Reasonable produce and dairy sections, of course a little size-limited. A really decent location, not even a hop skip or jump from the busy Piccadilly Circus. This is where the locals shop and I was able to pop in and grab what I needed before hopping onto the Underground. Prices seemed to be right in line with the Tesco Extras out in the suburbs and I found the staff to be efficient.

So pros: convenient, helps save some money, some of the employees go out of their way to be helpful. It was very busy inside with what I imagine was mostly the regular weekday comminutors. There are many self-checkouts so the line went fast. Advice for visitors: like the vast majority of stores in the UK, make sure you bring your own bag or you will be charged for one.

Compared to America, everything in the store was very well-priced and I was elated to find an entire gluten free aisle to shop from. I literally was a kid in a (GF) candy store haha. The image is from a slight afternoon haul where I was craving some snacks. The GF bread had many nutritious seeds and came in handy throughout my stay. I have been missing the GF jam tarts and Bakewells every day and cannot wait to indulge once I return to the UK. It was so hard to believe that the baked goods were not only GF but were also milk free! Although Sainsbury's is a convenience store, it still deserves the praise on here for any future shoppers from near or far.

The security guy letting people out was even arguing with customers that the store does not close at 11pm but much earlier and that the sign on the shop window saying 11pm did not mean the store closes at 11pm but that it closed earlier!! Other TESCO stores round the country are capable of serving people until 11pm when the store says it is open until 11pm so why not this one?

I had visited several locations while in London and they are all laid out roughly the same, making it easy to find what you need. They are slightly cheaper than posh smaller markets, but it is a standard chain grocery store, so quality is a little less for meat, fruit, veggies, etc. There are quite a few around London and its outskirts, so never had an issue while visiting, which is great. All and all, I overall was quite happy with my visits.

Went to Waitrose in the Kings Road Chelsea London today…read more Saturday 7th October 2023 at 3.15pm After purchasing my shopping I went to collect my Free Coffee and there was a note on the Coffee machine that stated cleaning in progress. I asked a Waitrose partner who was reducing items near the machine to ask how long when it will be ready and the Waitrose partner informed me that the Coffee machine has not been working for a long while. I said to her that is not good service and then left the store without my Free Coffee (very disappointing service from Waitrose) WHY LIE TO CUSTOMERS BY PUTTING A FALSE MESSAGE ON THE COFFEE MACHINE?!

The slightest flaw in customer flow can (and does) screw up the everyone's movement and cause mass hysteria. I don't know what it is about the people who shop here, but they don't seem to know how to move in a supermarket type environment. It's like they arrive at the store and all rules of human motion, and even the laws of physics I'll argue, mysteriously cease. They walk briskly and abruptly stop. They ponder over an item, blocking your access to a display, for way too long. They inexplicably reverse course and swing a full cart around, perilously close to important body parts. They move sloooooowly. They linger. They chat on mobiles in the middle of cramped aisles. They stand with their kids in strollers in front of things you need. They don't move! It happens every time I'm there. Great store otherwise.

Little did I realize my family lives just a few blocks from Waitrose. Upon walking towards the entrance and entering the grocery store, the ambiance and appearance were bright and cheery. The lime green hues were calming as well. Perusing through the isles was reminiscent to the Rainbow Market located in El Cerrito CA USA. The wine selection had quite a few different varieties including, lol~"The Rest Of The World" humorous labeling. The pastries were not labeled with the entire list of ingredients used making each pastry so, I was unsure what the ingredients used were. The common daily necessities such as organic milk and eggs were ample as well as diapers for my grand-daughter and TP located on the shelving were plentiful, too. Fruit and veggies appeared fresh as well which my daughter bought three bananas for my grand-daughter.

Every time i've been in there the staff have been lovely, courteous and patient (which is a surprise considering some of the rude lunch crowd they get through). I normally do my 'side shopping' at the Co-Op on old street itself, but since that store is closed at the moment for refurbishment I ventured a bit 'up market' and I have to say, I'm glad I did. The selection of food, fruit and veg on offer is staggering in comparison to the co-op. Everything I've eaten from here has been faultless, which is surprising considering the first sandwich I bought was a cheese and celery (It sounds weird but I couldn't resist). One thing that suprised me was definitely the price, it was my misconception that Waitrose was very expensive when compared to other retailers. OH HOW WRONG I WAS! On the items i bought (sandwiches, fruit and other nic-nacs) Waitrose was consistently the same price or cheaper than it's counterparts. Located towards one of the ends of The Brunswick Centre, I called in this branch of Waitrose to…read moretake a quick look around before heading to Wembley Stadium, it's in a good location within the centre and is close to many restaurants (like most of Central London) and it is also really close and within walking distance of Euston and St Pancras, albeit if you're looking for the tube the store is much closer to Russell Square. It is a decent size Waitrose store but many things about it which I usually like about Waitrose seem to let it down, for example, the staff members seemed a little rude and to just get in the way especially when stacking shelves, it seemed like they had a rude and careless attitude which was a shame. The selection of drinks in the store which was the main purpose of my visit wasn't too great, with a poor selection of Iced teas, with the only one available being Fuzetea (they didn't even have the mango flavour either, just the peach one I don't like!) Like with all Waitrose there was the quick scan via your phone service "quick check", however, I couldn't find where to go at all to activate your shopping, the only part easy to find was the checkout for people using the service. With no barcode to scan in obvious sight or mini-handheld scanners which the service uses, this part of the store could definitely be better organised. The location isn't bad and it is nice to have a decent sized supermarket in this location, which was within walking distance of the Hilton London Euston in which I was regretfully staying during my time in London, but many parts of the store such as stock of certain items, organisation and staff members do let it down so it sadly does not justify anything over a two-star rating.
