Great location for hosting events. I hosted events for clinical presentations and company parties. Highly recommend this venue.

One waitress said that she was going to come back and then didn't return for over 15 minutes plus. My friend got the Loco Loco over tater tots, which was very filling and delicious. I got the ribs. Initially the only rib that was hot was the end piece and as soon as I cut it, the remainder was ice cold. I told the waitress who took it back to the kitchen, and they reheated it. The ribs overall were tasty, though not the most tender ribs I've ever ever had. I did like the French fries though it was cold after they reheated my ribs.

Walking through the entrance we were greeted by a server who also doubled as a bartender. We proceeded to order the following: Mai Tai's, Jamaican Jerk seasoned chicken tenders (wife) and the Lava burger (me)...both orders with the hand cut tavern fries. Since the restaurant was fairly empty, our orders came out fairly quickly. Both of our orders arrived hot and were very flavorful. As we enjoyed our meals and sipped our deliciously strong Mai Tai's, we enjoyed people watching and eavesdropping on the conversations held by locals. Throughout our visit, the server did a great job of checking in on us. If you're in Hilo and have a yearning for some delicious food and strong drinks, I recommend checking out Hilo Town Tavern. My only regret is that we did not visit during a karaoke night!

We typically…read moreclimb at indoor climbing gyms all over California (I'm about V4 solid and husband is V6 solid), and considering the limited space they have, I can say they've done well! The routesetting (I heard was done by all women?) was fun and challenging, there are both slab and overhung-ish problems, routes of varying difficulties (so beginner-friendly and above!), and the customer service and pricing are on point! Keep in mind that it's street parking only, but with that, they're walking distance to different restaurants and stuff. Also note that this is a boulder only gym, so no ropes. Fear not though, there are tons of soft crash pads around, the walls aren't incredibly high, and the team gives you a safety run down before you get going! Give them a try! We'd definitely come back.

We started just talking story and they let my nephew climb for an hour while the party set up. I wish I got her name but she was so kind. Gave him pointers on how to climb and still went out of her way to make us feel welcome even though they were supposed to be closed. If ever we visit Hilo again we will definitely stop by. And if you are visiting they are worth going to! So much Aloha found there.

He has enjoyed the variety of what was offered and we continue to sign him up at any classes offered to his age! Recently my entire family (husband, daughter & son) attended a family oriented paint & snack/sip and we had so much fun! Leandra was patient with the large group, provided positive and amazing help to the group and had given everyone some one on one time! We had so much fun I am planning my own private party and have had fun working with Leandra in planning this event! Leandra works with you as well as offers different prices that are all affordable. My intention was always to have my son involved in with Circle of Life and never thought I would enjoy the classes as much as I did and look forward to attending more events! Anyone who hasn't attended a class should reach out to Leandra and plan something, they won't regret it!
