They have continuously lied about serious situations to avoid a law suit. They told her that her own dog bit a piece of his own ear off which is not physically possible. Her dog is now miserable in a cone because of the situation. If a dog is not other dog friendly they do not need to be near other dogs. it is ridiculous how a business could let this happen most likely more than once. Breaking the bills down every month really does help a lot and is for sure beneficial. Other than the money aspect of this place I have had both a good and bad experience with every visit. Let's start with the good... The vets that I have met have all been very friendly and seem to be knowledgeable about any questions that I have asked. I have enjoyed my experience with the vets and trust their opinions on what to do with my dog. My only annoyance with them has been the disconnect they have all had with a medication my dog needs for a disease she has. I get so annoyed with it I just go back to my old vet to get her meds. So, if you want an educated and friendly vet then take your animals here. Now for the bad... The front desk staff is rude and extremely incompetent. They look miserable sitting behind their computers and love to project their misery onto other people. They also don't communicate with each other or the vets (at least in my experience). I could very easily go on and on about this, but after a lengthy phone call I just had with the manager I don't think it will do any good. I always find myself entering and leaving this place SO frustrated. If you talk to PetSmart staff or the volunteers that come into PetSmart they are more than happy to tell you how much they DON'T recommend taking your pets to Banfield. Even some customers I have sat with and waited with before complain about how terrible the staff is. On another note... The manager I spoke with is extremely unpleasant and overly protective of her staff. I normally don't feel the need to talk over someone, raise my voice, or even complain as heavily as I did with her. She called with the right idea of trying "make things right," but how does one even do that in this kind of situation? The most she can really do is apologize which doesn't give me back five hours of my Sunday or make the experience less aggravating. I understand protecting your staff to a certain point, but this was just too much. Save yourself some time and don't bother complaining. All I have now is probably a note on my account warning people that I'm a pain in a**. And just an FYI I brought my dog in around noon and let the staff know that she still hadn't had a bowl movement. They had her in there for about five hours and never bothered to take her out. As soon as I brought her outside she pooped all over the sidewalk and peed. It was disgusting and definitely upset the customers/staff walking by. Poor girl must have been holding it in for hours. Seriously hope I can find something as cost effective as this, but somewhere else once my contract ends. I really don't want to have to deal with place longer than I have to.
