank you for saving my dog because essentially that is what happened. It may not have been life threatening at the time, however if I hadn't found you all then his growth would have kept getting worse. Potentially turning into a life threatening situation. I'm very thankful to everyone at Companion Animal Hospital and will sing your praises to everyone I know.

He was taken to the back for about 20 minutes, and when the staff returned, they told us they couldn't trim his nails because he was "being difficult" and "trying to bite." This was completely out of character for him. He could be stubborn, but he was a gentle, loving dog. When we brought him home, I noticed he was wheezing, but at the time I didn't think much of it. Within a few days, we were rushing him to urgent care at 1 a.m. in Poway because he was gasping for air, his tongue turning blue. I truly thought he was going to die in my arms on that terrifying drive. The vet told use his throat was very irritated, He was diagnosed with tracheal collapse - an injury we could do nothing to reverse. He suffered for the last month of his life before he ultimately passed away. This was the direct result of whatever happened in that back room, while he was in their care. The negligence that took place in that back room caused permanent damage and cost our dog his life. We are devastated. Please think very carefully before trusting this place with your pet.

Hello, My dog, who is now resting in a better place, and is…read morein other reviews for grooming places etc.... Ava. I believe I should have written Fuzzy Feet Dog Rescue and asked to be a foster mother temporarily instead of jumping the gun. They were helpful when I met them at PetSmart off College in Oceanside, CA on Sunday when they have rerecurring adoption events outside. It is a great starting set up and their accommodations intertwined with PetSmart really made me feel as though I was going off on the right foot with a new puppy pal, who I named Bella. She is approx. 4 months old and she was a stray in Mexico, from what I was told, and I did not take into consideration whether I would be the one to be able to mother my two children and take her to her training because she really is worth it. She is amazing, adorable, LOVING! dog. She wanted my love every single day whether I was stressed or not she managed to do better than I did some days. I really feel as though I let her down by not being able to keep her because I was able to get her to walk around outside without trying to run up inside the Condo right away, which she did try to do for the first few days. Everyone interested in going to the humane society should know there is a difference between a stray dog that is found in North County or San Diego County for a day walking around or two, versus a dog who has had to fend for themselves from such a young and early age. Fuzzy Feet really helps these dogs and I can see that they give them the best they can and that is so much more than most places or a humane society who I can see putting them down because in the past they had put down a dog of mine who was 9 months old that had gotten out for less than 24 hours and they had already quarantined my animal and told me to pay for it or they have to put them down. Rescues like Fuzzy Feet Dog Rescue I really appreciate, and they also are once again like I said, linked with PetSmart in the sense that they will give you tons of coupons for free doggie day care day, free one on one training, free vet exam at participating Banfield, and tons of coupons within the store. My heart was empty after losing my dog of 14 years and I realized this was not the answer, but I do advocate for this rescue and what they are doing. I wish that they will provide seeking dog adopters with medication lists that the dog is on and that way you do not have to find out the hard way in your home that they have worms. lol. Puppys get them a lot and I realize this, granted my dog I had before never had them, but she also was never a starving stray and I know they are doing an excellent job. Here are some pictures of Bella in the car, and in the home just relaxing and being better behaved than my dog was for 14 years in the car, and she was twice as small. I did not want a full refund as it was not part of the contract but that is what they gave me. I appreciate that but I also wanted to donate to them more things I have, and I did not feel as though they were interested. Dogs from Mexico can have anxiety issues and whine for no reason and lead to chewing etc., more so than an average puppy. Bella is worth it if I did not have my work from home and Motherhood, I would have been able to do all the things she needed. She is an amazing, adorable, and a sweetheart and I pray for and her and all the dogs there with FFDR and I hope that they get adopted soon but I can say this dog Bella she responded to her name after a couple days she ate when it was time and then left it and she relaxed in the car. Thank you again FFDR. My only ask or constructive comment(s) would be to please get them tagged (it is also $15.00/fifteen dollars right now for chipping your dog at SDHS) and to take them established to a vet in San Diego County instead of over the border, and make sure that if they are on a deworming schedule I would have liked to know. Also, the paperwork had her beginnings of regular vaccinations except for the Rabies vaccine even though she was from Mexico and a stray and was living with other rescues and to help the adopter not have those fees and be able to take them to training right away without having to worry about the chipping and rabies vaccine. Bella was retreated twice in my home as well as I was concerned about her spaying job since I could not take her to the same vet as the one she was spayed at, I would not have been able to use the PetSmart coupon for free Banfield Exam and establishment of care without having to pay for the Rabies and Chipping later on, but her blue scars from it were raised and worrisome.
