There is currently an active tornado watch and a 90% chance of rain; it is simply not a safe or productive day for anyone to be out, including their staff or my pets. Rather than prioritizing safety or acknowledging our long-term business relationship, the owner chose to be incredibly rigid. Instead of agreeing that a reschedule was the responsible move under dangerous conditions, she "reminded" me that because of the late notice, I would forfeit my payment entirely. It is deeply disappointing that a business would prioritize a single fee over the well-being of their employees and the concerns of a long-time customer. I prefer to work with people who are understanding, compassionate, and safety-conscious. If a business lacks the flexibility to handle a literal storm warning with common sense, it makes me question how they would handle an emergency with my pets. I will be taking my business elsewhere to find a provider that values relationships and safety over rigid policies.

We received superior care and loving support for our three cats from Laura the Pet Nanny. Our cats get all the care and attention and time they need and feel the superior service of going the extra mile is there each and everytime. We love getting pictures of our cats and know they are getting nurtured with toys and playtime...she takes extra care and is a serious animal lover and true nanny...not just the scooping and running out type. She is very kind, loyal and loving and my cats love her right back. She is really there for her clients and value is there with superb attention to detail. I live 12 miles from her and accidentally locked her out once by mistake as made new keys and Laura is so dependable and was above and beyond helpful when she went out of her way, drove to friend and picked up spare keys, and went back to my house and took care of my 3 cats. I knew she has our back. She is terrific and we always have peace of mind and adore her professionalism and expertise and seriously perfect services. I stumbled upon Laura and her team a few years ago when I first moved to this area and needed a reliable trustworthy pet sitter for my two elderly cats. I feel so lucky that I found them. Laura and my regular cat sitter Susan truly care about your needs and are there to help. They also obviously love animals. Susan takes excellent diligent care of my kitties every time I have to take a trip. One of my kitties gets really bad separation anxiety and I can tell from the daily photos that Susan sends me while I'm away that her presence there helps to reassure the anxious kitty. The daily photos also go a long way toward reassuring ME! One year I got stuck out of town during a hurricane and they even proactively sent me messages assuring me that my cats would be looked after in case the storm hit! They're also very conscientious about locking up and keeping your home safe, and their prices are both extremely reasonable and flexible. I cannot recommend the services of Laura and her team enough. I was so fortunate so have come across Laura the Pet Nanny while I was researching pet sitters for an overseas trip. I was already nervous about leaving my four babies, and to be nowhere nearby if something went wrong was incredibly stressful. Luckily, Laura spent a lot of time with me for an initial phone conversation, and she had TWO pet sitters come over for an in-person session that really helped eased my mind. Everyone was wonderful, I got daily communication and pictures, and I felt very so comfortable with the whole experience. I love that Laura and her team understood that my specific (and slightly neurotic) instructions came from a place of worry and dealt with me with kindness and tons of assurances. If you are concerned about having people watch your pets, you can rest assured that Laura the Pet Nanny and her staff treat your pets like family! Not only do they make sure that all of your pet's needs are taken care of: food, medication administration, litter box cleaning, etc. but they take the time to play with your fur babies so they get interaction and stimulation. Every day they send pictures and a little update about how everyone is doing. Plus, they keep an eye on your house and can do those little things that matter so much when you are away- like bringing the trash can in from the curb or those amazon packages left at your door etc. I have been a client for years and my three cats love them as do I! I can't recommend them enough..they give me peace of mind when I'm away from my four legged children and that is just priceless. read more

I used Laura the Pet Nanny for many years because I had a senior dog who could not go all day without a potty break and a little walk. My sitter was Becky who ALWAYS showed up( my nosey neighbors would tell me), ALWAYS sent me a photo of her visit with Peach, and ALWAYS left me a little note of the visit. On a few occasions she contacted me if there was a problem that needed immediate attention. My black lab Peach lived to be 18 years old and I owe my extra time with her to the excellent care she received from Becky. I had to work, I had no choice but I felt no regrets because I knew Peach would have a midday break with a person she grew to love. To me it was money well spent knowing I was being a responsible pet owner. Becky had worked in a veterinary hospital that made me feel even better knowing she had that background. read more

My dog had been going to the best day care/shelter I could find when I went out of town, but she was always very frightened. The owners would call to tell me she was just shaking in fear all the time. Now I don't have to worry. She is safe at her home and comfortable. Her friends at Laura the Pet Nanny come to visit with her. They play with her, feed her, give her medication at the right time, walk her. They soon became her best friends. I receive a text and picture of her each visit. You choose how many visits you need or want. There is nothing better then that when I have to be away. Plus they will also take in your mail, paper, turn on and off the light. So they keep my dog safe and my home safe too. read more

I was always skittish about strangers entering my home while I am away but I had a situation where I had no choice but to give Laura the Pet Nanny's services a try and boy am I ever so glad I did! My babies love the ladies that come take care of them. Aside from being great communicators and taking pics of each baby with little notes, they are loving and very careful about doing things as requested. The app is great for booking and giving them instructions about what to do for each pet and where everything is. A couple of years ago I found myself stuck in Colorado because of a hurricane in FL and they went above and beyond in caring for our cat at the time. Laura the Pet Nanny and staff took great care of my cat while I was away at a family reunion during Thanksgiving. Laura sent me daily pictures of my cat so that I was ensured he was being well taken care of. She provided him with daily groomings and fresh water/food. I will be relocating out of state and my new apartment does not allow pets. Laura helped me find my cat a new loving home with an elderly couple. It was a perfect match! Not many people would go out of their way to help find an older cat a new home, but Laura did it with no hesitation. I have been using this pet service for several years for three visits a week which means that Laura and her team have visited my fur babies many times while I am working. On occasion I have been home when Laura or one of her walkers came and my pups are always so excited to see them. During the period that I have used this service there was a time that I requested extra care for one of my pups (after surgery) and these people went above and beyond what was expected. Laura's service is super professional. Our trip was cancelled due to the Covid-19 situation, but the experience leading up to our trip was fantastic. Laura is super friendly, knowledgeable, and answered all questions, emails, messages right away. She has a really nice website that is very thorough. She came to our house to meet us and our kitty and brought 2 sitters with her. It was a great meeting. She took a LOT of time to get to know our kitty and make sure she had all the info she needed to petsit for the 5 days we would be gone. My aging cats (18 years +) totally love her & her staff and look forward to visits. Each day that I'm away I receive an update text and photos of my boys and girls. Laura offers a wide variety of services that can be tailored to your specific needs. I was able to leave my cat at home while away traveling and one of the pet nannies would come each day to feed him, change his litter, and spend a little time with him so he wouldn't get lonely. With each visit, I received an update via text message telling me how he was doing with the best picture he would allow then to take. The staff is so kind and informative. They let you know if there were any concerns with your pets behavior or eating habits. They are super accommodating and allow you to bring your pets favorite toy or treats and even their bed for boarding. They keep detailed notes and ensure they understand what your pets needs are and how to care for them . They even administer meds for your pet. They have surveillance and you can watch you pet play during the day using the odoggy app. You only have access to the cameras at night if your pet is staying in a VIP room. They have treat options like hot dogs and ice cream and grooming options for your pet during their stay. My favorite time is when I pick my pup up and she is so happy to see me and the staff provides a picture and/ or report card of how her stay went. Nice size parking lot and right off the highway for pet parents.., little shop inside for last minute needs, they also have indoor and outdoor areas for the pups and a puppy pool. Prices are going up a few dollars in September but currently a small room is $53 per night.. I believe VIP is $75 per night but is a larger room with a TV and camera access for pet parents. They do have a fees for late pickups and different things so just keep in mind because that can add up quickly. All in all my pups loves this place and sleeps for two days after all the playing she does while here. This will continue to be my go to. Even with the pending price increase, they are right in line with similar boarding facilities in the area

What a great place! Our pup loves it here and they take care of him like one of their own. The…read morewhole staff is amazing and so knowledgeable. We use their doggie day care 1-3x week and have also used for minor grooming like baths and nail trims. We also get our pet food from them along with a number of toys and treats. She doesn't carry anything she wouldn't give to her own pups, and many toys have tested in DDC. My dog loves it so much that he sits by the garage door every morning hoping its a DDC day!

I'm…read morehappy they took an extra step of a meet and greet to make sure Panda, our puppy Aussie, would fit well and to make sure he wasn't aggressive. They are easy to communicate with. I also received numerous updates, photos, and videos of panda while he was at doggy daycare. I'm happy he's able to socialize with other dogs and avoid being locked up all day. We also received an adorable report card for our puppy.
