I just moved here from Virginia Beach, Virginia, and my dog is a well known favorite at the Ruff House Stay and Play doggy daycare there. On Monday June 28, 2021 I picked my Bella up from doggies gone wild-Miami to her nail ripped off and a "I'm sorry we cleaned it up..just keep an eye on it, and next time maybe trim her nails". As a responsible dog owner I immediately took her to an after hours pet clinic where they said her nails didn't need to be clipped and had to sedate her to remove the nail and stop the bleeding. My dog had never had a reason to go to an emergency and is the sweetest dog. The next day I received a call asking how she's doing and I said I had to take her to the vet and $400 dollars later she seems ok for now. Then I asked her what happened and she said an employee was wearing ripped jeans and Bella's foot got caught and they aren't even allowed to wear ripped jeans. She then said she will let her manager know about the vet bill. That was Tuesday and I haven't heard from them yet. I DID NOT EVEN GET REFUNDED FOR THE DAYCARE I PAID FOR THAT DAY!! Do not trust these people. They are careless.

I had a great experience. I recommended a few friends. My dog Loveley always had stay here. She's blind and deaf. Doggies Gone Wild have take care specia care to her she has stay here since she was very young. Now she's very old. I recommend it very highly. I also leave every year my othe 4 doggies. I have great service. Thanks.

Finding a spot for a day off for new doggy parents is a must. We have successfully brought our pup here at least ten times. They do offer a free day trial after submitting appropriate paperwork and an appointment for a tour is given by appointment only. You should have current basic vaccinations and I would suggest having the kennel cough vaccine also though it's not required. Bring your pups snacks and any in between meal and off you go. The drop off process is seamless and our dog could care less what we do when he's here playing. You can ask to get pictures throughout the day and staff are pretty consistent about it but you do have to ask. The only thing I'd suggest is a live feed in the play area so you could watch play times to check in. No complaints, staff tell you what happened through the day and are keen observers to anything happening with your pet. They told us our boy was itching an ear and when he had a rash (which we knew about). I'd highly suggest this place for a break for doggy parents and an exhausted pup at the end of the day. Live & Love! Try it, I hope you will love it!

I had an awful experience boarding my dog Teddy at the Miami Gardens location recently. I would personally recommend avoiding this business altogether, but here are a few highlights from my own experience: 1) I made it very clear that this was my first time boarding my anxious dog, and I was told that she would be in good hands. Based on other reviews, I had expected to receive some updates throughout her stay, but not only did I not hear from anyone until 2 hours before I picked her up on her last day, but I also had a hard time reaching anyone throughout her visit (I texted multiple times, and only heard back from someone once I left a voicemail). 2) I left anti-anxiety medication (Trazodone) with the receptionist, and let her know that 1 pill should be given each night around 1 hour before bedtime. I only boarded Teddy for 2 nights, but I left 3 pills to be safe. When I picked Teddy up, I noticed that all 3 pills were missing. I was eventually told that only 2 pills were administered, but this made me nervous either way. 3) After I picked Teddy up, I noticed a ton of scabbing all over her coat. I immediately scheduled a vet appointment, called Doggies Gone Wild, and sent over a few pictures so they could let me know where the scabbing came from (i.e. was there a fight? did she seem irritated at all? did something go wrong during the grooming appointment I was told was mandatory for a 2-night stay)? I was told that someone would contact me ASAP, but no one did. I had to call back 2 days later (at the vet) and even now no one is able to explain the scabbing/bleeding. My vet bill and treatment plan came out to over $500, and I have to return for a follow up in 2 weeks. The vet seems to think that this either happened because the groomer didn't properly dry Teddy (she was very damp when I picked her up, but I ignored this at the time because she smelled nice), or there might be an unknown contagious skin infection going around. Her back is COVERED in these scabs, but she is a Husky/GSD mix, so it's hard to tell. I'm being told I may have to shave her entire back if the scabbing doesn't improve with meds :/ 4) No one stays to watch the dogs overnight, which I'm realizing now is an issue for me (but may not be for other people). **AS OF 2/22: There has been no mention of rectifying these issues and/or refunding any of my stay.

I have been taking my dog Elsie to doggies gone wild for a bath since early 2019 having a great experience every time! She is so happy after her bath & nail trimming. I want to thank the team for always keeping her safe!

I am so happy DGW opened another location in Miami Gardens. I have been taking my Savanah to the 1st location for a few years now but this is more convenient for me. Savanah always has such fun and today was no exception. She gets to play with other dogs (supervised) all day and then gets a royal (bath & grooming) treatment before I pick her up. The staff at DGW is friendly and so wonderful. They sent me pictures of her playing and having fun and she always comes home so happy and tuckered out from her day of play. The staff is also great about following any directions. My dog is a Frenchie so I have often have had to leave them with special food or allergy shampoo for her and they never bat an eye.

My dog Rex is in love with this place. Best doggie daycare ever!!!!! I would recommend this place to anyone. The staff is really friendly and the place is clean. On your first visit they give you a tour of the place. Great place wouldn't take my dog anywhere else.

I was very happy with the service I received for my little. saint. He was very happy (clearly he didn't miss me) lol. They're very affordable, kind, and efficient. One I got pics of my puppy I also was very happy and more relaxed on my trip.

I have been a loyal customer of Doggies Gone Wild since 2009, when at the time I only had my little Dolce. Nine years later and now the proud owner of five dogs, I would not trust absolutely anyone else with my babies. Both locations are conveniently located, and the prices are great. From the owner to the staff, everyone is sweet, and attentive to every detail. And Disclaimer my dogs are not easy to put up with, not one of them. I have never had an issue with them, ever in the nine years I have been a customer. I highly recommend them to anyone!

I've been taking my almost 2 years old Boston Terrier to this location for over a year now and I can safely say I've never had any issues with DGW Miami Gardens. My puppy runs in there so excited each and every time which is always a great sign that he enjoys being there. He's spent up to a week there and I always feel safe and have peace of mind knowing my pup will return to me safe and sound while also enjoying play time with his doggy friends. I also love that at DGW my doggy isn't locked up all day like at many other lodging places, rather he spends all day playing with his friends (inside in the AC and outside in the sun) and running about. I HIGHLY recommend taking your doggies here!!

They explained that the dogs play all day, have activities, are separated by temperament, and that puppies are carefully monitored. This gave me peace of mind since I had concerns about his joints, breaks, and being around larger dogs since he's just a baby. When I dropped him off, the man at the desk was also professional and explained that Murphy would receive a temperament assessment around lunchtime, and I'd get a call afterward with an update. He said I could either pick Murphy up then or leave him longer depending on how things went. Unfortunately, I never received a call or text. When I finished work and called them, the woman who answered was short and unenthusiastic -- she simply said, "Oh yeah, we have Murphy. He's in with the dogs, he's fine." Her tone left me uneasy. When I arrived, I found Murphy sitting off to the side in the large dog area, panting and looking unhappy. The dogs in the group were very large, and one was jumping excessively on top of other dogs (I'm talking like a kangaroo. 6ft in the air. The dog should be named jelly bean). Murphy, normally playful and confident, seemed timid and off. To make things worse, he was completely soaked -- his belly, legs, tail, everything. The floor of the play area was covered in large puddles of liquid, and while the staff member tried to tell me it was just "water from the hose," it was clearly urine. Once home, it was undeniable from the smell that he had been sitting and lying in urine (possibly mixed with feces). I was told dogs are only walked once a day and use a grass area outside. From what I saw, the indoor space has no toys or stimulation, and the floors are left wet with urine throughout the day. This means the dogs are essentially playing and laying in filth for hours. I left with Murphy timid, drenched in urine, and completely unlike his normal happy self. When I raised concerns, I was met with a dismissive response rather than care or reassurance. While I was in the lobby, I actually asked other people dropping off their dogs if they would recommend this place, since I was so concerned. To my surprise, they said they would. So perhaps some dogs are less sensitive to the environment, need less enrichment, or hygiene isn't as much of a concern to their owners. It's possible I caught the facility on a bad day. I am grateful this was a free trial because I would not have paid for such substandard care. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I will not be bringing Murphy back. I sincerely hope the facility improves its sanitation, communication, and oversight, because the way the dogs are kept now is unacceptable. - I felt providing an update on this review is important for anyone considering bringing their pup to DogTown. After I picked Murphy up from daycare and wrote my initial review, he slept for hours and hours. When he finally woke up, he had developed a severe limp in his front leg. The limp worsened, and he ended up at the vet today. Thankfully, there are no broken bones, but the vet believes it's either a soft tissue injury or a hairline fracture. This almost certainly came from the rough play that's allowed at Dog Town, as Murphy had no issues prior and had just been cleared at the vet the week before during routine vaccines. My poor 5-month-old puppy is now on pain medication and sedation so we can keep him practically on bed rest while we hope his injury heals on its own. The vet also noticed a growth on his lip, which is canine papilloma virus. While I can't say with 100% certainty that it came from here, research shows it's commonly spread in dog daycare and boarding facilities, and the timing makes it very possible. With both of these things, I truly wish I could rate this place negative five stars.

Very disappointing experience with Rosemary today…read more I have been going to this grooming business for years and have always had a good experience at the Brickell location, so I was especially disappointed by my family's recent interaction with Rosemary. Unfortunately, Rosemary had a very bad attitude and made a completely unnecessary personal comment, telling my boyfriend that my dog was "as difficult as myself." She then added that I am "difficult" because I ask for the price every time I bring my dogs in for grooming. First of all, asking for the price before a service is completely reasonable, especially when the price can vary. There is absolutely no reason for a grooming professional to make a personal remark about a customer simply for asking a basic question. What makes this even more disappointing is that I have been a customer for years and have never had an issue at the Brickell location, aside from one previous incident where another customer actually had to tell me that they were giving her my dog. That was already concerning, but I continued going because, overall, I had been happy with the service. This experience with Rosemary, however, was unacceptable. Customers should be treated with respect, and comments like these are completely inappropriate and unnecessary. I hope management takes this feedback seriously because long-time customers deserve better treatment.
