I have a 9lb white Maltese. Any of you who know about that breed you know that they have beautiful fluffy hair. When I gave him to her I advised that my baby had an allergy that affected his skin, so she was aware. My dog hadn't had a groom in a while and yes, his beautiful hair was a little longer than usual, being Thanksgiving i wanted him to look handsome. When she finished and handed me my dog, I didn't notice at that minute, but once I saw him i started crying. My poor dog was almost bald, he had no hair on his ears, tail and nearly any on all of his body. His face still had long pieces of hair and the top head was so uneven it look terrible. My poor baby was unrecognizable. I called the office,which was so loud with kids in the background that I could not barely hear. When I complain to them she said it was because my dog's allergy and that was groomer was unaware of! Which i did tell her before she started. Even when I sent them pictures they still didn't believe me. My dog gets groom by other groomers and he always comes out very handsome, even with his allergies. All they offer was for her to come back and make it even. I wonder how she was going to do that if my poor baby was BALD! Also I don't know what they did to his ears, he has bed scratching them since she cleaned them! I will NEVER used them again and hope nobody else does! Abbie was very flexible - asked me about my dog (a yellow lab) and what was needed. As the lab is very low-maintenance, grooming was very quick - and she was able to fit me in the next day. Abbie uses a partial room of the Vet hospital, so it was a bit difficult to find - but the service she gave was excellent. My boy, Brutus, came home smelling fine and didn't shed for about a week.

You aren't able to book any appointments online, only by calling. I called ahead and booked an appointment. I brought my little guy in to get a gull groom on his birthday. His fur was quite uneven and choppy, so my main request was to get him evenly trimmed. I showed the picture of the haircut I had in mind, and they took some photos for reference, which I appreciated. The groomer was excellent at communicating before the process. After about two hours later, I returned to pick him up, and he looked adorable with a little bandana they put on him. The full groom cost $75 before tip (pricy may vary by dog), which I found comparable to other places I've been and seen.

We have been going to BGE for just…read moreover a year now and here's why I love them: For starters, they are a cage/stress free groomer which means your pup isn't crated in a drying cage like they do at many other groomers. This means your pup is in great hands from beginning to end which gives them a spa like experience. When I drop him off and they take him to the back, I always hear them say "Everyone, Remy is here!" and the groomers all say "Hi Remy!" which I think is such a cute touch that allows me to leave peacefully knowing he's cared for. The best part is after they're groomed, they get a complimentary photo shoot! I will say this is what I look forward to most after picking my pup up. They upload their photos on their Facebook page and there's always such a cute theme to celebrate whatever is going on that month/season. We even sometimes get paw print art to take home! After attending Yappy Hour on Saturdays and meeting the other puppies and dog parents, she has become much more socialized. Thanks to Lina, Dylan and the rest of the staff - their training tips, patience and love of dogs really helped Ruby to become brave, and she is now having fun playing with the other dogs.
