We have used Fuzzy Butts, twice in a row now, the first time when we left our pet Brownie for 3 weeks and the second time is when we left Brownie again for 4 days. Unfortunately I found this place very pet friendly, when it comes to pets who are playful with other dogs but for rescue dogs this place is quite alarming. Basically Brownie doesn't do well with other dogs immediately but he is pretty good with humans and is a pretty alert guard dog. But whenever he goes to Fuzzy Butts, first of all they insist on keeping him locked up in a kennel, and second he always comes back with bruises, dry skin and overall having a very dull spirit than usual as if he was tortured in the habitat. As these guys don't have a camera, now I am not sure whether that's true as even this time Brownie is having a bloody bruise on his cheeks, and nose and even some on his elbows. I am not sure if these animal daycare facilities get any kind of audit or they just run their business on the basis of whatever they feel ethical against animal rights. I am very disappointed by the type of service they have provided to us as a customer as compared to the price they charged us on a daily basis. read more

I wish I could give less than one star as this place deserves zero. There was an incident that happened when they had 70 large dogs and 4 staff members for daycare. My dog was severely injured and no one called. I found out at pickup because "they didn't want to leave that on a voicemail". Are you kidding me?! He has previously been sick from this facility and I wrote it off as the norm for daycare. I was wrong. This place is filthy, understaffed and all around careless when it comes to the safety and well-being of your pet. Anytime there is a negative review they outright deny it. I wish I would have believed what I read. Please save yourself the heart ache and vet bills. Stay far away from this place. read more

My husband and I have used day care a few times and our dog has loved it. The staff has always been friendly. There were a few hiccups here and there, but nothing to get worked up about (mostly miscommunication amongst staff). However, we recently used the dog boarding services and when we picked up our dog, she was covered in both wet and dry urine and dried fecal matter. Yes, she was actually given to us like that. We requested for her to get a bath on pick up day as well (set up on drop off day), even confirmed a time with one of the girls at the front desk. Clearly she did not get one. The staff that day was not very helpful in explaining the situation. It also appeared that she skipped a meal as well since we were given back a full bag of food. We were both disgusted and so upset. We requested for the owner to call us but she never did. Definitely never going back here. read more

If I could give less than one star, I would. We recently went on vacation and boarded our dog at FB. This isn't the first time she has stayed there but it will certainly be the last for multiple reasons. 1. Horrible & unprofessional communication. It is impossible to get a hold of someone to get an update on your dog. I called multiple times only to get an automated message everytime. I left a voicemail, unreturned. When I finally spoke with someone the next day she said "Oh yes I got your voicemail yesterday, sorry I forgot to call back!" 2. Untrustworthy. On day 5 of what was supposed to be a 7 day stay, I called again to check in. The young girl I spoke with told me our dog was "doing great and having so much fun!" Fast forward 2 hours, I get a concerning call that our dog has not been eating, unable to take her medication, and has been vomiting and had diarrhea for two days. We left vacation immediately to go get her. 3. Lack of cleanliness. When we got home the vomiting, diarrhea and no appetite continued. Our vet suggested giving her 48 hours to adjust. Nothing changed, in fact it got worse. We ended up bringing her for an emergency check. Here's the final straw. After a 5 day stay at Fuzzy Buttz, our dog was diagnosed with the following: -double ear infection -skin rash on her belly -gastrointestinal "bug" causing diarrhea -bacterial infection in bloodwork The owner of FB kindly suggested next time we look into Rover. NO BRAINER! Please not put your fur baby through this awful care. read more

we have spent thousands of dollars boarding our dog there and even though the staff is nice, our dog has come home with kennel cough times in the past year after being boarded there. Just picked her up yesterday and when we got there we we're told,"Oh by the way, she's been coughing but we don't think it's anything." Our poor dog is suffering and for the life of me I ask why! Vet visit today with chest xrays... $$$ I don't think they clean the kennels like they are suppose to. Our dog doesn't go out with other dogs because of her anxiety so how the heck is she contracting this so many time?! read more

We have never boarded our dogs and reviewed a few places and went with Fuzzy Butts. Our Thunder and Dozer are large dogs and need to be together. We were nervous leaving them for 1st time for almost one week, But when we returned to pick them up they were like New Dogs very well behaved and So Clean. We could not have been any happier. Worst haircut our corgi ever received. She looks ridiculous! The groomer waited until after she messed up our dog's fur to tell us that she's not comfortable grooming corgis. Not only did they give her a horrible haircut, but they also were unsuccessful at giving her a nail trim. We have had better success with groomers at Petsmart. read more

The staff here is always kind and attentive. bring my 5 month old chocolate lab here for day care when I have a long day at work. He comes home tired which last until the next day! Courteous staff takes my check up calls at lunch and never seemed annoyed about it. This is a disaster! I am leaving my vacation early to go pick up my dog because I just called to see why they weren't showing up in the pictures only to find out that they changed their policy and you have to have your dog in daycare 3X a month in order for them to join the general population. We had boarded several times in the past and this was not our experience and when I spoke to the manager she was extremely rude and basically told me that it is my responsibility to update my knowledge about their rules and they just don't have time to tell every person THEIR policies when they drop off the dog but they sure have time to go over all the upgrades and charges and they surely make time to tap your credit card. I would rate this place with less that one star if I could! They just lost a good customer and I have referred at least 5 neighbors to them and you can be sure I will let them know about their policies. Word of mouth works both ways. read more

I was extremely disappointed with Fuzzy Butts and would warn anyone that wants to take their dog here to proceed with caution. I took my newly rescued dog here for daycare and boarding for about 6 months. I literally would need to give her a bath after just one day at this place. She smelled horrible. I thought that was just normal for a dog daycare until I found the place where I now take her... she now no longer smells like pee, poop and nasty dog smell from just 8 hours of day care like before. I think that speaks to the cleanliness of this facility. My dog would also regularly get diarrhea after day care here and I had to treat her for worms twice, 2 eye infections and an ear infection during her short stint at Fuzzy Butts. In the last 3 months at a new daycare she has not had one episode of diarrhea or any type of infection AT ALL . They were extremely disorganized and would mix up which section to put my dog in (they have one section for bigger/high energy dogs and another for smaller/more calm dogs). The only positive to this place is the adorable little girls who were actually in with the dogs to watch them and take them out. They were lovely. I ran into a few of them at the pet store down the road and they said how much they loved my dog. That was comforting. Unfortunately the disorganization, lack of cleanliness and higher costs compared to similar facilities near by is why I would not recommend Fuzzy Butts to anyone else. read more

I admit I didn't read their rules so I didn't know I had to bring my dog 3 times a month to maintain daycare availability. Once she passed acceptance I then boarded her because I had to go on vacation. I was told by 2 different employees that she would be allowed in the daycare room and if she wasn't interacting they would allow her back into her suite. She is old and doesn't "play" much. I also reserved their gold package which should have included one-on-one visits. When I picked her up after 12 days they explained that she had diarrhea and as soon as she was dry from being washed off she would be ready. While waiting I realized that the charge wasn't high enough for their gold package and I found out that she was left in her room all day and night except for walks, alone. No wonder she was upset and got diarrhea, which never happens at home. I left my deposit because I was going to travel for Christmas to be with family. I had to cancel that and spend Christmas alone because when we got home I realized my dog had kennel cough. I called the vet and from the sound of the coughing and my description she prescribed medicine and she got better. But I couldn't board her because she was contagious. I was upset and didn't deal with the return of the $55 deposit until the end of January and was told flat out I couldn't get it back because I didn't give them 7 days notice. Hard to do when you find out your dog got kennel cough from this facility and your next reservation was 3 days away. I thought about it and decided I wasn't going to take it and tried to have my deposit transferred to a friend who goes there for daycare. I was told their system couldn't do that. Asked for the owner and was told the owner decided I could have my money back if I had a letter from the vet stating a diagnosis of kennel cough. My vet didn't see her and only knew she was coughing and that was the diagnosis. So they are ignoring me. I was told the owner hardly ever comes in. No wonder the business is a mess! read more

I made arrangements for my Morkie, Gia to board at Fuzzy Butts after a recommendation. I couldn't find any Yelp reviews. I was disappointed that Gia would not co-mingle with the dogs in day care. She would have a small suite and she would be taken outdoors on a leash in an open area and unleashed in the courtyard five times a day. I picked Gia up today and found the person at the desk was disengaged. I told her I was there to pick up Gia and she quickly totaled my fees. I had to ask how Gia did during her stay. Her reply was fine. After Gia stayed there for five days I thought the she could have replied a little more personably. Gia is fun loving, loves people gives a lot of licks. Usually when I pick her up from Pet Smart or the vet,the staff are anxious and willing to tell me how Gia behaved and how much they enjoyed having her. Then I was forwarded to the tech that spent time feeding her and walking her. When I pressed her for a report she said that she ate well and went to the bathroom. I got the sense that the staff at Fuzzy Butts were just doing a job without caring or enjoying the pets that they care for. I found out that the first disinterested person I spoke to was actually a co-owner. Gia was filled with kisses for me when I picked her up. I won't leave her to their care again and certainly do not recommend this facility to anyone that loves their pet. read more

We regularly board our dog there. Do not need or use the daycare. At one pickup after a week of boarding I was charged $35 for a basic bath. I thought it was excessive as it's almost twice the cost of our regular groomer. Sent an email, no response. Asked about it the next time I was there and a girl said she would leave a note for the owner. Again, Nothing. I think $35 for a bath is a bit much considering I'm paying $35/day for a weeks stay. Fuzzy Butts is under new management; a former client bought the place. The facility is beautiful. It's clean, doesn't smell in the least, and entirely climate controlled. I was given a tour by one of the managers (husband and wife team) and was shown the large play area, the kitchen, boarding kennels, and the open air (but still enclosed) play space. The kennels are glass enclosed, not cages, and each has a raised bed (nice touch.) The "suites" offer video watching (I guess some people / dogs would go for that.) Again, and I cannot emphasize this enough, the place was really clean. Since they are recently reopened, they have had less than a dozen dogs at any single time, which is great since my dog hasn't been socialized in a group yet so she gets to start out slowly. That said, I don't think the small numbers will remain for long because when word gets out, this place will fill quickly. The four stars are only because my dog hasn't stayed there yet; she has her meet and greet later in the week. I'll come back and let you know how that goes. UPDATE: So - it's been a few days and my dog is doing very well at Fuzzy Butts. Five stars! The staff have been very accommodating of her special needs; i.e., lots of people time, not so much doggy time. The staff is friendly, LOVES dogs, and all around seem to be well-suited to caring for our best friends. Give them a try; you won't be disappointed. read more

I was very happy to see Fuzzy Butts was open under new management. I was estatic when I saw that Charlee would be groomed by Amanda. Amanda was Charlee's groomer years ago and we followed her to Fuzzy Butts when it was under the old management. She does such an amazing job on Charlee. Charlee is a mixed breed Pom/Shih/Peke and is difficult to groom because of the different textures of fur. I can't say enough great things about Amanda, she did an impeccable job. And their scheduling was bery flexible, definitely an added bonus for a last minute person like me! read more

This was our first experience kenneling our year and a half old dog, and Fuzzy Butts exceeded expectations. She made friends as the caring staff knew how to gradually socialize and match dogs of similar temperament. We will absolutely look for more opportunities to board again and even do day care. Great place. Great people. Love everything about it. Take my dog to Amanda Walton for grooming and she does superb work with the dogs. Came to fuzzy butts when open the first time and heartbroken when they closed elated that they reopened and followed Amanda back there. I recommend Amanda to everyone I know but everyone from the person who answers the phone/front desk to groomers and the members who watch and play with the dogs go above and beyond. Bravo! read more

Never even got a chance to take my dog here, because they discriminate against Pitbull terriers and mixes. Not only did I have to inquiry twice about my dogs application status, but the staff didnt even have the curtosy to send us a letter or an email letting us know that they changed their policy and no longer accept pitbulls after faxing all of her paperwork and vaccine reports. I know my dog very well, and she has never been in a dog fight, and is currently enrolled at a doggie daycare called camp K-9 paradise paws that accepts pitbulls. I think this place is ridiculous, and it adding to the discrimnation that this breed receives. Better trainers and better segregation would prevent problems. Trainers are the ones that evaluate the dogs that are accepted, if your trainer accepted 5 dogs that all bit unprovoked I would think that theTRAINER is the problem. Bottom line I would NEVER refer anyone to take their pet here, unprofessional and seems like they have a lack of love for dogs of all sizes and types. I am happy to drive the extra 15 minutes to take my dog to a facility that takes great care of her and understands all dogs are different. TIME TO STOP BULLYING BREEDS read more

Wow out of the kennel/daycare my dogs have been to, fuzzy Butts was over the top. The dog we have now gets very car sick and we wanted to go away. Fuzzy Butts just reopened under NEW MANAGEMENT. I stopped by to check it out... So clean, huge playroom! Toys, climber toys and staff. We went outside in the covered area good size. They had 2 dogs laying in a small pool!! It is a spa! Another staff member was with those dogs too. I expected my dog GIGi to sleep in a cage or those over sized create, NO the dogs sleep in a (glass) small room, not too big but more than other places. Plus the suite had a TV (all dogs. Go to heaven ) and a small couch! They showed me the grooming area. It was clean but I didn't look to much bc she didn't need a haircut but definitly next time. If you check it out ask to see the way they clean this place! It's this cool system I can't explain it. I never saw his before. We brought Gigi in for 4 days. THEN we decided to leave her another day bc we were too tired. They had no problem adding a last minute day. No pressure. Now we will always use this place, clean, friendly, FUN. Ps. Gigi had a special diet they were great and labeled areas so everyone knew no treats. I have never written a review on YELP but this place was so good and you can tell these new owners love every minute there. read more
