I'm not sure if all Family Dollar stores are this nice or just this one because it's new. The items and layout of the items were all neatly organized and the store is kept clean. I usually hit HyVee first after checking their sale fliers online. I don't do a lot of my shopping here because their prices are higher than Walmart, but they do have great sales on produce and meat very often. So that's what I get there. I like that their parking lot is easy to get in and out of without a hassle. The store is also the perfect size for me. It's not too big and not too small. Their meat counter is great. I'm a regular there so I tend to see the same familiar faces every week. The employees are very friendly and helpful. I really love the fuel saver/rewards card. I usually save $2-$3 on laundry detergent from the digital coupons each month because I'm a member. They also have other great deals for members including saving on gas. I just feel very at home here. When I go to other HyVee stores it just doesn't feel the same. I hope I never move too far because I love this store.

Routh's Rubbish still offers the same great type of liquidation deals and features daily videos, but they have also expanded their hours. This makes it much easier for those of us who live on the other side of town to get over there an take advantage of some of the great deals offered here! Dig bins are available now and then (more often than not). Still offering stellar savings on drinks, bread, chips, Little Debbie's, and occassionally jerky or meat sticks... They've cleaned up the shelving and floor space so that the space has a cleaner feel to it. This makes it a little bit more welcoming to people who aren't used to this type of business. It's still more or less a warehouse space, but it feels more open and a little less congested. I'm going to miss my friend Ted. Routh's took over the business shortly before he passed. I was a big fan, and a supporter, of T.D.s, and I hope to continue doing business with Routh's!
