Sophie is THE best microblader (real word) out there. If you want your brows looking fresh and snatched all the way together.... head her way! The only thing you will regret is not doing this sooner! I know from personal experience. It's the best investment you can make if you care about your brows! For my fellow redheads, it's hard to find someone who takes the time like Sophie does, matching and making sure if goes with your hair color! So look no further! DO IT!

I finally made the decision to get my eyes microbladed and I'm so glad that I went with Sophie! She did an amazing job, kept me apprised of what she was doing, and have great follow up tips. I will be back for a touch up but I'm thrilled with my first session.

This was a few months after everything healed and I was just living my life with flawless brows!

Where to being with this review! I wanted to get microblading for quite sometime but was always a little scared. What if I mess up my face, what if I don't like it, etc.. I would regularly look on social media at different artists and eventually I came across Sophie's page. I immediately liked what I saw more so than any other artist I'd looked at. There was just something so natural about her work AND she would post pictures of healed results which I had a hard time finding on other pages. I finally booked an apt. I was SO nervous. I drove the 3 hours to LA where she was located at the time and immediately upon my arrival she made me feel comfortable and we worked together to find a nice shape for my brows. She has a wonderful bedside manor and I would say she is naturally a soothing person. Good traits to have in her line of work! We finished my brows and I went on home. Just like the post care directions say - your brows will look dark and thick the first few days after and it's a little alarming BUT trusting the process and following the aftercare directions is so important. My brows ended up healing AMAZING! I couldn't believe how nice they looked. I went back 6 weeks later for my touch up apt. Again - my brows healed amazing! She doesn't put the strokes to close together so they look nice and natural. So for the next year and a half I had amazing brows - no muss, no fuss. They even faded beautifully and never once did I regret my decision. A few days ago I just traveled to Austin to get my yearly touch up ( I live in San Diego btw ) because I know Sophie is worth the trip and I trust in her skills completely. I am so happy that I found her - she literally changed my face!!! If you're thinking about getting this done but not sure - DO IT! I love having beautiful eyebrows and I can't recommend her enough.

Owned by the same guy that owns Amillion Tattoo (where Magic Laser is). These seem like really cool people that care about their work. I am not going to lie. I was super skeptical about doing this whole laser thing. I did extensive research online. Most of the stuff online is so so. I got discouraged the more I looked online. Jill at Amillion was my Laser tech. The first day I went in for my consultation she said the tattoo needed to heal more. I went in the next week and she said it still needed to heal. This shows me they care about my skin! I went in yesterday 8/2/2013. She took a look and said we could hit most of the tattoo This is a big piece by the way. I soo wanted to get the anticipation of what the laser would feel like out of my head. I have a fairly high pain tolerance, but I'm a newb when it comes to this. When I was about to start the actual first laser experience Jill kind of shocked me. She seemed to get really professional on me. I kept felling more comfortable around her. She gave me a little test to see what it felt like. It wasn't that bad really. You will do anything you must to get what you want lol. The process does not really take long at all. It does hurt worse than actually getting a tattoo but the pain is bearable. I will go back this next week to get the of the laser treatment done. I will updated y'all later on the progress. Thanks Scott Ellis for having these things available for people who need them! Ohhh.. I wanted to have "him" with me in some way for the rest of my life... enter ZULU. I am a hairdresser, and a wonderful client of mine said to me one day as we were discussing tattoos, "there's nobody on earth I'd let tattoo me other than Zulu". This is HIGH praise coming from this particular woman, so I looked him up. As soon as I went to his website, I felt an energy that I can only describe as "this is it, this is my guy", I knew it immediately. Browsing through his work, I was blown away. His meticulous attention to detail is unmatched. He is an ARTIST of the highest degree. His website images don't do justice to the work- I don't think any picture of his work can do his art justice. You *have* to see it to believe it. I had a consultation with him, and shared with him images of things I liked, and things I'm drawn to, but mostly I wanted him to create it. Several days later, he sent me an image of what he came up with, and it was a slam dunk, just as I knew it would be. It took 3 sessions to complete, and it is a MASTERPIECE. I love the art on my forearm so much it's stupid. I get so much attention because it's so incredible. I even met Prince's band The Revolution, and they were blown away! Wendy and Lisa couldn't stop touching it! Anyway, you get my point, right? So here's another thing... Zulu himself is an amazing human being. He and I had the most wonderful conversations and now he's my friend forever. Choose Zulu as your artist and you'll have more than just a tattoo, you'll have a masterpiece.

So this past weekend was my first experience directly under the hand of Zulu. Since we visited a…read morefew months ago for him to work on my wife's back, he and I have been in contact about what I've had planned for the remainder of the sleeve on my right arm. Because I travel for 6 months of the year the remainder of our conversations have been via email and also a 30 minute FaceTime consultation while I was overseas in place of a telephone call. Khani (shop mgr/wife) has done a wonderful job throughout of keeping the flow going and making sure that Zulu was available to discuss issues with me as needed. Zulu spent a considerable amount of time prepping for our arrival this trip as I had provided a number of different pieces of Tibetan art work to use for reference on my arm. After the FaceTime consult he fully understood what I wanted and that he was also given full artistic license to do what looked right and would flow with what I already had on my arm. He is only the second artist I've aver talked to that immediately got my concept and was genuinely excited about doing the work I was requesting. This was first obvious to me when we originally visited, but once we had talked and he started the work on the final design, the true light came out in Zulu. I arrived about 15 minutes early to the studio and just sat while he continued to collect his thoughts and worked to get the various pieces setup. We started with a fitting of the largest piece that would be done which was a full incarnation of Mara in demon form. Zulu only needed to resize it once and then worked on the angle and layout on my forearm (which is not big in any way) however, he laid it out to allow for the rest of the piece around and on the back of my arm. Once we had it fully laid out he applied the initial stencil for Mara and then he got to work. Zulu uses a rotary gun to apply his tattoos (as does Pinky which makes for a soothing sound in the small space). The beauty of this style of application is that unlike a normal gun that basically hammers you throughout the process, the rotary is more like a smooth flowing motion. When you add this to the extremely delicate touch that Zulu has while tattooing it makes for the absolute most pleasurable experience I've had to date. There was literally no pain until about the last 10 minutes of the session. We took a total of 4.5 hours to do all of the outline work for my arm, the detail in person looks unlike any I previously thought possible from a tattoo. His classical art training comes out when he works and his chair side manor is beyond reproach. The music in the studio is also spot on allowing Zulu to get into his groove and produce the beginnings of a masterpiece. I say beginnings because I can't wait to come back to finish the color and shading in November. Bottom line: if you want something that is truly a masterpiece on you as the canvas...than Zulu is the person to do it for you. There is no longer a need for me to search out an artist for my other projects, Zulu has a client for life.

Getting laser hair removal can be akaward in some areas, it can also be uncomfortable but she completely understands and will be your number one fan, cheering you on with every zap! Let me go ahead and prepare some of y'all with a little heads up on Laser hair removal. It is not for the weak willed! It is gonna hurt. Remember no pain, no gain. It's true for LHR. Also try to be mindful when you get zapped, don't scream and yell. Be an adult, suck it up and silently cry on the inside. I personally take two Tylenol and two ibuprofen 30- 45 minutes before hand and it helps a lot! The session probably lasts 5 minutes. It's the assessment/ test zaps that take the most time, to ensure the laser is on a high enough setting to actually damaged the hair follicle and cause that delayed regrowth which will eventually become permanent. I see Lana for my treatments and she is so knowledgeable and excited about anyone's laser hair removal journey. During my treatment Lana voluntarily breaks Down the patho/science behind how it all works while discussing the current signs she is looking for to ensure that the current laser setting is effective for outstanding results. Lana is patient, she never makes me feel like she is in a hurry, she listens to what I have to say and communicates what is necessary to see results. Im telling y'all, she's a true cheerleader through the whole Laser hair removal experience!

At the consultation I was told it would take at least 3 sessions, which were closer to $125 EACH. That was a red flag and I wish I would've just left at that point. Fast forward, and this is what it looks like now after three sessions and over $300 invested. Obviously this is going to cost a lot more money and more sessions. I just wish he would've been upfront with me at the start, that this would end up being more like $1,000 not $125. That's a *huge* discrepancy, and in that case I would've just kept the tattoo.
