We'd taken our 2 1/2 year old mini Australian Labradoodle, Mitzi, to Wagsworth a number of times in the past, both for boarding and doggy day care, so it was a natural choice when we needed to board her for an extended period, due to some human medical issues. Mitzi returned from her 5 week stay in excellent shape, happy to be home but healthy and not stressed at all. The staff at Wagsworth gave her any meds she needed, as requested, and fed her the food we'd provided, since she ha a sensitive stomach. we'd asked that she have daily group playtime and a weekly visit to the swimming pool, which she loves. Our pup came home and immediately fell back into her old routines, as though she'd never been away. Wagsworth really helped all of us. In the past, some dogs have returned from other boarding experiences, at other places, absolutely traumatized but thus was clearly not Mitzi's experience. Thanks, Wagsworth! read more

I used the cat boarding service for the first time and was very happy with the experience. The staff is very thorough and accommodating and the boarding area is very clean and quiet as it is in a separate area away from the dog boarding section. we took my GSD Athena to Wagsworth Manor for STAR puppy training and i have to say Davyeda (i probably spelled that wrong, in fact i know i did) the trainer was amazing as well as the rest of the staff. They were kind, compassionate and showed my dog as well as every dog i saw them with nothing but love. They were patient and made sure that we all understood what was going on and what she meant through each session. The first night we went in there my husband had to carry Athena through the doors because she was so scared. By the last night she was playing and held her head high. I am so happy with what we were taught that i plan on taking Athena back for more training as well as my 3 month old GSD Sarika for her STAR puppy training. read more

My dog is 14 months old now and I began bringing him to daycare at Wagsworth when he was 5 months old for socialization. Since he was about 5 months old he has been extremely anxious with new people and will not let anyone approach him. He took to Wagsworth immediately and loves going. Services are good, pricing is aggressive and unforgiving. For example, one day we were late to pick up our dog. Yes, that's my fault. However, we've been going there for years and have spent tens of thousands of dollars there and hadn't ever been late. There were still employees there, and it was about 30 minutes past closing. Instead of saying "we'll be here for another x minutes, if you are able to swing by by then" and giving me a pass, I am told I will be charged $100 for being late. That might make sense if holding him overnight would be $300, but the kicker is that it only cost $70 to keep my dog there overnight for another 14 hours! Another time, we somehow didn't know we had to individually bag our dogs food--for each meal--for boarding and they wanted to charge us some unreasonable about of money for the labor involved for them to just scoop out a 1/2 cup per meal. An acquaintance of ours warned us they stopped going here for things like this, and while we will still consider Wagsworth because the services and staff themselves are good, it is now low on our list for boarding, because of the hassle of dealing with unreasonably, if not downright outrageously, aggressive fees and penalties. I've just gotten the general sense over the years that management couldn't care less if you are a loyal customer and is more concerned about finding any possible reason to charge you out the nose for something, even if it risks you not coming back. There are just too many other options out there in this area, including Rover.com, that are less rigid and more willing to work to have and keep your business, for us to continue to have experiences like this with Wagsworth. Overall, there are some good things here and some bad things. You get good services, but don't be surprised if they try to bleed you dry for unreasonable things you didn't think you'd have to pay for. I'd probably give 3.5 stars, if Yelp would let me. read more

We left our 6 month old puppy with Wagsworth Manor Pet Resort for 13 days. We paid for a bath but we decided to pick her up 1 hour early. With that said she smelled of urine and had dried stickiness all over her. Also we paid for 15 minutes cuddles each night. A person name Erin called me asking me how I felt about their services and I explained to her what happened and she got rude and basically hung up on me. Truly impressed by the staff and the facility. This was our puppy's first time away from home, so we called the next morning to see how she did. The staff gave us such a reassuring report of the past day's activities that we didn't even check up on her until we picked her up four days later. We met one of the owners, Brad, who offered us a tour of the building and grounds, and we were amazed. For a facility to be near capacity for boarding and day camps, it was so immaculate and smelled so fresh. My dog boarded at Wagsworth Manor recently and it was everything we hoped. We moved to the area a year ago and I had been unable to find a good place to board my elderly Aussie. It was a frustrating problem and one I had never experienced before. A vet recommended Wagsworth Manor, and although it's some distance from our home, it was well worth the drive. The facility is great -- clean and well maintained with ample outdoor spaces. The best part, though (always!) is the staff. They are quite wonderful -- warm and attentive -- clearly dog lovers. When we picked up our dog, the attendant didn't give us her harness and we didn't realize it was missing until we arrived home. Very quickly we had an email from Wagsworth about returning the harness -- and it arrived via mail within two days. We are very pleased and impressed with Wagsworth Manor -- and we finally have a good place to take our beloved dog. read more

We'd give zero stars if it was an option. When we walked in to pick him up, the place SMELLED AWFUL, as if it hadn't been cleaned in days. We had our pup here for one night and I feel like we paid $70 to have him neglected. He has a fear of water so we opted out of the bath, which additionally would have cost more money...when we picked him up, he had pee VERY noticeably all over his leg - his fur is white, you couldn't miss it if you have any sense. There was no acknowledgement of this by staff; they employee almost seemed annoyed that he was excited to see us when she brought him out as he was pulling on his leash. I'm thinking now he may have also been so excited to see us because they clearly neglected him throughout his stay. He was SO DEHYDRATED. He's never had a dry nose and all the sudden we pick him up and his nose is incredibly dry. I'm not sure they gave him any water. As soon as we walked outside he started licking the ground which had a little bit of water on it as it recently rained. He's never done that before. He was literally crying for water. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I don't think they truly care for animals, simply see it as a way to make money. read more

What a lovely establishment. Our little Francis did so well for his first time at camp. We loved the daily photos! It was honestly something we looked forward to everyday. We were hesitant about leaving our pup for the first time but he seemed to have a ball. I was not sure how he would do with other dogs but he seemed to have acclimated well. He did come home with a little raspy voice, prob from barking at all his new friends haha. We loved that he got some training sessions in and had some time in the baby pool. Wags came highly recommended and now we see why. He can't wait to go back in August to see his buddies and the paparazzi! read more
