I am writing to formally address the circumstances under which my dog came into your possession and to request his immediate return. One of your volunteers or representatives (Kelly barrios )contacted me and persistently requested that I give my dog to her personally, stating that she wanted to keep him. During this interaction, I made it explicitly clear that I did not need to rehome my dog and that, if she decided she no longer wanted him, I would take him back without issue. She affirmatively stated that she wanted to keep him It has since come to my attention that this individual did not retain my dog as represented and that he was instead surrendered to your rescue under false pretenses. I did not consent to surrender my dog to the rescue, nor did I sign any documents transferring ownership or relinquishing my rights. As such, my dog was wrongfully given to your organization based on misinformation and misrepresentation. I remain the lawful owner of my dog and am formally requesting his immediate return. Please contact me as soon as possible to arrange a prompt resolution. I hope to resolve this matter cooperatively and without further escalation. Thank you for your attention to this issue, and I look forward to your response. Sincerely He was brought in yesterday or today from the information I have

We adopted Buddy (Randy) after agreeing to foster him. He was a rescue and after one night we were in love with him and he with us. He is the most loving dog ever and a joy to have in our lives. BFK was right there with daily calls regarding his adoption and how they could help. Marti and Lauren were "angels" as far as we are concernef. Jackie, Jack, and Buddy Ludwig

I would NOT do business with this rescue. My friend and her daughter are heart broken and want their dog back. My friend used to work in vet med with a person who is a part of this rescue, Kelly Barrios. Kelly had a dog that passed away. It was a bishon too and looked like my friend's dog. My friend had no reason to give up her and her daughter's dog "Crypto" but, because of her big, caring heart, she was willing to lend her to Kelly as a trial basis to see if the dog would help her. Kelly had been texting and asking my friend for Crypto for almost 2 weeks asking for her dog. My friend told Kelly repeatedly that she would take the Crypto back if things didn't work out. She didn't transfer ownership to Kelly. My friend showed me many text messages from Kelly that she really wanted the dog and that she just needed her husband's approval to have the dog in her home because they had 2 other dogs living there too. Again, my friend was emphasizing that she would be more than happy to take Crypto back. Long story short, an hour after she dropped off her dog "Crypto" at Kelly's house, she contacted Kelly to see how he was doing and that she'd come and get him if it wasn't working out. Kelly told her that she gave the dog to a rescue already and that it was with a new foster. My friend was utterly surprised! I was with my friend when she called Kelley to ask for the dog back. She asked Kelly to make it right and give the dog back to her because my friend was trying to help Kelly out of the goodness of her heart. She wasn't trying to give away her dog. I went with my friend back to Kelly's house right away where she dropped off Crypto to simply ask for him back and they did not answer the door. Kelly was not being cooperative and actually ended up blocking my friend on her phone and on social media after my friend said she was going to go to the police. She ust asked Kelly to make things right and give Crypto back. Some of her friends who knew Kelly and were also friends with her on social media tried reaching out to Kelly as well and she blocked them too. My friend and I went to a local shelter to try and locate the dog and ask for any information and assistance that they could give her in finding Crypto. We also went to animal control and spoke with them and they referred us to the police department to report the issue. The police got a hold of Kelly and spoke with her and she still hasn't returned the dog to my friend. A report has been filed with the police. Kelly took Crypto under false pretenses. She was supposed to take care of the dog and NOT give the dog away. Who knows...maybe she even sold the dog? Please help if you can. My friend and her daughter just want their Crypto back. After doing some research, my friend found out that Kelly is associated with and/or runs this particular bishon dog rescue. My friend tried contacting the rescue multiple times and they have NOT responded to her and it's been a days now since Crypto was taken. As a dog owner myself with 2 dogs, one of which my son got from a rescue, I would NOT do business with Kelly or this rescue! Please help my friend in getting "Crypto" back if there's any way that you know how to get him back. My friend has been taking good care of Crypto over the years, getting him groomed every 2 weeks and having routine medical check ups. Her and her daughter's other dog recently passed away a couple weeks ago so this was an additional unexpected blow to them thinking that they were helping Kelly through her own grieving process but, in reality, she took Crypto and gave it away instead. Please help them to get their Crypto back if theres anyway that you of that can help them. Maybe you personally know Kelly and ask her to give him back to his rightful owner. They just want Crypto back. Thanks for your help and God bless you #justiceforcrypto

Marti and her team is always fantastic! This is the fourth dog we have had through Bichon Furkids. My six kids have thoroughly enjoyed these wonderful dogs and I'm so grateful to the organization for all of the support. They're always just a phone call or email away and that is really handy, particularly when you are new to the process. Everybody is wonderful ! James Joseph La Habra California

BFKR is awesome! I appreciated the thorough & thoughtful process to make sure I and my home were a good fit. I am so very grateful for the wonderful rescue they found for me. I say that as he is sitting on my lap patiently awaiting me to put down my phone & begin interacting wit

I know he's not a Bichon, but I adopted this precious pup from this group. He has my heart.

I adopted Frankie from this organization, and I highly recommend it. The foster was great (Elizabeth), and the group is very conscientious in general. They just followed up with me today to see how he is doing. He is now almost six months old and is doing great!

Before the actual adopting day, she would send you pictures of your puppy to keep you updated. Truthfully, she and how Art and paw animal rescue is ran, should be an example of how all the animal rescues should be. I adopted my puppy from a group of 9 puppies and she knew everything about each and every single one of them. One thing I appreciate about her is, she doesn't get motivated by money but rather she truly cares for the dogs and want them to find the perfect home. She really takes the time to find the perfect home for each dog! You will not regret adopting! During my interview, I was asked a series of questions that felt unexpectedly accusatory and insensitive. I was already carrying a great deal of guilt and heartache after the disappearance of my cat, Jasper, yet the conversation left me feeling blamed rather than supported. I understand and respect that rescue groups want to ensure their animals go to safe and loving homes, but empathy for the humans trying to provide those homes is equally important. Unfortunately, that compassion was missing in my experience. As someone with a busy schedule, I also regret spending half a day traveling to and from their facility only to be made to feel unworthy during the application process. For those looking to adopt, I highly recommend exploring other compassionate and reputable organizations such as Smittens Rescue, Frosted Faces, Rancho Coastal Humane Society, or SPOT (Saving One Pet at a Time). Spare yourself the discouragement I felt--especially if you're still grieving a pet--and consider adopting from a group that treats both animals and people with kindness and understanding.

Hello, My dog, who is now resting in a better place, and is…read morein other reviews for grooming places etc.... Ava. I believe I should have written Fuzzy Feet Dog Rescue and asked to be a foster mother temporarily instead of jumping the gun. They were helpful when I met them at PetSmart off College in Oceanside, CA on Sunday when they have rerecurring adoption events outside. It is a great starting set up and their accommodations intertwined with PetSmart really made me feel as though I was going off on the right foot with a new puppy pal, who I named Bella. She is approx. 4 months old and she was a stray in Mexico, from what I was told, and I did not take into consideration whether I would be the one to be able to mother my two children and take her to her training because she really is worth it. She is amazing, adorable, LOVING! dog. She wanted my love every single day whether I was stressed or not she managed to do better than I did some days. I really feel as though I let her down by not being able to keep her because I was able to get her to walk around outside without trying to run up inside the Condo right away, which she did try to do for the first few days. Everyone interested in going to the humane society should know there is a difference between a stray dog that is found in North County or San Diego County for a day walking around or two, versus a dog who has had to fend for themselves from such a young and early age. Fuzzy Feet really helps these dogs and I can see that they give them the best they can and that is so much more than most places or a humane society who I can see putting them down because in the past they had put down a dog of mine who was 9 months old that had gotten out for less than 24 hours and they had already quarantined my animal and told me to pay for it or they have to put them down. Rescues like Fuzzy Feet Dog Rescue I really appreciate, and they also are once again like I said, linked with PetSmart in the sense that they will give you tons of coupons for free doggie day care day, free one on one training, free vet exam at participating Banfield, and tons of coupons within the store. My heart was empty after losing my dog of 14 years and I realized this was not the answer, but I do advocate for this rescue and what they are doing. I wish that they will provide seeking dog adopters with medication lists that the dog is on and that way you do not have to find out the hard way in your home that they have worms. lol. Puppys get them a lot and I realize this, granted my dog I had before never had them, but she also was never a starving stray and I know they are doing an excellent job. Here are some pictures of Bella in the car, and in the home just relaxing and being better behaved than my dog was for 14 years in the car, and she was twice as small. I did not want a full refund as it was not part of the contract but that is what they gave me. I appreciate that but I also wanted to donate to them more things I have, and I did not feel as though they were interested. Dogs from Mexico can have anxiety issues and whine for no reason and lead to chewing etc., more so than an average puppy. Bella is worth it if I did not have my work from home and Motherhood, I would have been able to do all the things she needed. She is an amazing, adorable, and a sweetheart and I pray for and her and all the dogs there with FFDR and I hope that they get adopted soon but I can say this dog Bella she responded to her name after a couple days she ate when it was time and then left it and she relaxed in the car. Thank you again FFDR. My only ask or constructive comment(s) would be to please get them tagged (it is also $15.00/fifteen dollars right now for chipping your dog at SDHS) and to take them established to a vet in San Diego County instead of over the border, and make sure that if they are on a deworming schedule I would have liked to know. Also, the paperwork had her beginnings of regular vaccinations except for the Rabies vaccine even though she was from Mexico and a stray and was living with other rescues and to help the adopter not have those fees and be able to take them to training right away without having to worry about the chipping and rabies vaccine. Bella was retreated twice in my home as well as I was concerned about her spaying job since I could not take her to the same vet as the one she was spayed at, I would not have been able to use the PetSmart coupon for free Banfield Exam and establishment of care without having to pay for the Rabies and Chipping later on, but her blue scars from it were raised and worrisome.
