I had an excellent and efficient grooming experience here this morning. My two little wiener dogs were getting pretty shaggy and we are visiting so Yelp pointed me to Michelle. She was punctual as I was her first client and she finished both dogs in and hour and a half. Teeth brushed ears cleaned and other gory details I'll spare you. I brought my two dogs here to be groomed on a Saturday. I called around 8am and the owner answered. She sounded very busy but told me that she'd be glad to fit them in that morning. When we arrived, we were greeted immediately by Michelle and two other groomers. They took my dogs in right away. All products used are organic. They also do teeth cleaning without anesthesia - a huge plus! The entire area is open for you to be able to watch while your furry babies are getting groomed. There were other dogs there waiting for their owners to pick them up, all looked happy and content. From the way my dogs were treated, you could tell that the owner really has a passion for what she does. Will continue to bring my dogs here. So happy we found this place! read more

Michelle the owner / groomer is beyond irresponsible. She was grooming 2 of my shihtzus and when she took one out to hand her to me, she did not close the cage behind her and my other baby fell straight out head first. This was a 5 foot drop. He was yelping and hurt and she didn't so much apologize or even ask if he was ok. In fact she increased the price by 10.00. Absolutely horrible. read more

Aside from the full 5 star rating this location has, and the cute/catchy rhyming voicemail Michelle has, what really drew me was the fact that she has 40 years of experience in grooming. My dog is special needs and I've had a hard time finding someone who could take him on and give him a proper haircut without hurting him (he's tiny at only 3lbs). I am very cautious with him when it comes to cutting his hair because he does not take kindly to clippers, but she was very open to the idea of allowing me to stay and help carry him next time to ensure a smooth process and efficient haircut. I have yet to meet someone who is open to making the necessary accommodations to give my pup the best experience possible until we met Michelle. If you're reading this know that your pup will be in good hands, and Michelle if you're reading this THANK YOU for doing such a great job and for loving what you do. read more

I was told it would take about 1-2 hours, so I planned my day around that. After waiting the full time, I had to call them because no one contacted me, only to be told I'd need to wait another hour on top of what I was originally told. The lack of communication and misleading time estimate was frustrating and unprofessional. The bigger issues came after. Shortly after the visit, my dog developed kennel cough and was sick for nearly three weeks -- coughing, uncomfortable, and clearly miserable. She had not been around other dogs prior to this appointment. We also noticed immediate coat damage. Her fur texture changed completely -- it became rough, wiry, and dry instead of soft like it had always been. The coat was also discolored only at the tips while the roots remained normal, which points to product or heat damage during grooming. This was not a gradual genetic change; it happened right after her appointment. So in one visit we experienced: * Poor communication and inaccurate timing * A dog that became sick * Visible coat damage that will take months to grow out We trusted this place with our dog's health and deeply regret it. Grooming should never result in a dog leaving sick and physically affected like this. Pet owners, please be cautious.

To make it right you would need to refund me that money that you overcharged me and not DEMAND that it be applied to a service I was not intending to re-book. In addition, the dog's ear was not "nicked", it was SLICED and the vet was unable to rectify the situation without anesthesia due to the pain my dog had when trying to remove the hair from the laceration. I understand you trying to minimize this to not look bad to other dog owners, but in my 30 years of owning dogs and bringing them to groomers, this has NEVER happened to me and I have never been robbed of my money like this.

When we arrived it was a dirty old shed with a 'makeshift' cage out of what appeared to be old lockers or something. The man was fine-initially- but the whole situation gave bad vibes. We left the dogs, big mistake. 5-10 minutes later he called us that our puppy was aggressive. While still on the call he was YELLING at our 14 month old Shih tzu. Side note: He weighs 14 lbs. He's around children and the public all day. He comes to work with us... He is not aggressive. We said we would be right back and drove right back. Upon arrival he was cutting our other dog. He was asked to stop but kept cutting. He was asked again to stop but kept ignoring my husband. Since returning home, our dog has not stopped crying and rubbing his behind. He is obviously in pain. From our interactions we believe him to be very rough with the animals. We are now contacting our vet. He was a very dismissive older man with a disgusting 'shop' and no patience for animals. He said he's semi-retired. He should probably go ahead and finish. We weren't looking for a deal, he was actually more than expensive than our regular place. We just wanted someone good with the dogs which was why we left them after initially arriving... Never again.

I LOVE DOG'S BEST FRIEND and I am a complete maniac about who I let touch my dog!!! I live in Miami only a couple of months a year so it's been tough to find the right groomer. Now I love her so much I am afraid I am going to have to fly down here just to get my dog's hair cut!!! She ticks all the boxes of professionalism but most important to me, with something as sensitive and personal as our pets, she has NOTHING to hide - she started clipping my dog's hair right in front of me! No one does that! It's the sign of a real dog lover and a very caring person...she has the best reviews i have ever read on yelp and they are all correct..take it from a New Yorker who loves to complain!!! Dog's Best Friend has been my grooming shop for over 10 years. Michelle the owner has been there for 30 years.. She really knows her dogs. She is the best groomer and always keeps me informed on my dog's health. Skin issues or fleas or allergies and even her teeth. She cleans teeth without sedation and so much less then the vet. She saved my dog's life by informing me of an absess that I never saw. It could have been really bad if she had not told me.She always knows what my dog needs and she always leaves looking so great and smells wonderful. I would never go any where else. read more

Just moved to Florida from New York. Needed to find a groomer so I searched yelp. When I saw the stellar reviews from other pet owners, I was convinced that I should try them. Wow, I was so happy the way the owner , Michelle , and her assistant, Tiffany, groomed my dog. They actually did a better job than the New York groomer.
