I randomly found this service when I moved to Miami few months ago. I work 12 hour shifts and needed someone to walk my boys and feed them dinner as I get home late. My boys love their walker, lol, sometimes I think more than me. I've sneaked into my dog cam a few time and they are so excited every time she comes in. My regular pet sitter was unavailable when I went out of town in September, so I went to Yelp to find a trusted partner to care for my beasts in my absence. Waggy Tail was very easy to work with - they responded to me right away and had availability during the time I would be away. They have two options; a free video walk through or a $20 in home visit to review details with the caregiver. I opted for in person and enjoyed meeting Michelle in person before entrusting her with my cats' care. Michelle updated the app with photos and a report for each visit. Unfortunately, I wasn't checking email so I didn't see the notifications that she was updating the app. However, when I got home, I did see photos of my cats looking good with a little report on what happened during the visit. Waggy Tails is not cheap! The stated price is for 2 animals; there is an additional charge for each extra pet. The price is also double if you want 2x per day visits. However, the care was comprehensive - Michelle had no problem pilling my one cat that needs a daily medication and also handled all of the different food requests and feline pickiness with no problem. I would definitely use Waggy Tail again! They definitely remove a piece of travel stress by taking excellent care of your pets! read more

I hired this despicable service and the "sitter" I hired to stay for the duration of my dinner had left my dog alone. I came back from dinner and my dog had been left alone on a couch that she could not get off of. My dog was trembling and afraid. I have hired sitters all over the world for almost twenty years (for this dog and my last dog) and have NEVER experienced this. A sitter leaving before you get home????? Unfortunately I don't recommend, despite Michelle being very pleasant personally, thorough from an admin and scheduling perspective, and very punctual with pick ups and drop offs. I was visiting Miami on business direct from vacation and booked 2 nights for my dog after filling out michelles questionnaire and talking with her well in advance. My 6 lb daschund prefers human company to dog company and this seemed no issue when discussed. (It's no issue to the day care I use at home 3 times a week.) so, all seemed good. Anyway, 2 hours after drop off, Michelle called me (while I was in meetings an hour away) sounding stressed, saying "I didn't know your dog was so anxious" (the first person to say that about her) and wanting to give her back and cancel the 2nd night. Very frustrating since I was in a business trip. I spent the rest of the day upset and trying to find a pet taxi to relieve Michelle of the dog I'd paid in advance for her to care for. I pay businesses to be problem solvers and know how to do their job. In the case of dog sitters, transitioning dogs and being the alpha in the pack is a requirement of good sitters. The cancellation in my opinion was a lazy, unprofessional move from someone that doesn't actually know how to transition dogs to her environment, had better things to do than be with the dog, and was unable to be the alpha pack leader (reminder, my dog is a non-aggressive 6 lb teacup). So, Michelle retuned the dog that same day And Michelle still charged me in full for an overnight. Cheesy move. No hard feelings Michelle, I wish you all the docile dogs you can handle. read more

We are so grateful for Michelle! We were visiting Miami for NYE and needed to board our Bernese puppy Sierra for 2 nights (while we partied!). Michelle was extremely prompt and thorough in taking care of our needs. She invited us to her online portal, sent us invoices electronically, and was available by phone every step of the way. When we arrived in Miami, Michelle followed up with the address where we could drop off Sierra, which was less than a mile from where we were staying. We made a mistake and took Sierra to the beach, and it caused her to get diarrhea. Our hosts, Valentina and Justin, took excellent care of her, feeding her carrots and monitoring her closely (we later found out that the salt water from the beach can cause diarrhea, oops!).
